    The residual value is the bank calculated value of the car at the end of the lease term; it is a percentage of the MSRP.

    Residual is fixed by the bank and cannot be altered.

    The MF, OTOH, can be marked up .00040 at dealer discretion.

    So…how would it work if someone wanted to buy the car, but chose to lease to take advantage of the $7500 lease credit? Can you buy out early? Or, trade in and plan to buy at the end of lease?

    I suspect there is no good answer for this, but would BMW continue the lease credit into March or would it let it expire by the end of February? My car is stuck at the port due to the stop sale and I'm wondering if I'm going to lose the lease credit because of this. TIA.

    Sorry, no info on that. If it's a stop sale, I doubt there is anything your dealer can do about it.

    Does BMW do low mileage leases? Like 7500 miles per year, for 36 months? If so, can I get the MF, and residual for an IX50 for 2023? I'm assuming the $7500 gets reduced from msrp (pre-tax) in calculating payment? Any other local dealer participation these days? Or does that depend? Thanks.

    The $7500 is applied as a CAP cost reduction, just like you were making a downpayment. Which means it is subject to sales tax.

    NY also has a $500 Drive Clean rebate.

    Has money factor ticked up, or is dealer playing games?

    Was today quoted as follows:

    Residual value 54% 36/7500 a year
    Money facto 0.00205.

    Was also quoted, acquisition fee of $925, NYS dealer fee of $175. These legit?
