Was looking at a 17 Infiniti Q50 3t premium awd with driver assist, technology, premium plus, leather and sport tire package. The msrp is $52920. Any idea what target monthly payment including tax I should be targeting at. Seller is giving $4700 discount off msrp.
Also, what is the going MF and RV for MA.

What lease term and how many miles per year?

Sorry missed. I am looking at 10k miles for 36 months? What would be the most optimum lease terms. I am flexing to go down to 7.5/36 as well.

Hello. I'm in the market for a new car and I'm considering leasing this time which would be a first for me. Have been reading on this and other forums. One car I'm looking at is a Q50 Red sport 400 here in Austin, TX. I haven't been to the dealer or driven the car, yet. That's tomorrow. I spoke with a salesman and he emailed me the following info on a $0 down 39 month lease:

MSRP: $57,720
Invoice: $54,337
Sale price: $53,294
Capitalized taxes: $3330.88
Govt. fee: $190.25
Doc fee: $150
Acq fee: $700
Gross/net capitalized cost: $57,665.13
MF: 0.00075
Residual: $33,478
Payment: $688.54

I asked for both 10k and 12k miles. The sheet shows payment range of $689 - $699 for 10k and $703 - $713 for 12k.

Would like some feedback whether these numbers are good or if I can do better. Is MF city/state specific or is that just price? Infiniti national shows a $429 lease (assumes MSRP of $50k and $4k down or something like that). Less than $500 definitely appeals to me but this is almost $700 a month!

I'd like at least a 300 hp car coming from an older Maxima. Maybe I should look at the 3.0 but that's another post. Thanks!

Assuming RWD, the 39/12 numbers are .00026 and 57%. Using your MSRP and gross cap cost, I get $659/mo.

The MF is marked up on you; I get $703/mo with the inflated MF you provided.

What's killing you are the taxes - TX assess sales tax on the selling price, even for a lease. That alone is adding about $85/mo to the payment.

MF and residual are national. And, for that ad, the $4k down knocks over $100/mo on the payment, before taxes.

I guess I need to work out how low off MSRP I can get the sale price to be. The salesperson said December and March is the best time to buy/lease because of fiscal year end for Infiniti.

Some brands have region specific information (Audi, for example). And, knowing the state also tells us how the lease is taxed.

Use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools. Your goal is to beat the TMV price for your zip code.

Hi - could you share the current MF and residuals for 24/10, 36/10, and 39/10 leases in Los Angeles for 3.0t Premium RWD, 3.0t Sport RWD, 3.0t Signature Edition, and 3.0t Red Sport? A few of these have been addressed recently, but not sure if they vary by region. Thanks!

Infiniti numbers are national.

3.0T Premium RWD - .00006 and 59% / 51% / 51%
3.0T Sport RWD - .00003 and 60% / 54% / 52%

I suspect Infiniti was tired of taking a bath on lease returns that were worth far less than the contracted residual, so they adjusted them to be more in line with the market value at the end of the lease.

Infiniti sets their numbers to achieve a particular target payment.

Depends on what make you are leasing. It's possible they'll just roll that into the next lease.

I'm purchasing a CPO Q40 AWD from Pepé Infiniti in White Plains, NY (right off I-287). They are a high volume dealer and have lots of inventory. It might be worth a call or an email for a killer deal.

Even at $455/mo, it looks like a pretty good deal.

NY calculates sales tax against the sum of the payments, and collects that money up front. The dealer is adding that amount back into the cap cost (which is our recommendation).

In the lease calculator, put in the tax rate as normal and take the monthly tax amount and multiply by the lease term ($1419.50). Then, add that amount to the cap cost and recalculate the payment.

$454.97 payment *.08 tax = $36.40 tax * 39 payments = $1419.50 total tax. That matches what they have for Capitalized Taxes.

You said add it in and recalculate, Selling price was 37276 + 1419.50 tax = $38695. I plugged this # in the lease calculator above as Vehicle Sales Price, or Capitalized Cost

Looks good. Kind of a pain to calculate, but it makes sense to add the taxes to the monthly payment rather than paying it up front. If the car is stolen or totaled, you won't get a refund of the pre-paid taxes.

Capitalized taxes means they pay the state, but put that amount into your CAP cost and it's financed into the lease payment. When using the calculator, just add that amount in (it should already be in that Gross CAP number), and leave the sales tax portion of the calculator blank.

I get $457/mo with those numbers. Confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer - if higher than the sales price, find out what's been added.

We suggest only paying the firm payment and tag fee at signing; roll everything else into the lease payment. You won't get your unused taxes and fees refunded to you if the car is stolen or totaled. And, the MF is so low the interest on those charges is pretty miniscule..
