We looked at the Toyota Highlander platinum lease numbers this month. Does the Honda Pilot and or Acura MDX lease better than the Toyota Highlander? Our goal is to get a monthly lease payment of $520 with 15,000 miles per year on a top trim level in an AWD luxury SUV that seats 7.

For comparison, our Toyota Highlander Platinum AWD numbers are:

MSRP is $50,393
Selling at $44,898
36 months / 15,000 miles per year
(0 down or the lowest amount down you suggest)
* Cap Cost would include a $650 acquisition fee, no D&H fees, a $7.20 doc fee, $399 GAP insurance, and our 3.025% tax rate to our zip code in Dillon, Colorado (80435).

Sorry when I wrote "not just the residual value" I meant "not just the depreciation amount".

The tax amount will be applied to the full selling price of the vehicle.
Add the tax amount to the CAP cost, before calculating the lease payment, assuming you are rolling the tax in. The tax amount is remitted to the state at lease inception.

Hi, I ended up getting a 2021 Pilot EX-L:
Sharing with you the final numbers, as feedback.


It was agreed a $400 monthly payment (zero down ... the $759.94 indicated as "due at signing" I guess it was a further discount.. I didn't pay it), which I have decided to add the 3 years maintenance cost upfrot ($575 value) that added ~$16 dollars per month (so $416 final monthly payment).
36mo/10k lease.
I understand also that tax credit was applied by the dealership to reach the final number. I don't understand exactly how that works.
