    88 was also the last year of the Maxima wagon.

    The RWD style was until MY 1984, not sure what year the dual Datsun/Nissan 810/Maxima badging stopped, maybe a year or two before.

    No, no, that's what I want--an automatic diesel Peugeot is the *perfect* combo for that car. Damn thing is in Texas, though---otherwise I would bid on it right now. Thanks for the heads-up everyone, at any rate.

    These were great cars--incredibly sturdy, and oh, so comfy. The diesel is a bit noisy but once you get up to highway speed, it starts to purr, and that Peugeot suspension just gently bounces you up and down a little. You just get so mellow out there, let everyone pass you, wave them by, smile, snuggling into that poofy seat.

    Nice change of pace.

    Of course, if you think it's hard to find a mechanic to work on your Saab---hah, try a Peugeot.

    That red thing is by Zagato I think judging by the logos on the hub caps.

    I have found it in a book and it is a one off I think - I will leave the name for now in case anyone else can find it without cheating like I did...

    Yes, the Italian half of the partnership was Zagato. I just noticed the "NACA" ducts in the wheels - that's a first.

    Yes, that's right when it came over here. I was thinking of previously, when it debuted in Japan. I think it was on the Japanese Supra platform then (1980s?).

    Chrysler Aspen. I've seen a few, maybe literally. Expensive Durango planned during the Bush era housing bubble, and hit the market right as it was about to pop. Only 2 or 3 model years for that one. I think there was also a hybrid.

    Correct on both counts and down the block on left what looks like the nose of a '55 Chevy. This photo gives a good idea of how quickly styling evolved in the 1950s

    That sure is an odd color combo on that 59 Ford. Looks like another white one across the street and similar vintage Lincoln Continental behind it, with a Mercury wagon across the street.

    I don't think Ford offered 3-tone combinations of any sort from the factory in '59. That looks like a blue-and-white "Style-Tone" 2-tone that someone at the dealer decided to jazz up with a "Geranium" (coral red) roof.

    Ah, a 1959.5 Galaxie with the Thunderbird roof.
    I think the dealership added the red and dark blue to match the colors of the Ford logo on the sign as a sales promotion.
    The white and Wedgewood Blue colors were original on that car.

    Wow, you guys know your '59 Fords. The 3-tones are not likely a factory offering perhaps it was done by the dealer to match the Ford emblem colors
