Lucky guy. Enjoy these days before he’s old enough to drive your Mustang. My youngest grandchild (a girl, the only girl out of 5 grandkids) got her permit a couple months ago. It’s been said that time flies but it flies at the speed of lights when your a grandparent.
Enjoy.

I can’t fault a lender for charging high interest rates to someone who has had 2 repos. If you can’t wake up after the first repo why should they expect anything less?

They installed a TON of speed bumps to try to deter the cruising. The news station gets bonus points for using "Cult of Personality" as the background music.
Yes. I watch his TikTok and sometimes comment. It is a bit risky, IMHO, showing the negotiations and then posting them for sale on his website for all to see the markup. And I have grown weary of some of his schtick such as his ocd about asking if EVERY car still has catylytics and what the original sticker price is, as if the latter means anything for resale.
George is not the original owner, AFAIK. I believe he took it over from his dad, but don’t quote me on that.
I have had both good and bad experiences there. Bought my 350z there way back when. My other visits were busts. I’d say at least 5-6 other visits over the years. I recall a Sentra manual that was way overpriced and they didn’t want to budge, and some kind of SUV for the wife that had too many issues. I know there were others but can’t recall details.
I see George, who's the son of the original Owner (I think) have his Dad in some of the vids. George and his Dad seem OK. HIs Brother (don't know his name) feels a bit sleazy. And, the rest of the folks are a lot sleazy. I guess his customer base seems to be guys who are constantly rolling negative equity into another "high buck" ride, which exacerbates their dilemma because they "HAVE TO HAVE" another overpriced luxury marque. They also own the Mitsubishi Dealership, which is an odd pairing with their big dollar used car business. They don't talk about it, but I have to wonder if a large portion of their business is done with the Middle Eastern countries.
After taking some well deserved time off (and to recover from a nasty winter cold), my stepdaughter broke out the paint cans and brushes yesterday and made a bit more progress. She's now working on the interior doors - the front door, her bedroom door, and one of the hallway closet doors got done.
In addition, we addressed an oversight from the builder. In our house, practically every light is recessed - kitchen, dining/living rooms, hallways. Only the baths and closets have light fixtures. But, our hallway has a bit of a "T" shape to it, where the linen closet is, and there is no light there. We tried the stick on lights inside the closet door, but those never worked as well as we hoped.
So, the wife got on Thumbtack and found an electrician to install a new light fixture and switch for us yesterday. Works exactly as we hoped. They did have to get into the attic to run the wiring from the switch to the fixture, but they were young and nimble, so it wasn't too much of a problem (the attic access is from a panel in the garage, which is a good 20' above the floor).

Speaking of garages with tall ceilings (I think the side of mine without a drop must be at least 18’) I saw a pop up for one of these and got to thinking. Might solve my space issue! Need to get out the tape measure and some painters tape to mark it out, but with high ceilings and the 18’ wide door, could work without getting in the way! https://automotiveequipmentspecialists.com/bendpak-hd-9-9-000-lb-capacity-standard-width-car-lift/?_vsrefdom=adwords&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADesmBQRaol_7fyM1R02ThvHRCrFT&gclid=Cj0KCQiAs5i8BhDmARIsAGE4xHzS1IkCWlCuDtvyoNrBEychtrEewuIyGR0-vgC38ul-LF58nkKM97YaAtMCEALw_wcB

Don't need much with set up, as I'll do that myself. But, unpacking and moving the TV to my downstairs home theater, is something I could use. As far as connecting it, I'd do that myself anyway. Carrying it down steps? Taking it out of the box? Sure, let them do it.
Plus, I had some Best Buy coupons....not a lot ($50) but better than a stick in the eye. Plus, My son had bought me sort of Best Buy "membership" that offers better than advertised prices. Had been skeptical, but ended up saving another $100 less than advertised price, which was better than ALL the other sellers.
Oh yeah, it's an LG C4 OLED TV. Will be delivered tomorrow.
The Samsung S90D was the runner up. But, digging a little deeper, it seems the QC issues Samsung has had recently are not just isolated incidences.
Sony was 3rd runner up with their Bravia 8. I like Sony. But, not $500 more "like" than I liked the LG.
Nice looking unit. Enjoy.

I just don't know about that display. The screen quality doesn't look a bit better than the screen on which I was watching the video!
The people at the end of the block has one of those. Never talked to him about it but he does have a rather pricey vehicles above and below it so he must trust it.

PontiacCheviac Parisienne, which back then meant a Pontiac body and interior built on a Chevy frame. This one has the 327 Chevy engine with Powerglide. It will go nicely with the ‘63 Impala 2-door he bought a year or so before. Both are 2-door HTs. When he showed me some pictures I asked him where we was keeping it, since his 6-car garage space was already full. He told me he bought another lift, so he now has two of them. I expect a third one will be in his future. It’s just wild.2017 Cadillac ATS Performance Premium 3.6

About their owning a Mitsubishi dealership:
Wouldn’t a Mitsubishi dealership fall in the category of attracting your typical “payment buyers”? So, to my way of thinking, they get buyers on both ends of the market. That’s a win/win, right? Like I’ve said before about stuff like this…”nice work if you can get it”.

I might be too late with this suggestion but if your house has the typical raised 6 panel doors, I’ve found that painting the inside edges of the panels with a brush then painting all of the flat surfaces and door edges with a small 4 inch roller saves a LOT of time and gives a perfect result.
Like I said, I hope I’m not too late with this comment.

When I was at Best Buy last week when I returned the Samsung that had the sound problem and got an education from the guru there he mentioned that I should consider getting the “membership” you mentioned. I’m pretty sure he said it costs $60 because it could save me a lot more than that in a year. I don’t usually buy that stuff but he said when buying a TV and soundbar at the same time it would more than pay for the membership price. He also mentioned that they have an app that saves you money (via credit back to your CC) if you bring a purchase to their attention if you bought at a higher price than what the app is saying. The app updates periodically. I think he said you have 30 days to bring it to their attention. I have to get more info on that but at first blush it seems to be worth the $60.
I’ve mentioned this before that I’m also interested in the LG C4 unit but I’m going with the 55 inch job due to space constraints.
Good luck with yours.

@jmonroe1 …the sales guy wasn’t pushy about the membership. He just said the some of the stuff would be discounted more WITH the membership.
He said if I didn’t save at least $50 in a year (which I exceeded just with the TV), they would refund the $50.
Good way to keep you coming into the store, I suppose.
If we get an earthquake where I live big enough to collapse a 4.5 ton 4 post lift, we have way bigger problems than one of my cars getting squashed.

That’s a good price. Just for grins I just checked the price in the Pittsburgh area and the 65 inch is $1500 and the 55 inch (which is the one I want) is going for $1400, which is what you paid for your 65 inch unit. And I saw no mention about free delivery and set up.
Since I’m not in any hurry to get a TV, I plan on waiting a little bit to see if they’re going to have it on sale for the Super Bowl. Which I’ve heard is pretty typical at that time.

If I were young and buying/building a house today, I think I’d seriously consider getting a garage with a high ceiling that could accommodate a lift. From what I see getting one and having it installed could easily be done for no more than 10 grand. That’s a small price to make working on the underside of a car almost enjoyable. Hell, folks spend twice that to upgrade a kitchen and don’t even know how to cook but it looks good.
@qbrozen, am I right about the total cost?
jmonroe
'18 Legacy Limited with 3.6R (Mrs. j's)
I am having a heck of a time remembering the total, and I can’t seem to find emails about it. Maybe we actually spoke on the phone, as crazy as that is. At the time, I had gotten a good deal on the lifts, at about $7k for the pair. I honestly think my total was $10k for the two 4-posts. I seem to remember thinking about $1k install each was a bargain. It took 2 guys a very long day to put them in.
The 2-post was considerably cheaper because I ordered that direct from China, picked it up at the port, and installed myself. I did put myself out of commission for a week when I pulled my back, though. But cash involved was roughly $1500, IIRC.

Oh, I almost forgot: it was an additional $2566 per garage door to change out the tracks and opener to lift them all the way to the ceiling.
