I'm pursuing a 2020 Jetta S automatic in zip code 07924. I want 24/10 and got the following numbers here: MF .00018, RV 60%, $1400 dealer cash. I found one listed for $20,799 (MSRP $21,524)

I reached out to base a lease off a cap cost of $19,400 (list price minus dealer cash), to which the dealer agreed, but then tacked on $2,083 in "Taxes, fees, Motor Vehicle" to the cap cost. That raises the cap cost almost back to MSRP.

Am I getting taken for a bit of a ride or did I miss something? I have the monthly around $305 with no money down, but his offer was $363. Not sure how to approach getting rid of those fees in the cap cost.

I noticed on the Passat lease page that you replied to someone indicating that the August numbers have been extended into Sept and that new numbers will be available Sept.8. Would those numbers to be available on Sept 8 for the VW Passat extend to the Jetta. The numbers for the Jetta have not changed in July or August and when I asked about Sept above you quoted the same numbers quoted in August. I need to make a move soon and want to use the most recent information available.

Yes, all VW programs were extended to 9/8; new programs will be available on 9/9. It may be a day or two before we see them.

Are you aware of the rationale used by the automakers to use incentives that differ by zip code. For example, your reply to the gentlemen in zip code 93003 (Cal) you indicated that the dealer cash amount was $1,900. In my zip code (PA) the dealer car account is $1,400.?
