2016 Volkswagen Tiguan Lease Questions

So I ended up signing a lease yesterday for a SEL FWD. 0.00005 / 52% / 36/12 Sale price $31,388. Monthly payment is just shy of $400 incl. tax. I assume that's a pretty good deal based on other sale prices i've seen and quotes i've gotten (SoCal). Just wanted to say thanks for all the help!

Hi can you please evaluate the following lease deal just put a deposit on a 2016 Tiguan SE 4motion MSRP $34770 sale price of $30744, residual $18776, money factor .00005. Lease price $339 which includes all services on vehicle (supposedly VW stopped free maintenance). Lease term is 36 months/12000miles. Out of pocket money $1779 which includes $854 tax on payments state of NJ,bank fee, 1st months payment. The only other fee is the 3 year registration for DMV. They are also taking back my existing Tiguan with 2 payments left. Thank You!

I get $336/mo with those numbers.

There is $2500 lease cash, so you're only getting about $1500 discount from sticker. I think there is room for more of a discount.

I get $335/mo. with that number, so close enough..

There is $2500 lease cash on this model, so the effective discount from MSRP is $1500, which is pretty good for a VW.

No dealer fees or other garbage is a good thing. Looks like a solid deal.

S trim level has the best residual - 57% for 36/12, but only $1750 lease cash.

$301/mo for a car that stickers at almost $30K is a pretty good deal. Don't worry about the numbers and go enjoy your new VW.

Thank you for your reply. Have never leased a car before and was concerned that I was wildly overpaying. The MSRP is listed as 31,860.

Hi just wanted to thank you for all the help! With all your info I figured a lease payment of $312 and change for a 2016 Tiguan SE 4Motion 3year/36000 miles. I went to the dealer and walked out with $312 a month and all maintenance for 3 years and $1712 out of pocket for all fees & 1st payment. Quotes had started out at $359 a month, but with your help saved quite a bit of money. Thanks again!

In case anyone is up in the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area and shopping, it looks like a couple of dealers up this way are offering $4000+ off the MSRP of a Tiguan SE 4Motion before applying incentives - I see one advertising $4250. Assuming that holds on a lease as well, you'd be looking at $4250 + $1000 memorial day savings + $2500 lease cash.

As an example on a 36 month/10k mile a year lease with only first month due at signing...

MSRP $34,630
Sale Price ($4250 dealer discount) - $30,380
Less Incentives ($1000 memorial day + $2500 lease cash) - $26,880

Capitalized Cost (including $595 Acquisition Fee, 150 Doc Fee, 175 for tags): $27,800

Money Factor: .00005
Residual: 55% ($19,046.50)

Base Payment: $245.48 + tax

Again, this assumes that the $4250 dealer discount they are advertising applies to leases...

Last February, there were dealers in the Baltimore/DC area that were advertising $6K off MSRP on GTIs. So, I started an email conversation with one of them about leasing. Monthly prices came back about $100/mo. over what they should have been.. Sadly, that is more typical than not.

I was quoted $381 for a 36 month /12k after $2,000 down on a 2016 Tiguan SE in SoCal. I told them they were way too high but they wouldn't budge so I walked. They took back the paper that had the sale price for the car but obviously it was close to sticker. Isn't there lease cash plus $1,000 Memorial Day incentive money?
According to the calculator at Lease Hacker, I should be looking at $300 a month or a bit less, for zero down except taxes/fees right?
