Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could comment on the lease offer I have received.

2020 Mazda CX5 AWD Grand Touring with Premium Package
36 months/12k a year
Inclusive of $7500 trade/down payment for my current Mazda 3
$135/month including taxes and fees.

I don't plan on using the entire $7500 for down payment, its what I'm using as a reference point when comparing other dealers/cars.

Are there any pros/cons to using the entire amount of trade in for down payment on a lease?

What is your ZIP code?

Our advise is to not use any of the equity, and simply have the dealer cut you a check.

If the new car were to be stolen or totaled, you would lose that money. And, it simply masks the true cost of the lease.
