Hi, I am in a market to lease a 2017 GLE 350 and this is the lowest I've been quoted so far, please let me know if it's a good deal or not... I appreciate your help in advance.

Background - It's a demo/loaner car never been titled but with 6000 miles on it.

If the demo qualifies for new car rates, then the money factor has been marked up.
The acquisition fee has been marked up from the $795 base amount.
Not sure about the selling price, but $8000 might not be enough of a discount for a demo.

All that said, $2000 due at signing and $641/mo. isn't a bad payment for a $60K MSRP vehicle.
But, you might be able to do better.

Hello, could you please post the MF and Residual on a 2017 GLE RWD for Texas, 36M/10K miles. MSRP $59,150, offered at $56,513, Dealer won't put in an email, MF or residual until deal is actually worked so I cant shop it? I was expecting 10% off the MSRP since the 2018 are around the corner, are my expectation out of line for the Dallas Market?

Also if I go into a purchase instead what is the base interest rate for 72M? MB is listing 4.99 for 72M

If you look at the post above yours, you'll see that they are being offered 13% off sticker. Might pay to check other MB dealers in the Metroplex.

As is, your prices result in a payment of $699/mo, before taxes and fees - and, Texas taxes the entire selling price, making leasing much more expensive.

No information on purchase interest rates; again, check with multiple dealers to see if the 4.99% is consistent

Hi Michaell;

So I ended up leasing an executive demo with 5K miles on it, please check it out and let me know if I did good or terrible since this is my first lease, it was quiet treacherous working with the finance guy, he would not negotiate the inflated the acquisition fee, or know down the MF with Autopay to lower the MF by 0.00010. I wonder if I can get that setup with MBFS later on or not? I have attached the lease deal.

So, the only "money" out of pocket is your $3460 of trade equity, right?
Looks like you got a big discount and $3000 of rebates. I'd say it's a pretty good deal. Also, tax credits too, looking at that low sales tax number?

Doubt you can do anything about autopay, now. But, it won't hurt to ask them, once you start getting payment notices.

Thanks for reviewing the deal! Yeah, the only cash down is the $3460. The low tax is due to the trade allowance of $33K in Texas we pay tax on the delta only. So For a demo, this is pretty good vs.a 0 miles one?

What would be the residual value and money factor for leasing either, 36m/10K in May? I am leasing to buy as well, just want to reduced payments for next 3 years and then buy-out.

My target is 14% to 15% off MSRP from reading recent posts (and 2018's are around the corner), plus an additional $3K discount for the pre-owned? Any thoughts?

From leasehackr appears using auto-pay plus 6 MSD, the effective interest rate is nearly zero, is that really possible?

.00047 MF and 56% residual for either.
The demo will have the residual adjusted downward to account for the current mileage.
Whether you can use a reduced MSD rate with this lease program is up for debate. It seems to depend on the dealer.

Hi goboating,

The numbers from leasehackr.com don't quiet add up, I plugged in all the number from my deal and I got $391/M with $6,594 driver out. I ended up with a $610, and $6K driver out! If someone from the experienced advisors can try out that calculator and give us their opinion it would be great! I got sucked into the lease because that darn calculator was showing a crazy payment before MSD! Rebate wise, I used Fleet + special perks.

We don't use on-line calculators - there is the possibility of assumptions being made that are hidden from the users.

We suggest you build your own calculator, using the instructions here:

I just came from dealer, did not try to close a deal, but rather validate lease numbers. For the GLE 350 4Matic, 36/10K, the MF of .0047 and RV of 56% was same at dealer (thanks to board for providing!).

Dealer will apply .001 autopay, and .0007 per security deposit. My calculations show using 5 security deposits results a nice savings with 14% annual return on security deposits.

I am shooting for $13K (19.5%) discount on the demo car with 5K miles - I think that would a good deal.

Michaell - thanks for link to building my own lease calculator, very helpful.

Any other advise is welcome to get a good deal on demo with 5K and $66,500 MSRP.

Great info!! Does any one know if you pay taxes for MSD (Multiple Security Deposits) in Florida?

Also, I think autopay is 0.0001 and that each MSD gives you 0.00007 (maximum 10). Please confirm

No taxes on MSD monies.

@goboating - MBFS may impose a minimum MF, so 5 MSDs may not be possible.

Dealers are free to charge whatever they want for dealer/document fees in Florida. They seem especially onerous, there.

We've seen $399, all the way up to $999.
Always ask for the fee, before negotiating price. That way, you can incorporate it into your offer.

.00055 is the base MF for the GLE350 RWD.

"Add the adjusted capitalized cost and the residual value then Take the sum and multiply it by money factor. This is your monthly rent charge:

From the work sheet: ($53,818.32 + $36,895.60) * MF .00055 = $49.8923 (Rent Charge) * 36/Month = $1796.1237. However the dealer work sheet shows $5062.12 in rent charge? Did I miss something, or did I get scammed in the paper work?

To get the payment on your sheet, the MF is set to .00155. Inflated for extra profit.

That assumes the MSRP is $65,885.

Wow, he showed me the worksheet with 0.00055, and used 0.00155 to figure out the rate! Will have to go back to him and see what can be done. Thanks for the prompt response Michaell.

If you've signed the documents and taken delivery, there may not much that can be done.

But, in the interest of customer service, I suppose anything is possible.
