I thought the adjusted capitalized cost was the difference between the price and the residual ?

This is still MSRP of $34,488, right?

.00030 MF and 54% residual.

I don't think the tax number is correct. That looks like tax on a purchase, and Ohio taxes the sum of the payments on a lease. Tax should be about $1000 less than that.

Also, the 42 month base MF is only .00030. The 36 month MF is .00075, so that's either a typo, or it's marked up.

With your numbers, I get $385/mo. so that tells me the tax and adjusted CAP are probably wrong.

If the money factor is marked up, that is adding about $23/mo. to your payment.

Hi, I got the following lease offer today on a 2016 Subaru 2.5i Limited and was wondering if it is a good deal. It seems a little high to me, but I haven't leased a Subaru before. I live in upstate NY so the tax rate is 7%.

MSRP: 30461
Adjusted cap cost: 29750.18
Total cap reduction: 1000
Tax: 931.13
Cap adds: 595
Sale price: 27224.05
Money factor: .00055
Residual: 57%
36 months/15k miles per year

0 down (everything rolled in)

You probably better off leasing a 2017. Just to give you idea, here is an offer for a base Premium 2017, but it's less than for the same 2016.

How do you get from $27224 selling price to $29750 adjusted CAP. I don't see the $2500 extra, unless your $1035 from the prior lease is part of that?
