There is a lease program, but it's not an incentivized program.
R Coupe: .00238 MF and 44% residual for 39/10.

So, even with the lousy program, they are still marking up the money factor.

thanks for info. last year they kept up incentives to buy MF down and even RV maintained in 50's! Dealer told me there are so few 2018s left, that Jaguar has no plans to support 2018 anymore. Some people got really good leases a year ago... does not seem there will be a repeat.

Hi guys,

Looking at a 2018 F-type coupe R-dynamic fully loaded that the dealer claims they have heavily discounted to get it off the floor. It's a discontinued Loire Blue color, which I kind of like...except when it looks like purple.

I asked the salesman what the MF and residual value was on the car, and asked for lease terms of 36/39, 12/15k.

He didn't provide the residual, but I figured I could back into that.

Quoted:
MF 0.00243
MSRP $97,863
$1,069/mo+tax
$20k dealer discount
$4,900 down
48 mos/7,500 miles with $0.30 overage charge

My calculations say that's a nasty 5.832% APR with an approximate residual of 49%.

Btw, what's the opinion of buying a lease lower than you want and just paying the overage charges, instead of paying upfront and possibly returning the car not using all the miles?

There is no lease support on the 2018 model. All of the savings comes from the big discount.
That isn't a bad payment for a $98K MSRP vehicle.

Taking less miles than you'll need is a bad plan. You'll look for excuses to not drive the car, that you are paying $1200/mo. for, all in.

10K/yr is 10,000 extra miles over four years, and the cost is only $979 in total. Less than $0.10 per mile.
