And, we suggest you target 7% off sticker.

Utah. $1,500 lease rebaate also applies. Dealer is coming up with payment that doesn't fit the sales price and won't discuss how they are arriving at the number. Seems like they are trying to hide something.

Yes, $700+ a month is a crazy high payment quote, and if they won't explain how they got there, they don't deserve your business.

Assuming a tax rate of about 9%, they seem to be using the base money factor, though knowing the adjusted CAP cost would help.
I added $925 for acq.fee, $500 for DMV/Doc fee and $200 tax on CAP cost reduction in my assumptions.

I certainly wouldn't put more than $1500 upfront.

The tax number is irrelevant. CA taxes the monthly payment.
The rest of the fees are correct, but as you noted, no mention of the $925 acquisition fee

I have been trying to negotiate the 240i xDrive with multiple dealerships over the past week. Best deal I have gotten so far is $602/month on a car with a $55k MSRP. That included leaving 7 MSD's and about $2200 at signing ($1000 down and rest covers fees). Unfortunately, BMW just has no intention in supporting leases on these cars. I think I am going to look for a certified pre-owned to purchase at this point.

I think BMW is wanting to focus on the volume models (3- and 5-series). Not as much support, or love, on the 2-series.

That's just a guess on my part, however.

We always suggest 7% off for BMW - you are welcome to ask for more, but we don't track pricing, so don't know how much extra room there may be.
