    Thank you! The dealer is saying MF is .002 and my credit is in the 750 range and without asking on here we were thinking it was high.

    Dumb question- where do you get the MF from? Is that an average of MF from other leases? I want to negotiate the MF but want to understand where the data comes from.

    We get our numbers from VW Credit.

    Dealers are allowed to mark up the MF for extra profit.

    Insist on the base rate, or shop a different dealer.

    What am I missing here? If I use 49,400 I get a payment of $728.

    Don’t have the selling price in front of me but I imagine it can be determined though backing into the payment. The $1200 check also factors in.

    Selling price is $45,970 after you factor in the $1200 check they’re cutting me.
    Adjusted CAP of $49,400 to get that payment, with the base MF.

    In essence, the $1200 is still coming out of your pocket. If the dealership weren't cutting you the check, they could lower the price by the same amount.

    I don't think $48,350 is your adjusted CAP. If it was, then your payment would be $622/mo. Your adjusted CAP might be $48350 + $1200 that the dealer is cutting a check for. That would be closer.

    Not sure what "$322.93 interest" refers to.

    What calculator are you using? I can’t get the same numbers as you. I am using leashackr and using $45989.50 as the sale price then adding in the taxes/fees (and capitalizing them) I am getting right around the $650. ($647 to be exact)

    Adjusted CAP cost of $49,400, with .00068 MF and 53% residual for 39 months = $650.10/mo.

    I agree with the dealer. $1200 less would drop the payment by $32/mo.

    Are you ignoring tax or something? If I use $49400, 39 months at .00068 with a residual of $26047 I get a total payment of $693.41

    I think something is off in your math?

    Either way, I have to decide if I want the $1200 now or the lower payment.


    Edit: I see what you are saying now. What formula are you using to calculate the payment with the adjusted cap cost MF and residual?
