On the wrangler, I thought the $7,500 was federal EV tax credit. Is there also a lease credit on top of that?
CCAP passing along the tax credit as a rebate. Lessees don't get a tax credit
Thanks. I assume this means that CCAP actually gets the credit? If so, I Wonder how many other banks just pocket that?
Yes.
It all works out in the end. The banks that don't offer a rebate, or partial rebate, tend to offer higher residuals and/or low money factors. Most lease programs are set up to achieve a payment that sells cars.
This is an anomaly that results in a really good lease deal, and possibly a good flip candidate.

So far so good. Knock on wood. I've been monitoring the oil level and it hasn't flinched. I had the injectors replaced by Honda at no charge. The Pilot has been running great as it should. My wife continues to pile miles on it while she works and shuttles my kids back and forth to whatever camps they at during the given week. No problems other than my wife's attraction to curbs.

Well curbs is better than bollards. My wife has hit two now (one in the 17 Enclave and now the XC)

What is it with wives and hitting inanimate objects? Did I mention the Tiguan's side mirror (passenger side) took a good hit with the wall adjacent to our garage door opening backing out of our garage. Popped the cover off and broke some plastic including clips, but it was "fixable" to an acceptable degree including the use of adhesives so the repair cost was simply a bit of time thanks to the guys at Benny's Autobody doing favors for women.

I just received this in my email yesterday. This is from the Ford dealer where I bought my last new F150, 3 years ago. Sounds like where I would want to go to order a Maverick, if I were to do that.
Obviously, point number 3 isn't true, but other than that it sounds fair. Looking at the MSRP vs invoice on the Maverick, the difference is about $400 on the XL model, $445 on the XLT, and $510 on the Lariat.
I watched a YT video yesterday regarding Maverick's. The dealer was only allocated 1 non customer vehicle, so they need people to order them so they can get a bigger number of non customer vehicles.

Sounds quite believable. And for those wondering about the spare tire on the Maverick, I found a little more information.
It seems some models do get the full size spare tire included, while on others you have to pay $115 for it as an option. But there is a compact spare tire included at a minimum on all models.
A Sunset Orange M2C with 3,200 miles on it turned up on my dealer’s lot yesterday. I balked at the price but my wife said “ You’re 64 and working after your retirement. Why shouldn’t you have something nice? We need to enjoy our lives while we have good health and blessings.”
It was a moot point as it sold before noon.
I give up.

The worst one I ever did, many years ago I owned a 3/4 ton Chevy custom van. It had the cargo doors in back, with the spare tire mounted on one of the cargo doors. I backed into a concrete post in a Luby's parking lot. The post was not tall enough to be seen through the rear windows, and it was too close to be seen in the outside rear view mirrors. It was a low speed impact on the spare tire, which crunched in that cargo door. If I had impacted on the opposite side, it would have hit the bumper and did minimal if any damage. The spare tire was undamaged, the cover was crumpled and the cargo door just gave in.
Lesson learned, if you're driving something like a van pay close attention to what's behind you BEFORE you get in the vehicle and start to back up. The only way I could have seen that concrete post was from outside the van, before I got in.

You know better than I, but I think ordering a new model M240i is gonna be a perfect approach for you, as long as you're okay with the automatic since it sounds as though a manual may be reserved for the M2 only.
You can get exactly what you want as far as colors and options, and it may even feel like more of a change/upgrade from your 2014 than a current M2C.

When wives suggest or don’t balk when their husbands buy a car they’re up to something. As a lot of you regulars know from another Edmunds site at least 10 years ago, that was a dining room suite in our house. It took quite a while for me to outwit her on that. To be honest, in the end it was one of her childhood friends who really rescued me buy telling her the one she had was plenty nice enough but if she insisted on getting another one she’d gladly take the old one. Whew !!!!

Tire icon came on this morning so off to Goodyear I went. Thought it was the right rear tire where I picked up a metal thingy the other day but turns out the left front had a nail on the side of it. Not repairable, naturally, so since I had the road hazard policy, cost me $25 for the new tire plus $25 to get it road hazard protection. So, this year alone, 2 brand new tires due to nails getting in the sidewalls. But glad I've got the road hazard as a new tire would cost me $141 a pop plus the other fees...$25 I can handle! Did take a few hours but luckily, was off today with no real plans except laundry later in the day. These issues are just part of life I guess!

No more leakage in the garage but taking it in Monday morning just the same as something ain't right here, cars don't leak for no reason. Let them give it a look see & if it's nothing, they'll tell us but if not, they'll just fix it. The A3 ain't going anywhere for the foreseeable future so we gotta keep it running properly. And I'm betting they'll find a small leak, just not sure it's the oil due to it's almost pinkish color. The guy will let me know what's what.

My passenger side mirror was destroyed after Hurricane Irma hit in 2017 but really was the wife's fault. She was guiding me as I backed out of our garage but she neglected to tell me the car was crooked! I backed out and hit the passenger door mirror and almost broke it off. Stopped over at VW and a tech came over & tried to fix it but hell, he just made it worse and then ran off when I complained to my S A. I was so pissed off and the dealership basically told me to "f" off!! At that moment, they lost me as a customer to be honest. And I haven't forgotten either. No more VW's for me at this point.

It was broken when you arrived at the dealership…. I don’t get how it is their fault, to be honest
And how can it be your wife’s fault when your hands are on the steering wheel and you have three mirrors. Again, I don’t get it, to be honest
If she wasn't directing me, doubt I would've hit the wall. I relied on the info she was giving me which was my mistake. The mirror wasn't totally broken but was wobbly. After the tech tried to push it back into place, he broke whatever was holding it in and it just fell onto the door. Had to purchase a brand new mirror and have it painted, then installed. If he had been a bit gentler with it, doubt it would've ended it up like it did when he was done. And then he basically ran away once he saw how he really made it worse. Learned a valuable lesson here, don't rely on others to help in certain situations. I did and it cost me...over $700 for a new mirror!

"over $700 for a new mirror" -- this is an outside rear view mirror? They don't cost that much, not where I come from. I replaced the outside rear view mirror on an Oldsmobile about 10 years ago, as I recall it cost me maybe $50 on Rockauto. It did have to be painted, but a can of color matching spray paint was under $10.

I wouldn't fault them for "not being gentle enough." They tried to do you a favor, and this is probably the reason people don't do favors anymore and just say "I won't touch that because it's damaged and weakened." A good example is Audi dealerships won't do a patch n' plug on a tire. An attempt to fix it is better than saying "go buy a new one and come back when you have it."

The aluminum shell for a S4 side mirror is a $500 part. This doesn't include the other parts, pieces, mirror, or wiring. However, a Golf mirror is not an S4 mirror.

Also the dealership tried to do you a favor and push it back into place. It was already broken. You still needed to fix it.
