2021 Honda Pilot Lease Deals and Prices

I believe that they are showing us a discount of $5,891 upfront, then subtracting incentives from that. We currently have a 2018 Toyota Highlander to qualify us for an incentive. Is it $750 for one incentive and $1,000 on the other?

The way they are explaining the amount due at signing is confusing. We don’t want to put a down payment. We only want to pay the first payment, dealer fee, and acquisition at signing to get the correct monthly base payment on the lease. Knowing this info, how are the lease payment calculations on a 36/12k?

That first worksheet is for the prior deal that happened in November 2020, the incentive was only $1,000 at the time. The residual seems to be the same at 59%, but the money factor is worse now lol. I'm getting my ducks in a row so that we can pull the trigger this week. Here's my cheat sheet and the new proposal from the dealer today in Colorado. It's confusing for us to understand the line items in the quote. We know that dealer handling is $599, acquisition fee is $595, $199 accessorie fee for some security product already installed, and a $7.20 filing fee. Our base payment is too high and adjusted cap cost doesn't make sense to us. What are they up to?

@MountainLease007 The last document has the correct payment of $553/mo, as structured in the quote.
If you pay the $1201 in fees upfront (in addition to the first payment), then the payment would drop to about $515/mo.

The $1750 in incentives are Honda to dealer, and are reflected in the dealer discount. There is no further $1750 incentive under what they've quoted.

Seems so. We are learning more as we go. We had leased a prior 2021 Honda Elite AWD and have built some report with many of our Honda dealers in Colorado. They know that aren’t just kicking tires at this stage. $515 with tax is much better than when we started at $553 in the beginning! We see how the meeting goes and if we take delivery at this stage.

Looked a little deeper and you are right, this is through US Bank not Honda financial. Do you see a problem going through US bank?

They are a pain at lease end, and it's almost impossible to get out of the lease, as they restrict sales, mid-term.

We have noticed that most dealers will acknowledge that there is a non-taxed manufacturer-to-dealer incentive for $1,750, and will include this awesome savings in their quote. Others simply deny it exists. The dealer that is being difficult has a certain color combo that we like. Any tips to conquer this obstacle? Do you have an incentive sheet that you can share?

As it's a dealer incentive, there's nothing to point to. Dealer is free to use it, or not, in any offer they make you.

The $595 is the lease acquisition fee. You've listed $595 again as a Documentation fee. Is that another typo?

In the calculator, you list $299 as a dealer fee, but you don't show it in the DAS you list above.

I also question where the $500 untaxed incentive comes in. Are you sure that isn't already reflected in the sale price?

The DAS list above was in an email from the dealership. The rest (msrp, sell price, mf, rv, dealer fee, tire fee and smog fee) was jotted down over a phone conversation.
I assume the $595 Doc fee from the dealership is in addition to the $595 lease acquisition fee.
I've updated the dealer fee to ($595 Doc Fee + $299 Dealer Fee + 7.50 Tire Fee + 7.10 Smog Fee) = 908.6

BTW...i'm aware there is a $1750 incentive from Honda. This dealership said they are not aware of it. Right now I am just trying to make sure I can calculate the lease #'s correctly.

What is the amount Due at Signing, with the $499/mo. quote?

The $1750 incentive is Honda to dealer. It will be part of any discount you negotiate. You won't see it as a line item in your deal.

One of those $595 fees is the lease acquisition fee. The other one would be a dealer or doc fee. I only see one $595 fee in your lease calculator.

I have a typo on the Dealer Fee, should be (299 + 7.50 (Tire Fee) + 7.10 (Smog Fee)) = $313.60.

Documentation fee $595.00
Taxes $1,113.24

For a total of $2,511.77

I got $425 in the lease calculator. Appreciate the help in trying to get this right.

The $595 is the lease acquisition fee. You've listed $595 again as a Documentation fee. Is that another typo?

In the calculator, you list $299 as a dealer fee, but you don't show it in the DAS you list above.

I also question where the $500 untaxed incentive comes in. Are you sure that isn't already reflected in the sale price?

Are you certain of the DAS you've listed above? Is that from the dealer, or your assumptions?

The DAS list above was in an email from the dealership. The rest (msrp, sell price, mf, rv, dealer fee, tire fee and smog fee) was jotted down over a phone conversation.
I assume the $595 Doc fee from the dealership is in addition to the $595 lease acquisition fee.
I've updated the dealer fee to ($595 Doc Fee + $299 Dealer Fee + 7.50 Tire Fee + 7.10 Smog Fee) = 908.6

No, doc fee and dealer fee are the same thing. I think there is some miscommunication. But, there also could be charges that you don't know about. No point in trying to get the math to work, if you don't know all of the inputs.
