Find out if the destination charge of 790 is included in the e-quote. If it is make this deal.
I'm in OC So Cal and new to this buying experience. I just got a quote from Auto Nation in Costa Mesa, CA for an EX- 4-cyL. Please advise and comment on the quote below. Also, what is the OTD price before tax should I negotiate for an EX and Sport models? I haven't received any details so kindly give me some ideas of the ballpark amt.
Alright, I just got the OTD but I can break it down with minor accuracy loss. Here it is for a 2014 Accord LX Sedan: Car: $18,900 Destination Fee: $790 Tax (6.25): $1,181.25 Vehicle Inventory Tax: $45.14 License Fee: $77.30 Inspection & Title Fee: $56.75 Documentary Fee: $125.00 This comes out to $21,175, but I'm guessing there's some add-on that's adding $125 to make it $21,300.
Good deal at 1804 below dealers invoice after taken doc fee's of 125 dollars into consideration.

Destination charge is included. But I won't bite because of the color and CVT, unless they do better with the price.
I emailed an offer of 21,900 (33% off sticker) for a 2014 Accord EX-L V6 with Navi . What is the likelihood of them accepting this offer? The dealership has three 2014 Accords left, and two of them are EX-L V6 with Navi.
None........... 10k off vehicle is a ridiculous offer
Target price of 2500 below dealers invoice after taking dealers doc fee charge of 125 dollars into consideration should be your firm target price. If uwant to go a few hundred higher that's fine to but remember dealer has 3 left and can sell it cheaper to a un educated buyer for under 2k below and get it..
30,162 is invoice price with dest charge. Tell all dealers you will buy vehicle for $27,537 plus taxes and tags. this gives you your 2500 below dealers invoice price.
Remember if you going to squeeze dealers its done the last 2 days last day of any month. That's how this pricing game is played. Middle of the month dealers still have the price leverage over buyers.
Remember if you going to squeeze dealers its done the last 2 days last day of any month. That's how this pricing game is played. Middle of the month dealers still have the price leverage over buyers.
What happens to new cars that doesn't get sold by end of model year? Do they stay on the lot until it is sold? I would think that a dealer accepting an offer that is 33% off sticker is better than an unsold car that sits on their lot.
Hi Brian, are you able to provide the invoice/dealer pricing for a $25,305 MSRP 2014 Accord Sport Sedan in Texas (Dallas)? Thanks for your help!
Accord Sports Invoice is 23,225 with the 790 dest/ charge included. Your target price in Dallas should start at 2k below dealers invoice trying for as high as 2500 or more.
Supply and demand and your negotiating skills pitting one dealer against the next are key factors in getting that top tier price.

They are sold next year Jan, Feb., still considered a new car or a left over. What happens is a dealer usually finds the un-educated buyer and baits him/ her into thinking for a couple thousand below last years invoice is a steal opposed to paying the higher priced 2015 model.
Hi Brian, can u tell me dealer invoice price on a 2014 EXL V6 w Nav In N. CA (Sacramento area)? So far have 27,988 inc destination, from Marin Honda, am I right to be targeting 27,500-27,600? Steve
Can anyone please list the dealers names and also the best prices for Oregon Honda Dealers.....As the lowest I am getting is $20500 for 2014 Accord LX (incl Dest) Thanks in advance.....

Dealers invoice price is the same price across the country. All dealers work off the same price. Dealers in certain states may be selling these vehicles at a higher or lower below invoice price right now.
The 2014 EXL V-6 w/ Nav invoice = 29,371 @Nada price or 29,372 @Edmunds price list. Dest/ charge of 790 is not included in this price . Make sure you add it to the total when negotiating a price with dealers.
@Nada.com usually lists one dollar cheaper than Edmunds invoice pricing.

I emailed another dealer with my offer of 33% off msrp for an 2014 EX-L V6 with Navi, and one of them came back with their best price of 27,362, including destination. This is 17% off msrp. Too bad it's over my budget by several grand.
17% to 20% off the msrp is a very good price.. Your not buying a Kia or Hyundai. I will tell you from experience and many years negotiating these Honda's
If you could get 2500 below invoice or a few dollars more this month or next that is a knock out deal. 2k below should be the going rate this month for most.
@johnw19 I'm assuming the price includes destination charge. If yes then that's a very good deal. I hope I can get something similar when I do my car shopping next week.
Btw, do you guys think there will be any discounts for Black Friday?
I just got a quote from Thousand Oaks in LA area for an Accord 2015 EX-L 4 cyl. The invoice price is $27,046.88 which they said $1,500 below and the price would be $25,546.88 before TTL. How much room do I have to negotiate? Thanks.
I see this deal at invoice price dealer added 2k to the sale price. then subtracted it....lol
Cash Purchase Options Total Retail Value: $29210.00 ???? dealer raised value price to lower back to invoice... WHY???? Discount: $-3213.12 Selling Price: $25,996.88
Invoice price on your EXL 2015 model 25,996 . Not 27,046......... I do see the correct invoice posted below next to the control number.
I would inquiry about the HDAG charge of.................$ 259??? What is this ?
Invoice= 25,996 minus 1500 is a unbelievable deal doubt dealer will do this price. Buying at invoice price to a couple of hundred below is a GOOD DEAL.

We showed up w/an old car to trade (got the price above before mentioning any trade) so subtracted another 1700 from the selling price before adding in 6% sales tax and title/registration. Went with the 0.9% financing over 60 months.
Was very happy with this deal. I live VT and no one in this state or NH could get within 1600 of this price. We bought from Boch Honda in Norwood, MA. I think their pricing reflects the large volume they sell (this was their original offer to me when I called on the phone to the internet department…no haggling and I didn't try as I felt this was more than fair). They claim to be the largest honda dealer in the world.

I am planning to get a 2014 Accord Sport CVT next week. I currently have a quote for $19,900 + Destination. I think this is a good price even without negotiation. My only concern is that I am a recent college graduate and my credit score is not that great. I do have a full-time job though.
Will this be a problem for me when I try to get financing? Can others who got their Accords through the College Graduate Program share their experiences with me?

The college grad incentive is a 500 dollar off your agreed vehicles price.

brain125 - If the invoice on this car is $25,997 before destination and that is the total price he is being offered before required fees, isn't he at $790 below invoice (i.e. he is not paying for destination which the buyer normally pays for)? Sounds like a good deal to me for a 2015 but not sure what I'm missing. Thanks
The above post is kind of confusing especially his wording. post states the wrong invoice price on that model then dealer writes in email total retail value. Red flags all over this one.. Dealer never discloses where the dest charge is? By law it has to be posted on the bill of sale? This charge is a separate line item charge just like dealers doc fee charge is listed ? I believe this dealer deliberately left out that charge? Now on the other hand The top deal could very well be at 750 below invoice if dealer included the dest charge into the 25,996 number. How poster and dealer broke down deal leaves me wondering . Post claims dealer said invoice is 27,046 when its 25,996 ................. Poster needs top clarify with dealership all numbers again.

Thanks
Here is another way to look at it: 1) What are you really gaining going from a 2013 to a 2015 Accord?; 2) You are currently upside down and by trading it in so early, you are rolling in the debt into the new loan. You are getting into a deeper debt for what is essentially the same car; 3) The cap cost offer on the 2015 is terrible and you can do much better; and 4) $450/mo. for a lease on an Accord is way too much. You can lease a Lexus GS350 with that much dough.
I agree. Sometimes its best to find a different vehicle to lease that you could benefit from $$$$$$ wise. This is wasted money for sure. This car needs to be sold private to get close to the debt owed on it, OR wait to sell making a wash on the sale and debt. You need another year to do this.

Thanks Brian - There's a very good chance that I may be buying a 2015 Accord EXL in the next week as my 2000 Accord is having major problems. I know this question has been asked many times but I just want to confirm my understanding. The invoice price on this car is $25,997, add destination of $820 brings it $26,817. From what I have read, getting close to invoice for a 2015 is a good deal this time of year for a so if I can get close to $26K I would be doing well? Thanks.
There is a 500 dollar cash incentive for the 2015 Accords so depending on your area I would start my offer to buy that day for 500 below dealers invoice price. holding out and making my best deal right at the end of this month.
I really appreciate your advice, and it's really helpful to everyone here. I got the following deal in NE Illinois. Did I pay too much? The dealer would not budge even by $1.
