Sounds like you are going to pay too much. I purchased a new 2006 G35 Coupe, Auto, Prem, Aero, Sport, splash and trunk mat for 35,982 plus ttl. Not sure what part of the country you are in but in Northern Virginia you can get any Coupe for around Invoice or under.

dashbb, i was looking to buy an 06 G35 too. I saw the incentives on edmunds website. But when i asked the dealer for $2000 incentive (G35 RWD) under invoice, he denied there were any incentives for G35.

I think there is a $1000 incentive for G35 AWD. How can i confirm the incentive - is it posted on the nissan websites? Thanks for the post!

Spoke to a dealer today, mentioned the $2000 incentive. He said it was for purchase only, not leases - it does exist! I'm looking for a lease - 24 mo. Any deals out there? Currently getting an offer of $1,100 over invoice on a loaded sedan.

I am on the verge of purchasing a mint '04 G35. It's owned by a friend who is now headed for 550i Bimmer category. He has done very well for himself. He also takes excellent care of his cars.
The G35 cpe. has just over 19K miles. He said he had fun in it but the tires have normal wear. Does not look like more than half wear to me, and I hear they can go fast on this kind of vehicle. He has the sport/automatic, I was looking for a stick orginally, and also a sport coupe or roadster for around $25K.
But this car has cast it's spell on me. From it's immaculate diamond graphite finish, 3M clear bra on front, Huper Optik tinted windows, premium package, aero package, optional wheels, sport suspension, Bose...
    And the price is right.
Who am I kidding?.. I doubt I want to look further!
While I want a sporty/performance car, I also want a vehicle that has a practical and comfortable side for the occassional long trip to the ocean or mountains, and carrying one or two folks in the back when necessary (not for long hauls..) I keep talking myself into it, what can I say?

Not sure this really responds to you, but just before the 4th I saw something at the Infiniti website advertising a 24 month lease on the coupe for $359 and on the AWD for $369. I was biding my time closer to the 2007s but that got me going. Unfortunately, it was taken off the site a couple days later and just says "special lease and finance offers."
I am going to the dealer tomorrow to test drive again with my wife and am planning to walk for 2-3 weeks if he doesn't blow me away. He has promised to make me a deal that will "blow me away." How considerate!

Anyone know what kind of residual % and lease factor I should be looking at for the coupe, both AWD and not?
  • billm5billm5 Member Posts: 3
Same deals here in Atlanta, but for base models. They also add 1000-1200 in dealer fees (acquisition, doc fees) to the lease, plus options. I have them down to $36,000 on Cap cost with Prem pkg C, XM, Nav, Wood, and Splash guards, Invoice is $34,903. Still feels like I'm paying too much. Any better deals out there?
  • murrowmurrow Member Posts: 72
...are such a scam. Sure, the dealers COULD just give you a simple bottom line price. But instead, customers get a FAKE price to which dealers add $499 or more in pure profit at the last second, just before you sign the papers. And of course they don't tell you about the dealer fee up front, unless you ask. This is pure BS.

The doc fee is a pure scam too. Paperwork is PART OF THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS. I would love to charge my clients for filling out the paperwork necessary for them to buy my product. Maybe I should charge for staples and paperclips too! It's why dealers get a bad rep -- because they deserve it. They need to stop playing games.

Beaverton Infiniti (outside Portland, OR), got me an AWD 2006 G35 with NAV and Premium Package C on a 24 month lease.
Drive off cost (incl 1st month, licensing, pay down): $3000
    Payment: $400.04
    Residual: 67%
    Lease Factor: .00031
Hope this helps... I'm going to go have fun now.

One more thing... 10,000 miles limit.
  • billm5billm5 Member Posts: 3
    Thanks,
After looking at your deal, I think I'm in the same boat. I'm buying miles up to 25000/year, so my ultimate payment will be bumped up by about 83/mo from the base mileage of 15000 (.10/mile-not too bad. But the F&I guy is quoting me .00075 on the money factor, Infiniti offers .00052 right now, he says he has to make some. Go figure...

Does anybody know if i can pick up the g35x for a 12 month lease?
  • buprestidbuprestid Member Posts: 6
    Hi all,

I was offered 27,995 for a base auto G35 sedan. That is 400 dollars over invoice minus the 2000 dollar rebate. Out-the-door is just over 30,000 with no other fees other then tax.

This was with no bargaining. I am hoping to get it for 27,580 which is invoice minus 2000. 27,580 is a not to bad for a new car.

Anyway G35 year-to-date sales and monthly sales are both 20% down even for months with these huge rebates. They must be sitting on large inventories. I bet the prices will continue to trend down until inventories are reduced and 2007 G35s start arriving. I'll wait for end of August or September and see what kind of deal I can get.

headed toward $4/gallon, the Nissan 3.5 litre engine, wonderful in all other respects, is about to fall on hard times.

    Bargain accordingly.

I recently purchased a 2006 G35 Sedan base model in Houston. I got it for $28700/- while the invoice price was about 29600/- That is about $650 below invoice. So what do you folks think? Was that a good deal. My final price including all the taxes and fees was $31,034. I got 5.95% financing for 60 months.

I just love my inifiniti :)

    "Doc Fee............... 695.00"

OK. Stop right there. Folks like to haggle over an extra couple of hundred bucks under or over invoice and let stuff like this slide. Where I used to work, our doc. fee was $45 and not a penny more. The doc fee is all pure profit and is negotiable like anything else.
  • buprestidbuprestid Member Posts: 6
Bad deal. 29580 minus 2000 manufacturer to deal rebate is 27,580. I was offered this price, although I am in north california where there are like 5 dealerships within 50 miles. Infiniti G35 sales are down very substantially. You could have gotten better.
  • guruggurug Member Posts: 24
here are my intial offers for the car( please note that due to the higher tax in california, the deal may seem a lil higher than other regions).

2006 G35 Coupe Auto with Premium Package (intelligent key) and Performance package (18inch wheels) and splash gaurds. Black Color.

    One year Lease:
    18 K miles /yr,
$1500 drive off (payments + taxes bla bla )
    $434/month

    Two year lease:
    18K miles/yr
    $1500 drive off
    $499/yr

    What i settled for
    2 yr lease
    24K miles/yr
    $2600 drive off
    $499 /month

what do you guys think. i personally think not too bad but maybe slightly high but worth every penny trust me . there was def alot of good deals for one year leases but that time frame was too less for me.

the shoppin experience from this particular dealership was great though. Infiniti of Oakland, the rep was Anand Reddy who drove one hour to pick me up because i did not have a car to come to the dealship and see the car. They even gave me a loaner for a day while my loan was in the approval process. Totally opposite to the experience at Frontier inifiniti in san jose which were zerroooo on their customer service skills and were trying to rip me off.

I bought a 2006 G35x with premium package C with an out the door price of 34,900. I'm in California, so the price was around 31,900..so with tax and license it ended up about 34,900. I was gonna wait for the brand new 2007, but decided I didn't want pay MSRP and didn't want a first year model. So I was expecting a good deal on the 2006...was this a good deal or not?
  • buprestidbuprestid Member Posts: 6
That is a great deal. 2000 dollars less then invoice with only a 1000 dollar manufacturer to dealer rebate being offered right now. Can you let me know what dealer you went too? I am in northern california and am looking to purchase one soon.
  • osubucksosubucks Member Posts: 1
I just wanted to verify that you purchased the G35X and not the G35 because that seems like a very good price. I am also only seeing 1k incentive for the G35X.
  • backergolfbackergolf Member Posts: 2
Here is the final deal that I got.
G35 black on stone, XM radio, Package C out the door.
35000.00. I could not do any better than that, This includes tax and all the dealer bs. I hope that this helps. I am at the most farthest point from California. Miami Florida.
  • tstewtstew Member Posts: 3
Yes, it is the G35x. I wanted the AWD for snowboarding trips. Dealer said they were taking a loss on the car, but they want a large alotment of the incoming 2007 model so they want to clear any 2006 models so they have more than any other dealers in the area.
  • cluedweaselcluedweasel Member Posts: 150
Did you have a trade and, if so, were they fair on that?
  • tstewtstew Member Posts: 3
    Nope, no trade in.

Just purchased an 06 G35 Sedan, Graphite w/stone, Premium package C, wood trim package, XM, splashguards, trunk mat. I paid 31279 (MSRP; 36400, Invoice; 33279, less 2000 marketing support) plus 499 doc fee, 7% sales tax, 43 title fee, for a total (no trade) cash out the door price of 34045.41. After that, I purchased the factory painted rear spoiler from parts department for 445 (discounted) plus tax.

I just finished installing the rear spoiler myself, (dealer wanted 725 for spoiler and installation). Very distressing drilling big holes in a brand new car. However it turned out great, no regrets. Template if fine for hole pattern on each side of the spoiler itself, however, double-checks the spacing between the left and right side. The templates are designed for lining up on the edge of the trunk deck. When I did this the holes would have been space about a 1/4" too far apart, I readjusted the template about an 1/8" in from the edge of the trunk deck and holes lined up fine. The holes you have to drill are huge, two 3/8" (forward hole on each side, a stud on the spoiler goes through this hole and cap nuts are installed on the underside of the truck. The studs are a 1/4" they oversize the hole for margin of error, I ended up with a 5/16" hole). The two rear holes are a whopping 11/16" (a snap-in-insert goes here and a plastic stud on the spoiler goes into the insert, there is adhesive tape on the rear portion of the spoiler gasket that sticks to the trunk deck, this is because it is a blind hole and you cant attach a nut on the back side of the spoiler the way the trunk is stamped and welded). A fifth hole on the right side, 5/8" is for the electrical lead that supports the brake light, a rubber grommet goes in this hole. Electrical connections are easy as it is prewired for the wing. Like I said it looks great now, but it is kind of stressful drilling a new car. By the way I center punched holes lightly, used a new sharp 1/8" drill bit for a pilot, stepped up to a 1/4" drill from there and used a "unibit" graduated in 1/8" increments to take up to final size. The unibit makes nice clean holes but cost about $40 at home depot. Make sure you buy bits intended for metal cutting and not wood. The instructions call for a hole saw on the big holes, but the unibit makes a nice clean hole.

Next I'm going to try to install myself the clear bra on the bumper. I had this in my prior G35 (2003.5) and it worked great for eliminating paint pecks (about a $180 for a precut piece of film, $325 if you have it installed by a window tint shop).

These message boards were quite a help as I researched the car I just bought, so I thought I'd chip in.

    My purchase two days ago:
    '06 G35 coupe (graphite/graphite)
    New (161 miles)
    automatic
    power sunroof
    performance tire and wheel package
    splash guards
    trunk mat

Price before taxes and fees: $32,125 ($700 below invoice)
The salesman also verbally promised to provide an extra set of floor mats, but he left while I was dealing w/ financing and I'll have to track him down myself now.

I purchased the Perma Plate and Mobile Guard options for what the finance guy claimed to be "cost"; roughly $800+tax for both. Turned out to be almost 40% LESS than what it would have cost to ADD those onto the extended warranty and gap coverage options, and I was buying them a la carte! ... which proves there's quite a big of wiggle room even with things like this if you act reluctant (which in my case I actually was). Took advantage of APR offer by financing the entire amount at 1.95% over 36 mo.

    Purchased in Santa Monica, CA

Base '06 sedan Diamond Graphite 6MT - only options were the spoiler, trunk mat, and colored splash guards. 32,649 MSRP. Ended up paying 27,723 + 149 doc fee + 25 credit check = $27,897. Very good buying experience, low pressure - I didn't have to haggle much at all, just had to be informed. They even found me pretty good financing for 72 months (6.5%). Overall a great buying experience at Bommarito Infiniti in St. Louis. Not supposed to mention by name but just ask for the internet sales manager - she was great to work with.
  • murrowmurrow Member Posts: 72
They charged you for the CREDIT CHECK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! That's UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! Next, they're going to charge you for the air you breathed in the showroom and for the ink in the pen you used to sign the documents that they also charged you for. Ridiculous!!!!!!
  • vpking1vpking1 Member Posts: 7
I wish I waited. They just sent me an e-mail that they are selling 2006 G35x at $700 below invoice. I got mine at invoice a couple of weeks ago. It's call Infiniti Limited Engagement Summer Event. Just like the ad.
  • asudad50asudad50 Member Posts: 1
Grubbs made me a very good offer I think.

2006 G35 sedan, moonroof, splash guards, trunk mat. The basics.

Diamond Graphite/Stone interior, with Sunroof, Splash Guards and Trunk Mat, MSRP = $33,300, DEALER INVOICE = $30,667, YOUR PRICE = $28,909 or $1,758 behind invoice

I verified this thru Edmunds as dead on. The nice thing is this was on the first quote from Grubbs.

Do you think this is a good deal?
  • murrowmurrow Member Posts: 72
Considering there's a $2,000 dealer incentive right now, I'd say you should be able to do better.
  • mrtrancemrtrance Member Posts: 199
Is the $2000 incentive only for the G35 sedan or for the coupe as well? Also does anyone know if they have a special lease offer for 12 months (like they do for the FX35 right now which has a residual of 80% and MF of 0.00054 for 12 month/15K)? I need a car right now and if they had a special like that and you combine it will the great price you can get, it can turn out to be a great monthly payment.
  • murrowmurrow Member Posts: 72
    sedan only.
  • robertquesrobertques Member Posts: 7
Whats a good price for a RWD Auto Base Sedan in CA?

Carsdirect shows a price of 27,580 which is invoice minus 2000 incentive, how feasible would it be to get that price at a dealership?

    Thanks
    Rob
  • steveriniesteverinie Member Posts: 2
You can absolutely get that price. Before I bought my coupe, the sales guy accidentally quoted me a similar sedan with the entire incentive thrown in.

Hey just wondering which bommarito dealer u have got from as they seem to have couple of them in St. Louis . I am not from st. Louis but moving soon there so if you could specify which one i wud appreciate as iwant to finish the paper work before moving there. Thnx

Just got back from the dealer, here is the proposed deal:

    Base G35x w/sunroof, mat & splash gaurds: $31,788 plus $498 (Doc, etc.) = $32,286

I could live without the sunroof, but I'm having a tough time finding a base G Sedan in my area. I'm going round and round with my trade in. Dealer is offering $13,200 for my 2001 Audi TT Quattro HO Coupe (all options).

How does the deal look? Also, any idea when infinity plans on stopping (or increasing) the $1,000 incentive on the G35x?

    Thanks!
  • ra45tpra45tp Member Posts: 3
Bommarito Infiniti in Ellisville (Its on Manchester in West County). They have quite a few dealerships in town in fact the Infiniti dealership is next to three other Bommarito dealerships right there on Manchester. There are only two Infiniti dealers in St. Louis - Plaza Infiniti is the other but they don't have near the stock and they only seem to have loaded cars. Good luck.
  • perpertual143perpertual143 Member Posts: 4
Thanks ra4tp for info!!..somehow my move to st. louis has been cancelled so had to find near my place - got this deal today G35 Sedan RWD + splash guards + Trunk mat + prem B + sports tuned + Aero + Navigation+ Sirius Satellite = 34855 + 445 doc fees + 6% sales tax + 175 New Title Fees = 37650 .. can someone pls comment if it is good deal ??
  • ra45tpra45tp Member Posts: 3
Looks like you are paying over invoice. With the 2000 cash to dealer incentive (which expires tomorrow) you should be able to do much better - especially since they are sticking you with such a high doc and title fee. I would shoot for at least 2K under invoice unless supply is very limited in your area.
  • perpertual143perpertual143 Member Posts: 4
Dealer quoted me 36500 when i went first time so i went today with mindset that anything under 35k for those options is good deal. also dealer said he cannot give better deal than that as they have to locate one if i need all those options otherwise i have to choose from what they have so unfortunately i had signed the custom order doc with some binding fee. Yes it seems supply is limited in my area as there is only one dealer in our area i have to travel 100 - 150 miles to get other dealers
  • aheahe Member Posts: 8
Just to let you know I am being offered a base 2006 G35 Sedan for $26,900 - at an infiniti dealership in Northern CA., I think you can get someone to match that offer wherever you are from.

I bought a G35 Sedan 6MT last month, the dealer (Cerritos Infiniti) called last week and said that they lost the original sales contract and needed me to sign originals again. I was very suspicious and took a friend, who is an attorney, to check things out with me. They made it sound like it was routine and no big deal. I checked the copy and it was identical the one I originally signed including the date, and didn't have any personal info other than my name and address. Does this sound odd? Anyone similar experience?
