Thats correct - MSO and never titled. And Buying not boing!
Thanks!
What are they asking out there ..?
Terry.
Thats the important thing, she doing fine .. not the psycho drivers on the other side of the family .l.o.l....

$8,500 ...? .. something is wrong somewhere, it's gotta be worth $10,0 trade side, probably even as high as $10,5 for a real player, but don't count on it .. are you forgetting a small $750 or $1,200 little kiss that was done a few years back like the guy with the Axiom ...?!?!?
Down Retail Rd, super duper detail, super sonic ad - $12,900 *asking* and say: Hasta la Vista at the first $11,5/$12,5 .. lots of Honda's for sale, $14,5 ..? EX V6 maybe .. the miles save this one.
Let us know ....

She's a good kid......just don't talk cars with her, she's worse than me.....oh and never ever play racing games with her, she plays dirty.
Have you thought of taking the duct tape off her lips ..?

Hi again Terry! :-) Just wondering what I can expect now (March/April) for a trade-in on my Outback. It's got new 'shoes' (blackwall TigerPaw touring's) and now has almost 36k on 'er. Otherwise, it's just as clean and well kept as before. I also have the Subaru Gold extended warranty that is transferrable.

Terry.
This one is for a friend. She has a 99 Infiniti I--specs are
auto
leather
6 disk changer
moon roof
auto dimming mirror
white with tan guts
deep rubber
no dents/blemishes
110% service at dealer
95k miles in Phoenix
what should she expect on the trade side/pvt party?
Thanks again
Nice pics .. whats all that white stuff in the 3rd picture - I guess thats one of the movie sets from Miami Vice ..?
The miles are low, we have new shoes and if it's close to the picture and no downhill racer stunts .. then trade side, in and around the $11's, might "maybe" see a little more depending on the dealer .. what are you looking at to buy ..?
Terry.
There is no doubt there is vehicles that are in any paper in America for the extreme "far side" of retail .. it's only human nature.
They look up the information from Nada, Kbb, Edmunds, Better Homes and Garden, Golf digest, National Enquirer and whatever media of info has the highest figures is what they use .. then 2 months later, the same vehicle is still for sale, 5 months later there off to Home Depot to get some potting soil so they can make a planter out of it .....

I'm located north of Scranton, PA and and need a realistic trade in value.
Thanks in advance for your help.

95k, tall miles going on here .. right color for the area, no kisses, all the service - IF, it looks drives and feels like 50k, no I ate 5 Big Mac's a day and can't figure out why my leather seats look smashed, no-repaints and some real cold breeze .. if it's just a nice hi-miler Infiniti with some care - then trade side, in and around the ultra high $5's, low $6's, maybe a little more if it's jam-up puuuurfect and it needs -0- .. if it needs stuff, start deducting.
If you waddle down Retail Rd: delicious detail, attention getting ad, $8,900 *asking* and snatch the first $7,5/$8,5 .. if this is a nice vehicle it won't last long, folks that know Infiniti's will have no fear of 95k - "with" a great history of course ...
Let me know what happens ..!
Terry.
What would be a good offering price?
No racer stunts, as it's vehicle #2 for carting our 2 kids around. It's actually a 4yr/48k lease ending in July. Will lease again (my dw has at home business) and am 95% set on a Forester XT from the same dealer where the Outback was leased. I believe there is a mileage credit as well for being under, not sure if that applies to a trade-in. As far as the new Subie, I'm eligble for invoice pricing on it via the IMBA VIP Partner discount.

However, I would hate to have to push around all that rubber with only the 4cyl
Good luck maxxi

...... In the city of Lost Wages .. miles are low low low, paint better be nice nice nice, rubber better be deep deep deep ...
It's a "M" with dual toppers, if the paint is not faded, looks and feels like an 02, no casino kisses, seats look hovered in and all the service .. then trade side, in and around the ultra high $3's, low $4 range ...
Me personally, this would be going right down Retail Rd .. great Ad, super detail, $7,900 *asking* and off it goes to one of the Show Girls for $6,5/$7,5 .. this should last about 2 days in the land of glitter.

As an update, I posted the M on Autotrader.com for $6,000 - which I viewed as a fair price and I received four contacts in three days and have agreed to sell it for $6,000 to a guy flying in from Philly. Go figure.
I'm now thinking that I didn't ask enough, thanks for the help Terry.

There is absolutely NO relationship between the size of the wheels and the fact that the bolts supplied with body lifts break under the stress of an accident and the body (and occupants) can detach from the frame.
I'm surprised that with our overly litigious society, the NHTSA hasn't outlawed body lifts altogether.
I've investigated 4 fatalities and umpteen injuries involving body lift mounting point breaks, so PLEASE don't tell me they're aren't dangerous.
Body lifts are for someone who is too cheap to do it right and install a suspension lift.
There'll be no body-lifted vehicles in my dealer group's used car inventory, and that notion doesn't belong to just me.
2002 Protge5, silver, slider, meat cleaver, 40K miles.
Broken foglight, mismatched tires, one of which reminds me of Kojak, ghetto tint, decal in back window, filthy interior (complete w/Burger King large sioda cup) been a lot queen for almost 80 days.
So what's a good deal? I think it'll clean up well.....

"I'm thinking about selling my Jetta. I like it, it has been a great car, but I really miss having a pickup truck. What is a fair asking price for a 2003 VW Jetta Wagon GLS TDI, 5 spd. manual transmission, leather, monsoon, and heated seats & mirror in baltic green, with about 19k miles. It is in great shape because it is only 1 year old. I have looked at several places for comparison, but there aren't enough of them to really get a good idea. There are lots of Jettas, and lots of TDI's for sale, but few if any TDI wagons. When I bought it I had to go through a lot of hoops because several dealers told me "there are only 7 on the whole east coast", so obviously there are not that many coming up for sale. Any advice that you can give me will be greatly apreciated."
Many companies make strong kits with good hardware. My problem is with body lifts, or "spacer lifts" as the Jeep owner called them - not cool.
See if you can see a problem with this arrangement. They look like this:

Scroll down to the bottom two photos.
When it comes back from the detail, it will probably look like a grandmother drove it back and forth to church on Sunday, but you've had the benefit of seeing how it really lived. It would take a pretty substantial discount to get me interested!!!
I'd want to look inside the valve covers and and look at the oil dipstick for gunk -
My uncle just bought a 2001 loaded Crown Victoria from a neighbor who was going to turn it in after a three year lease. Don't know what he paid, but he is very happy. Now needs to sell his 1993 white Crown Victoria. 66K miles, LX with every possible option. Service is outstanding with all receipts, new (6 mo. old) tires. I know it can't be called excellent, but it is very, very, clean inside and out. St. Petersburg, Florida area. He is asking $3500 and has already turned down $2800. I don't think he's out of line, but I'm in Ohio and don't know about the market down there so I'm asking you. Thanks in advance.
Florida is also the place that usually has its fair share of relatively low mileage, Grandpa hardly ever drove it, large cars.
You are not looking for a car, are you? It would make a good keep in the family kind of drive mobile.
FYI were it here, it would have an amount financed of $4000 with the $500 down at a super low 19% interest. The joys of buy here pay here.
basically a "base" TL but the only option in 2003 was the nav
The salesman said it was a recent trade from an older gentleman who got a new 04 TL
He is hitting me at 25,900 WITH a Acura Certification included.
Given a choice I would really rather have the Type-S and the Navi but they are just not as common and I would like to do something with 1-2 months.
Terry, what say you?
I'm sure Terry can give you specifics on the actual market.. But, my guess is this is about a $22,000-$23,000 car. Maybe the certified warranty makes it worth a little more.
Just my $.02,

Want $77500 (listed now @ $79,800, original MSRP $92,000)) and will give me $39K for my boxster S (2003 loaded)
I initially passed as I was not planning on spending this much but...... now I'm considering. My max is a $35K difference, is this feasible? or just plain offensive?
BTW, a recent survey I filled out for this dealership for Porsche NA was printed in Porsche NA's quarterly report and because of it they were awarded some $$$ and some extra stuff. The service mgr, who deserves it(not the GM), said in 15yrs of Porsche service this has never happened to him and he is literally bouncing off the walls. You'd think because of something like this they would be lenient with me on price but their GM is something else!
thanks for the promptness

Also, really like the new Acura TL, so considering trading the Lexus, but that's still iffy, at least until there are better deals to be had on the TL w/ Navigation, and I'm sure I want to make the change. The TLs are still pretty hot. Would also consider selling The Lexus myself, but not a lot of people have that kind of money sitting around for a private sale, and there is the tax break to consider.
Columbus Ohio area.
At this instant, my website seems to be down, so you may not be able to view the pictures.
'99 Lexus LS400, black on tan. moonroof, heated seats, CD changer, HID lights, 50% tinted windows. Decent condition, no accidents according to carfax, but paintwork on the right rear door. There is a scratch (about 1") on the right rear quarter panel. Typical stone chips on the front. Clean interior except for a carpet stain under the left rear floor mat. 40k miles, and still running great. I don't know if I can give up that smooth V8, but new technology and a pristine paint job are calling to me. I need to stay away from auto shows. :-)

'93 Honda Accord SE, dark green on tan, new tires & exhaust, AC runs cold, power moonroof, windows and doors, CD changer, BOSE stereo, alarm w/ keyless entry, 150k miles, average condition for its age. Paintwork (color matches well, but easy to spot) on the hood, and left front fender and driver's door. (A deer ran into the side of the car and rolled over the hood.) Also a few problems, it will need a driver's door window track (had to do the same thing on the '91, may take a couple tries to get an airtight seal when rolling it up),the rear window defogger seems to be on the fritz, and one of the speakers is blown (currently disconnected. I was thinking about $2500-3k as is, or ~$3500 if I get the items fixed? One of the potential buyers bought my last two Hondas when I sold them. Anyway, I only paid $2500 for it, so I figure worst case, I drove it 2.5 years for free. :-)

Another car to sell (and perhaps the last of the year).
2001 Pontiac Bonneville SE Sedan
3.8 Litre 3800 series 8 V-6
Dark Bronzemist metallic exterior
Taupe interior
Dual Airbags
Remote keyless entry
Leather wrapped steering wheel
Leather bucket seats
Air conditioning with dual zone
AM/FM Stereo with cassette and CD
Traction Contro;
Rear Spoiler and fog lamps
Rally gages and tachometer
On Star
Interior - very clean
Exterior - no dings or dents BUT .....
A deer ran into the passenger side of the car a few months back denting both doors and the front and rear fenders (and survived).
Took it to the best body shop in the area and they did a great job. I can't tell where the damage was but I don't look at a thousand cars a week.
Two questions:
1) If I sent it to the auctions, what can I expect to see for it??
2) What would be the retail on this car?
I may bid on the car also. It is a sweet ride.
