Please see attached - lease offer. I do not understand where they arrived at the tax amount. They tax on rebate but why on full amount of car according to dealer if not paying full amount Please review and let me know your thoughts on this breakdown.

What state is this? Some states tax the entire selling price, even on a lease.

They tax the sum of the payments, plus rebates, plus acquisition fee, plus any CAP reduction that you make.
So..
$260 X 36
$645
$5500
Total: approx $15,500 taxable.

If they taxed the full price, the tax would be over $2000, right?
The tax amount looks about right. (I'll guess that it's exactly right)

Thanks. Makes sense. I was trying to reconcile the 1235.10 in the capitalized cost column. I figured that was on the amount being financed which was too high. That includes 9360 and the 5500 which the sales manager couldn't explain clearly.

We don't know where those numbers come from.
But, incentives are highly regional. Check the Ford website, and see what they give you for your zip.
