    The difference with your current lease? The upfront cost has already happened. It’s only $268/mo more to keep driving it for another year. I’d wait until closer to lease end. Or, at least until late in the model year, to grab a better deal. No point in trading now.

    Term is 27 months.
    So, true total cost is $346/month.

    Current 2019 cost is $359 including our upfront $3300 we paid at lease signing.

    So, as much as we've enjoyed our $268 payment and don't need a new vehicle right now--it seems like their new offer is better (aside from having to cough up another $3300). Thoughts? And thanks for your patience.

    Having to cough up another $3300 is the whole point, though. You aren’t saving any money by trading. Your cost going forward on the current lease is $268/mo. Just stick with it.

    Sounds like a plan! Thanks for your input. We were on the fence with this, but we're perfectly happy with our 2019. This solidifies it. We'll take the next 12 months to figure out what to do at the end of the lease. Most likely, we'll go into another lease.
    Now the question is--has anyone ever successfully negotiated 0 down and kept their payment low, or is it more a matter of getting the cost of the new vehicle dropped?

    But, the dealer gets a $1750 incentive, so the effective discount is about $2450.

    Great input. If I am in the market for 8 seat SUV (with middle row bench) for 12/36 term lease in TX what would you recommend. I am not fancy about brand, I need it more from a practical perspective. Currently I lease a Toyota Highlander XLE 2018 if it gives a perspective of my requirements. Based on your experience and numbers what should be my choice of SUVs I should be exploring. Thanks for all your help.

I am not fancy about brand, I need it more from a practical perspective. Currently I lease a Toyota Highlander XLE 2018 if it gives a perspective of my requirements. Based on your experience and numbers what should be my choice of SUVs I should be exploring. Thanks for all your help.

    Dealer so far has applied $1750 incentive and some dealer cash and brought the price down to $32206 from MSRP of $36405. How can I get the dealer to reduce the price further down. Other than asking straight up to reduce the price what are the techniques or tactics I can employ get the sale price/cap cost down? Thanks
