Probably not - the purchase incentives are much smaller than the lease incentives.

What’s the best way to structure the lease if you plan on buying immediately? Lowest mileage and term? What results in the lowest interest payments for the first couple of months? Thanks

Also does anyone know if the residual on a Maryland lease is taxed? From what I understand you are taxed on the entire cap cost upfront, so I would hope you aren’t taxed again on the residual.

Correct, in MD you pay sales tax for the full vehicle upfront. But, the vehicle will not be in your name. Will you get charged again, when you buy it out? I don't know, but you should find out, obviously.

99 times out of 100, we tell folks to cash out any trade equity and get a check from the dealer. In this case, if the intention is to buy out the lease quickly, reducing the cap cost will make it cheaper for you to buy out the lease.
