I requested a quote for a 36/12 lease on a 2020 MDX SH-AWD Tech from a local dealer this week. I mentioned that I was aware that the residual is 57% and the base money factor is 0.00215, but he replied that this money factor is for current Acura customers. He said that the money factor for new customers is 0.00225 and provided a quote using it. Is this true, or is he inflating the MF? Thanks for your help.

Dealer is correct - you can pay a single security deposit to get the .00215 MF. Which we recommend.

Tax in MA is assessed on the monthly payment - I'll guess the $1156.xx is the total tax paid during the lease.

Where is the $595 acquisition fee?

Confirm the adjusted cap cost the dealer is using for their quote, and make sure you understand exactly how they got there.

Keep asking questions until you fully understand the numbers, and the math.
