    I also had a question regarding sales tax on a lease. After trying to negotiate the monthly payment down with the dealer, the dealer proposed to include the taxes if I paid a slightly higher monthly payment. The monthly payment I proposed would've been more after taxes were added on. I am confused as to why the dealer did this and how this profits them.

    FL taxes the monthly payment on a lease; there's no 'option' available to you, or the dealer, to modify that.

    I got a deal on a 2020 C300 Sedan RWD, which is a loaner car with 6,000 mileage on it.
    36mo/12k miles in zipcode 89146.

    MSRP/Sale Price: $39,995.00 +
    Acquisition Fee: $1095.00 =
    Established Value: $41,090.00

    Residual Value: $24,231.85
    Monthly Payment: $568.22 (Fix Rent) + $47.59 (Sales Tax) = $615.81

    Upfront Tax Due: $58.21
    Title Fee: $29.25
    Doc Fee: $695.00
    Total Drive-off: $1398.27

    $0 Down Payment.
    The money factor they gave me is 0.00153.
    The MF seems a bit marked up, but I am not sure if this is because it's a loaner car.

    Any help would be appreciated!
