    A couple of thoughts:

    1. MF is marked up - base rate this month is .00097. Politely respond by telling the dealer you won't sign a deal where the MF is inflated.
    2. Sales tax amount is meaningless - WA taxes the monthly payment

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and how they get there from the dealer price.

Limit the out of pocket costs to just the first payment and any non-taxable government fees (DMV, etc.). Roll everything else into the lease payment.

For Audi, a good target price is 6% off MSRP - which you've attained. Might try to push for more.

    36/15 residual is 55%.

Thanks kyfdx ... pulled the trigger on the 3.0T PP in Sepang Blue and love the car and the way it drives. Interestingly, I felt I could have gotten another $1700 off but hindsight is 20/20 as they say.  Btw, if I were to refinance the car (getting a better rate from the bank), would Audi be able to reverse any lease incentives that I got for financing it thru Audi Finance ? They mentioned I could do it in 6 months - is it true that I have to wait 6 months or can I refinance it sooner ?

    thanks

Btw... Program A1611-200M [$1000 bonus cash, $1000 national bonus, Complimentary first payment] should still be applicable, right? I don't see it mentioned on the quote.

    .00097 and 55%

With your MSRP and balance, I get $531/mo before tax.

Yep, your quote looks too high.

Dealer can markup the MF for extra profit.

Also, ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is - if higher than the $41,604, find out what's been added.

It's pretty easy to see if they can take away incentives.. Just wait a month and call Audi Finance for the payoff.

What rate did you get, and for how many months?

That's good advice kyfdx. We had discussed a 60 month term, but when I look at the paperwork now, I see that they have put it down to 66 payments of $750.60 each. The rate of interest is 3.9% but our bankers are offering us 1.7% (less than half).

There was a discount of $1k + 1st installment paid upto $700 which the dealership sai, 'May get revoked, it does not always happen, but 'IF' they notice, it could be revoked." Typically there is a process that dictates Yay or Nay, the 'IF' is making me doubt if they would even after a month.

amount finance : $44465 (incl discounts, rebates, taxes of $3233.28 and down payment of $5k).

    Thanks

I don't have any specifics on Audi, but in general, the loan has to be in force for 90 days, for the dealership to get any of their incentives from the manufacturer.

I'd wait that long, just to make sure I didn't lose any incentives.

Interested in the residual value and money factor for a 2017 Premium Plus 2.0 Q5 in NYC for 36M / 10k miles. I live in NYC but may buy the car in NJ, not sure if that matters or not. Also please confirm this is eligible for the current $1,250 lease cash incentive?

Great thanks, I was offered a 2.0 Premium Plus + Tech Package for $43,302 w/ MF of .00097 and 58% as you stated --> $494 / month with nothing down and taxes / fees paid upfront. $570 if I include taxes and fees into the payment. If I lower to 7500 miles (which I think I actually can given planned driving habits) it would drop price to $481 / month

Seems like a pretty good deal to me, can you confirm?

    I get the same payment - $494/mo.

We suggest your roll all taxes and fees (except DMV) into the payment. You think Mr. Cuomo will refund you your pre-paid sales tax if the car gets totaled on the BQE?

    Is this a good deal?

I'm in NJ - new to leasing.

    2017 Audi q5 premium 2.0 - base model

    MSRP $43,250
    Cap cost; $40784
    MF:117
    RES:54

Is the MF a little high??

I get $490/mo as well with those prices.

Our suggestion is to roll the taxes and fees (except DMV) into the payment.

I am trying to lease Q5 vehicle(Chicago, IL) and received Q5 quote with an Acquisition Fee of $795 and a Documentation Fee of $172. Are those negotiable or pretty much fixed by Audi HQ? Also, would you recommend waiting for a couple of month when 2018 Q5 comes out on the market or has the model change been fully integrated as discounts(i.e. Rebate of $1,250).

$795 is the AFS acquisition fee. It's fixed.

The $172 doc fee is a dealer thing. Probably easier to negotiate an extra $200 off the selling price than worrying about that fee.

No clue on 2018 model effect on 2017 rates.

I realized that the Premium 2.0T Q5's priced at $45,110 come with the "navigation & convenience" package which would suit my needs and come in cheaper than a 2.0T premium plus + technology package. The dealer I am negotiating with said the $1250 lease cash doesn't apply to that configuration though resulting in basically the same monthly payment ($551) as a premium plus + technology package ($558)

Does this seem right? Both options would be 7.5k miles with nothing down and taxes / fees all rolled in

The $1250 does apply. Premium and premium plus have the same numbers.

If you recently sold or traded in a BMW for a Mercedes, Jaguar, Volvo, Audi or Cadillac vehicle, a reporter would be interested in speaking with you about your experience. Please send a note to PR@Edmunds.com no later than 5 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. Thanks!

Hey Michaell, am interested in residual, MF, and possible incentives/rebates for 2017 Q5 2.0T Premium in the bay area california. Found some #s on previous threads, if you can confirm these are right and help me fill in the gaps I would appreciate it. Also, how does the MF change w/ a single lease payment?

    36mo/10k: 0.00097 58%
    36mo/12k: 0.00097 57%
    36mo/15k: 0.00097 55%

    42mo/10k: 0.00117 54%
    42mo/12k: ?

For incentives, as a current Q5 owner - it appears I qualify for a Takata Airbag recall rebate of $2k (is this correct?). Not sure if I can stack this with any customer loyalty rebates ($?) and/or the $1250 bonus cash you mentioned?

    Thanks in advance!

    42/12 residual is 53%

I would think that the Takata rebate would stack with the others, if applicable, but check with your dealer.
