I noticed the overland 4x4 36/15 residual is 53%. Is the 4x2 quoted the same? Maybe I missed it, but I recall January being lower since it was 4x2.

36/15 on the Overland 4x2 is 51%.

Hello Michaell, I am interested in leasing a 2015 Limited 4x2. MSRP 40530. Selling price 36930 .I believe there is a 1000 dollar rebate for current leesee of non Chrysler vehicles (i qualify for this rebate). There is also i additional 3250 rebate if the lease financing is done though Ally Bank. The sales person is telling me that Ally APR is 6 percent and its cheaper to go though chrysler financial. The rate they are giving me is 1500 total out of pocket (incluses about 600 dollars of cap reduction, rest taxes, fees and first month payment), 408 a month (tax included) for 36months 12k a year. I think its a pretty solid deal, what do you think, does it add up. Using chrysler financial.

Hey, I'm trying to lease a 2015 GC Overland 4x4 (47k msrp) or a 2015 GC Limited 4x4 with Luxury Group 2 package 36/12k. I would like to go into the dealer with as much information as possible. Can some1 please provide money factor and residual for both vehicles for NJ/NYC area. And if possible how much can I expect to have the dealer reduce the price off the MSRP.

4x4 or 4x2?

Chrysler numbers only show 15K residuals - extra miles are purchased up front for something like .10-.25 per mile.

If you need that many miles per year, a lease may not be the best approach.

Interesting. He's got me at the $524 with only plate fees out of pocket. Does this seem sketchy or a really good deal? The dealer and i have been back and forth for well over a month now and he says this is "one of the best deals he's seen on one of these" (Typical of a dealer).

The "sales tax" is explained as a "Finance Tax of 8.7500%". Sales tax in our county is 8.75 but i wasnt aware they only taxed on the length of the lease only...

Ask the dealer what the "net cap cost" is ... this should be the number inclusive of taxes, fees, etc. that you are rolling into the lease.

At the moment, $524/mo with tax is a pretty good deal on a car that stickers for $47K. Residuals on the Overland are low compared to other trim levels, so that hurts you.

If you're comfortable with the selling price, no reason not to do this deal.

I don't follow transaction prices that closely - I've never been in the market for a $40-50K SUV. Read back a few pages on this discussion to see what others have been getting for discounts.
