Received an email from Mazda offering $650 in lease to lease loyalty reward (this is in addition to the $1,500 owner loyalty reward). Deals can be combined, however, the fine print shows, "Offer cannot be combined with Customer Cash or APR incentives."

My question: is 'Lease Cash' the same as 'Customer Cash'?

MCS is no longer being used evidently. Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC) launched a private label business with Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) through the creation of Mazda Financial Services (MFS) on 4/1/20. $650 appears to be a valid acquisition (bank) fee via Mazda USA online - posting here in the event that others were unaware of the change.

Well. I think I got a good deal. Mica White GT AWD with a sticker of $44750. I did have loyalty incentive. I live in MD where 6% tax is levied on the selling price, not the payment. I broke my rule and haggled by the payment, not the out the door price, but $420 per month with absolutely nothing down sounds good to me. Working back, I get $39,000 plus tax and tags. I'm happy. That's a 10/36 BTW.

I broke that lease payment / selling price rule myself when I got my CX5, and think I might break it again on a CX9. $420 is good -- I hope to get that WITH monthly tax on a GT AWD 36/10. Thanks for reporting (I wish more folks would!).

Once you've done the math, and know what a certain payment actually means, relative to discounts, selling price, etc... then, there is no issue with how you negotiate to get to what you want.

The $420 WAS with tax. And Maryland charges you 6% on the negotiated price, not the payment. So there is about $2400 of tax in there somewhere. Not sure where. I'll grab the lease doc and report later. Very happy.

Unable to attach my deal as an image. Sticker was $44750. Off the top I got a straight discount of $3427, then loyalty rebates of $2150. I also notice that they applied my old lease as a trade in which reduced Maryland taxes by about half - in MD you pay the entire 6% of the selling price in the lease, unlike other states where the tax is applied to the payment amount. But a trade in reduces that, even if you owe on the trade in. Anyway, $420 per month with nothing down works for me.

2. This was for a CX-9? Keen to know trim level ie Touring, Grand Touring, FWD vs AWD, etc.?
3. $0 down: did you pay first month at signing?
