    Thanks...they are starting to finally show up around my location. Buyers need to check window stickers as some SEL+ have a "discount" for Tech while others list as $0. Difference is $600 for same vehicle.

    afternoon, i am looking for the MF and Residual value for a 2018 Hyundai Sonata SEL, Sport 2.4 and Limited 2.4 in 08753. 36/10 and 36/12, any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks again!

    36/12; add 1% for 10K

    .00114 and 53% (Ltd), 54% (SEL) or 55% (Sport)
    $3250 lease cash on Limited
    $2000 lease cash for SEL or Sport
    thank you very much. Can you tell me how the lease cash works. I'm working with (3) dealerships that are quoting either $3250 less than the MSRP or $2000 less than the MSRP and said that's the best they can do. So basically there not negoitating the sales price of the car, rather just saying that the lease cash offer is the only thing that can reduce the sales price.
    what a joke!
    Considering how poor Sonata sales are, those dealers should be begging you to come in. here is a reasonable amount to expect off msrp BEFORE incentives:
    SE 7-8% off msrp
    SEL 8-9 % off msrp
    higher trims 8-12% off msrp

    ended up having (2) offers from (2) dealers and had them get me the best price on a 2018 Sonata sport 2.4 Plus. $257.78 a month for 36 Months/10k miles per year.$377.78 down at signing (covers first month and MV Fees) Negotiated Selling Price of the Vehicle was $22,499. Not sure how i got it down so much considering it was a Plus and they just recieved delivery of it friday morning. Thanks to everyone for all your help.

    .00083 and 55% (SEL/SEL+) or 56% (Sport/Sport+)

    The difference is in the incentives:

    $1750 - SEL+
    $1500 - Sport+
    $2000 - SEL/Sport

    Does anyone have any ideas of how to accurately check inventory? I know most dealers have far more inventory than they put on their site and going through the Hyundai site is useless. According to Hyundai webpage inventory, no one within 50 miles of me, which covers at least 30 dealerships, has a Limited 2.0T. I have seen a few on dealer lots but they don't show up on the dealers’ online inventory. I am looking for a Limited 2.0T PLUS, so if no one actually has one, I am wasting my time trying to get quotes for the end of the month.

    Thanks!

    P.S. Moderators, if this question is too off topic, please delete and accept my apologies.

    Just send an internet request or call local dealers. You should find one who will say, "If we agree on price, I can get you anything I want." I've had dealers tell me they can't quote on a vehicle that's with the same dealership but at a different location (guess they really don't want my business that much!) but I did find an internet rep at another dealership who said he could get me exactly what I wanted if we agreed on price. Now, maybe he was blowing smoke, but he seemed like he was honest and understood that if he was BS'ing there was no way he would get my business.

    PS..Most dealership sites are updated by third parties and thus are often not up-to-date.

    I am looking to lease a Sonata Limited 2.0T+ if I can find one. Would you please check my calculations in case I get lucky and find a car? I'm using the invoice price as the cap cost [selling cost] since it seems people use that as a starting point. The MF and RV come from the kind folks here.

    Sonata Limited 2.0T+
    MSRP - $32,785
    Invoice - $31,366
    RV [36/10] 56% = $18,360
    MF .00083
    Rebate - $2750
    Acq Cost - $650
    Zip - 10522

    Assuming I only pay DMV fees and first month, up front, it looks like my remaining 35 payments would be $342/mo with tax rolled in to the payment. I got this using the Edmunds Auto Lease calculator. Would this be a good deal and are my calculations correct? Should I try to get below invoice?

    Thanks!

    I have a friend who wants to piggy back on my lease shopping and wants an SEL or SEL+. Can I please get the MF/RV/Incentives for 36/10 and 36/12? He will buy in NY, but register in zip 08807. Maybe I can get killer deals if we go in and buy together.

    So I got some numbers to start with I suppose. We are new to leasing, so this is all a learning experience for my husband and I.

    We are looking at LEASING a 2018 Sonata Limited 2.0T in North Texas.

    From dealer 1:
    Retail Price: $33,655;
    -Savings $4,100;
    =Sales Price $29,555;
    +Gov Fees $193;
    +Doc Fees $150;
    +Total Taxes $1910.24;
    =Total Sales Price $31,808.24
    =Net Cap Cost $32,458.24

    RV=$18,510.25
    MF= sales guy didn't know

    36mt/12k w/$3250 rebate and $0 down $466-$476/month

    Dealer 2:
    Base MSRP $31,900
    -Factory Installed Options $4,260
    +Freight Delivery Charge $885
    =Total MSRP $28,525
    -Cert Dealer MSRP Discount $1,568
    -2018 Hyundai Sonata Retail Bonus Cash $1750 (I understand this is only for purchase so can I sub in the Lease Cash of $3250 here?)
    =Subtotal $25,207
    +Doc fees $150
    =Total before Tax $25,357

    No lease info from this deal as it's been all over text/email and late in the day.
    Thoughts? Not sure where to go from here other than tell Dealer 1 that Dealer 2 has a much more favorable sales price.

    What is the MF for 75078 for the Limited 2.0T?

    Thanks!

    I think the math is wrong for dealer 2; wouldn't you add the factory options to the base MSRP, not subtract it?

    The three numbers you need from each dealer are:

    1. The full MSRP - bottom line number of the factory window sticker
    2. The negotiated selling price
    3. The adjusted CAP cost - selling price, plus taxes and fees added in, less incentives

    With those numbers, we can calculate the payment.

    Because Texas taxes the full selling price, lease payments are going to be higher.

    So I got some numbers to start with I suppose. We are new to leasing, so this is all a learning experience for my husband and I.

    We are looking at LEASING a 2018 Sonata Limited 2.0T in North Texas.

    From dealer 1:
    Retail Price: $33,655;
    -Savings $4,100;
    =Sales Price $29,555;
    +Gov Fees $193;
    +Doc Fees $150;
    +Total Taxes $1910.24;
    =Total Sales Price $31,808.24
    =Net Cap Cost $32,458.24

    RV=$18,510.25
    MF= sales guy didn't know

    36mt/12k w/$3250 rebate and $0 down $466-$476/month

    Dealer 2:
    Base MSRP $31,900
    -Factory Installed Options $4,260
    +Freight Delivery Charge $885
    =Total MSRP $28,525
    -Cert Dealer MSRP Discount $1,568
    -2018 Hyundai Sonata Retail Bonus Cash $1750 (I understand this is only for purchase so can I sub in the Lease Cash of $3250 here?)
    =Subtotal $25,207
    +Doc fees $150
    =Total before Tax $25,357

    No lease info from this deal as it's been all over text/email and late in the day.
    Thoughts? Not sure where to go from here other than tell Dealer 1 that Dealer 2 has a much more favorable sales price.

    What is the MF for 75078 for the Limited 2.0T?

    Thanks!

    .00202 and 52%
    $3750 lease cash

    I think the math is wrong for dealer 2; wouldn't you add the factory options to the base MSRP, not subtract it?

    The three numbers you need from each dealer are:

    1. The full MSRP - bottom line number of the factory window sticker
    2. The negotiated selling price
    3. The adjusted CAP cost - selling price, plus taxes and fees added in, less incentives

    With those numbers, we can calculate the payment.

    Because Texas taxes the full selling price, lease payments are going to be higher.
    I agree about the math on Dealer 2, but I have it in writing, so I'll try to use it to my advantage. all they can do is say "no" :)

    10k miles or 12k miles?
    confirm MF with edmunds dudes?
    driveoff amount? [remember that no money down does not mean zero driveoff]
    the difference between cap cost (29895) and price (27148) consists of what?
    overall, still seems high to me but that may be premature

    12k miles, MF actually less than what Edmunds guys told me. difference in Cap cost and price is Tax, Title, License and "fees". Driveoff would be first month's payment.

    do you have the breakdown of the 2747 diff between the two? Just want to make sure they are not adding in something unnecessary:
    tax rate is 6.25% or 1697
    acq fee is 650
    title and license are set by the state - estimate?
    only other fee is doc fee and that is negotiable, probably 150?

    getting closer...

    you are pretty close. I believe the acq fee is actually $885 but need to confirm. The taxes are correct. Doc fee at original dealer was $150, but haven't confirmed with this dealer. Tax and Title should be around $88 I believe. have asked for a breakdown of all fees, waiting to hear back now

    Not sure if you are trying to do this today (end-of-quarter). There is only about $10/month slop in your deal. So, 392 is ok but 382 is a winner. Also, i assume this is a non-PLUS model so min 10% off msrp before incentives is doable. Good luck

    It is a non-plus model but both dealerships have told me that nothing changed on the Limited 2.0T. That all of the "plus" features were added to the lower level models to boost them up. and from what I read on the Hyundai release, it didn't mention any additions to the 2.0T model, only the base Limited. Am I missing something?

    i believe they changed the sunroof from "regular" to "panoramic" on the plus. Pano roofs have been a noise nightmare, but people still love it.

    MSRP was reduced a bit BUT you are getting that in higher lease cash (3250 vs 2750)

    You probably won't get 10% off msrp on a newly arrived PLUS model.

    Remember that this is their top-of-line trim and they are not as abundant as the lower trims. You probably don't have much color choice either.

    May I please know the current Hyundai Motor Finance money factor and residual for a 36 month lease of a new 2018 Sonata Hybrid Limited (w/Ultimate Package, if that matters) in the New England region (zip code 02459.) I'm afraid I don't know the manufacturer model no. I drive less than 10,000 miles per year. Thanks!

    Not sure where @michaell got his numbers, but the actual numbers are: ;)
    .00114 MF and 55% residual
    $3250 lease cash

    Given your numbers, the payment calculation is correct, but they've marked up the money factor by .00040.
    With the base MF, your payment would drop by about $20/mo.

    Give him a break; he does live in Colorado after all...

    So i need to revise my input to reflect the lower MF (if they come back)

    Your dealerships are wrong, TonyG is right. The Limited 2.0T PLUS version has a panoramic sunroof [I admit, I am one of the people who like it] a sport grill [nice looking] and I think a few smaller things, as well.

    I need some advice here. I thought I had a deal for a new Limited 2.0 Plus last week. The dealer advertised the car on their website with MSRP, less dealership discount, less Hyundai rebate, less all these other discounts for which i know i don't qualify. All numbers were listed like you would show your math in school. The lease price they sent me was way too high. I sent them my calculations based on the selling price in the ad and the numbers I got here [I took out the discounts I didn't qualify for] and they said they didn't see how I got my number. I re-calculated and sent them the numbers again. I have since asked 5 times via email for the cap cost they used and all I get are evasive responses - no number. Doesn't this sound fishy to you like they never intended to sell/lease the car at the price in the ad? A friend of mine said it sounds like fraud and inducement. What do you all think?

    I really don't worry about the legal issues. Are you planning on suing them?

    The discount they offered might have included incentives that aren't compatible with a lease (Hyundai to dealer, not the ones they listed). Taking a purchase quote (and, this is just an ad, not a quote), and assuming it is valid with the lease program often doesn't work out.
