    Total down payment is $4500.00, it would need to include the first payment if that is necessary. Sorry most of this was done through text messaging.
    Tax listed separately is $380.63 which seems really low to me but hey I'm not gonna complain. The doc fee is 599.00 and license fee is 136.75 for the total i listed.

    Considering the $500 dealer incentive and the $600 doc fee, your effective discount is just $2900. Reduce that by another $450 for Trans, and $300 acq.fee markup, and you are just getting $2150 off. On an outgoing 2020 model.
    Doesn't seem like a great deal to me.

    The $380 tax is the upfront tax on your downpayment. Sales tax is also added to the monthly payment.

    If the "balance" is also the Adjusted CAP cost, then it looks like they are marking up the money factor, as well.

    Ok I appreciate the info. They are also taking a hit for me on my lease turn in that needs 4 tires and no turn in fee, so some of the loss on discount I am fine with. But the money factor needs to be .00056 I think. May also work on the acquisition fee. I really don't wont to loose the cooperation on the lease turn in. The set of tires is greater than $1000 and the car was in an accident. But it is under on miles. I agree an outgoing model 2020 should be discounted, but does the lack of inventory affect that? Most dealers have at most 2 or 3 C-300's. Some have 0, others have 1. None that my wife wants except for this one.

    Can I still negotiate all this if I signed the worksheet and put a deposit down? I did not visit finance yet.

    The lack of inventory is a pretty big issue, for pricing. Simple supply and demand.

    And, as you've noted, this is the only one the wife wants.

    Not sure how much leverage you have at this point.

    in SoCal trying to decide if I should opt for payoff at lease end (just under $29K) on 2018 C300 4matic. Way under mileage, it has all the options we want including 17" wheels - which seem to wear longer without too soft a ride. Been trying to find a similar appointed 2020 4matic with no luck. Searched other states, WA, OR but was chagrined that when I found a ride close to what we're driving now the sticker was in the mid $50s, so the monthly payment was quite a bit higher than my current lease. which has about 6 weeks left. Thinking I might buyout car and hold on to till 2022 model comes out - which is when a model makeover is rumored to occur. Thanks for any input or suggestions. Sullivan

    I don't know the value of your current vehicle. Have you looked to see what they are selling for?
    Of course, if you buy it out, you'll owe sales tax. On the plus side, you have another year of warranty left.
