Negotiating is hard.. I'm not that good at it. Just persistent, and shop enough dealers until I get what is reasonable. We don't have the info on dealer incentives, but obviously, something is there..

Is the $1,500 lease cash still available during August?

Would it be more cost-effective to lease now and purchase at the end of the lease, instead of buying without the additional $1,500 incentive?
I don't know how to do the math, but I'm thinking $1,500 lower sales price with the lease = lower residual and lower overall out of pocket, to lease and then purchase?

I'm planning on keeping the car long-tem, hopefully 10+ years.

The residual is a fixed percentage of MSRP. It doesn't go down, just because the price is lower. Considering the $700 acquisition fee, leasing to own is not going to be cost effective, in most cases.

If you want to own the car for 10 years, then buy it.

To be honest, I don't know. I did it all over email and just pitted dealer against dealer to see who could give me the best monthly payment with the least out the door $. I used a lease broker's advertised "special" price as a starting point and went from there. Feels like a pretty good deal, though.

No, $1635 is an OK amount for up front costs; just better to know how it breaks down.

We don't follow CPO rates. Too many variables.

Used leases are rarely cost-effective compared to new models.

Sticker price is $51,600 and selling price is $51,600 additional fees are 800.00 with dealer giving 2,000 lease cash and me putting 2,499 down.
