My girlfriend is looking to lease a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4X4 in Downingtown, PA 19335 zip. We are new to leasing a vehicle and I have spent I significant amount of time learning leasing jargon, understanding what's a good lease or bad lease, and generally trying to find her a the best car for the least amount of money. I would like to commend Michaell and Kyfdx on this message board for all of their timely responses to everyone's questions about their leases. Reading through the pages on this message board post has been an education in itself. Now onward to the details about the lease.
MSRP: $41,090 Selling Prices: $39,781
Trade Allowance: $1800 (2006 Ford Escape 4x4 Limited, 120,500 miles. I think we could get more selling the vehicle ourselves) Cash Down: $3000 Rebates $5250
Residual $21366.80 (52%)
Lease is 39 months/15,000 miles a year = payment of $351.96. If she leases this vehicle for 39 months/12,000 miles how will that affect the residual value, payments, money factor?
I am not sure what money factor they are using to come up with this price. Based on my calculations the money factor is around .00207 which seems high to me based on previous posts I read. Do you see any read flags with these numbers? I think she may be putting too much money down ($4800) in total value. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A few thoughts and comments:
1. Sell the Escape yourself - check the "Real World Trade in Values" thread to get a good private party price 2. The amount of rebates makes me think this is a 3rd party bank (US Bank or Ally) - we don't have their lease number to confirm 3. We suggest you limit the up front costs to just the first payment and DMV costs - anything beyond that would be at risk if the car is stolen or totaled.
MSRP: $45,635 36-month lease Miles: 15,000 Cash Down: $2,000 I currently lease a BMW (understand that that means $1,000 lease conquest benefit).
They offered me a payment of $467 or $505, including tax.
If I assume a Residual 52% and a MF of 0.00005; I get an approx. cap cost of ~$40,500
I'm trying to work them down to $435 or$470, including tax; is this a reasonable expectation?
I agree with the MF and residual.
Ask the dealer what cap cost they are using to get those numbers; they could be marking up the MF for more profit.
They could by juicing the MF, either way it's a similar outcome to me. Let's assume that they are using the right MF, does the $40,500 sound like a good deal?

Hey! First time leasing a Jeep and have leased before but without knowing about MF, rates, etc!
I'm pretty new to this MF and Residual rates, etc. Usually I just go around and tell dealers to beat other prices until I'm happy with the price. I'm looking at a Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 with Luxury II package - MSRP $46,140 for 36 months and 15k/yr - live on Long Island, NY.
This is the best pricing I'm getting with a $1,000 incentive - since I lease another BMW:
$3,500 down inc taxes, fees, 1st month $430/mo.
I want to get to $3,000 down and $370/mo. I've been trying to do the whole lease equation but still getting bummed - not ending up with numbers that look right. Is that possible with the MF and residual rates?

Also, what does the $2500 cover?
Msrp I believe was around 49-51k. More closer to 51 if I recall. $2500 covered the taxes titles fees and first month payment.
Hello: I am in NJ and received an offer to lease a 2017 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4: 36mo/10k for $329/month with $2700 due at signing (covered dealership fee, taxes, MV fee, 1st month and title). MSRP is $41,750. I asked for their best offer without getting into MF and residual value. I was told that I was eligible for $6000 in rebates (assuming that makes the sale price $35,750 but need to confirm. Is this offer fair from a MF/Residual perspective?

If you are eligible for $6000 in rebates, the selling price should be lower than that, or you are effectively paying MSRP.

Ask for the sale price, the adjusted CAP cost, money factor and residual. Also, ask for a quote with just first payment and DMV fees due at signing.
Good morning, can I please have numbers for a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 in Illinois 36/10,000 and 36/12,000?
Thanks for that. Dealer is quoting me $545 per month all in with no money down. Does that seem right? Below are the numbers they provided me with.
The sale price of the jeep is $35,771 with rebate Adjusted cap cost is $41,623 Money Factor is 0.00150 Residual is 55
What is the MSRP?
Our numbers come from Chrysler Financial; confirm with your dealer what bank they are using to source the lease. Third party banks often have large incentives attached to them.

Could you tell me what monthly payment you get and if this is a good deal in Texas (tax rate is 6.25%)? The dealership is offering to do this for $520 a month, which includes gap, fees, and tax. This is my first time leasing so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
