Hey sergio000,
With the September numbers, I got the GT FWD w/o PP (Machine Grey/Parchment), for $335/month for 35 months from Classic Mazda in Orlando. There were 2 incentives:
1) $570 lease cash
2) 1st month payment ($335 for me)

If you can afford the Grand Touring, it is a much more pleasant driving experience with the instrument panel, stereo, and seat upgrades. I don't know your budget, but I was happy with my deal. I hope you can get under that. If I can give you any more info, let me know. Good luck.

First time leasing and I'm looking into a Touring AWD in ZIP 14618. So far I've gotten to:

$29,120 MSRP
$26,620 Selling Price
$2,500 Trade-In Value
$595 Acquisition Fee Upfront
36/10k

The dealer is telling me the residual is 58% with a MF of 0.00001 and have me quoted at $220/month. According to the leasehackr calculator, that monthly payment would be closer to a MF of 0.000375. Is there any way to verify the actual MF and does this seem like a good deal?

The number you are missing is the adjusted cap cost, with the taxes and fees added in. Or, is that being paid for out of the $2500 equity? Either way, the adjusted cap cost should answer the questions.

So I'm new to this whole leasing thing..... Frist time walking in to a dealership and this is the price they quoted me.
MSRP: 34,768
Cap Cost: 32,768
Residual: $19,437
Money factor: .00051
Das: $2147.72 I told the man that I don't want to pay for anything upfront except taxes and fees and that's the number he gave me for all that doesn't sound right.
And the monthly payments come out to originally $408.94 I said no deal he said fine we can do $3000 due at signing for $353.36 I still said no deal then he said fine he can do $2147.72 for $353.36 a month.... I still feel like I'm not getting the best price or deal here..... I wanted a breakdown of what exactly am I paying for at in taxes because I feel like 2k is a little high to just be paying for fees and registrations and taxes. Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

A few questions to help us:

What is your ZIP code?
What trim level of CX-5?
FWD or AWD?
What lease term and how many miles per year?

Negotiating the payment only is a sure recipe to get taken - too many places the dealer can inflate things.

Like the MF - the base rate is .00001; .00051 is the max markup allowed by the bank.

In addition, you really only want to pay the first payment and registration costs at signing.

Just keep asking questions until you're satisfied with the answers.

Once again. A tremendous amount of help between Edmunds and LH. I appreciate it very much. Incentives were very low this month. Ended up getting a black cx5 Sport with back up sensors and the ACTIVSENSE. MSRP was 26495. I calculated it at a 10% discount but the guy kept saying it was 3300 off. no visible incentives on the paperwork. 10/36 deal. 57% rv. MF .00001. They also installed apple play and added it into the lease at a discounted amount. He said it would have been $530 if I came back later. 252 with 1500 total due at signing. I realize this is not that great compared to some other leases but I feel like it was good for what I needed for my situation. taxes are included in the payment at 3%. Crazy looking at the lease paperwork and seeing the total finance cost as $16. I must say that it was a very pleasant experience. I didn't qualify for any of the available incentives.

First... it doesn't matter what the sales manager says. You shouldn't care if it is true, or not. You should only care if this is the lowest price you can get.

What you are missing from your Drive Off is the first payment.

Add $595 to the CAP for acquisition fee
I calculate $276.63/mo, which is less than $2/mo. off

There is $720 of lease cash on this vehicle, that I'm assuming is accounted for in the quoted sale price, as I don't see it deducted, anywhere else.

$3435 discount
-$720 incentive
-399 doc fee
= $2316 effective dealer discount.

That is reasonable for this vehicle, IMO.
I don't know if you can do better, but I'd certainly try to offer less, and/or shop other dealers.
