Thanks for the info. Does the acquisition fee vary by state/region/dealer? I'll work the other ones and get this nailed down a bit more.

Acquisition fee is the same for all of the U.S.

Dealers are allowed to add an additional $200.00.

You should be able to get it below invoice now with the innovation credit. Try Pacific BMW, I have heard good things about them. It is possible that BMW will increase the credit next month. Also, find a local BMW drive event and you will get a coupon code for $1,000 off a BMW.

Also, consider a "punched" car (a term a learned about in the past 30 days). A punched car is where the dealer is given additional incentives (typically over 1k) on cars at the end of the month whereby the dealer buys it and BMW shows it as a sale for that month. The warranty runs when the car is "punched" but should have no impact on you if you LEASE and the car was punched within the last few months. By way of an example, I looked at a 2015 535x with less than 30 miles on it with an MSRP of $58,435.00 which a dealer in NJ was willing to lease to me based on a purchase price of $59,200.00. The only reason why I passed on it was because it had beige interior. You just have to be careful to see when it was punched and make sure you confirm the warranty period.

Thanks for the info. I got in touch with Pacific BMW following a thread I saw on Bimmerpost forum. They have good prices. I also did the drive for team USA yesterday. I got in touch with a dealer in Santa Clarita area. Prices and lease numbers are great now. Nearly 7K off MSRP plus $1000 rebate. Might get one next week but it sounds tempting to wait and see if credit improves next month.

"Punched Car" is something I havent heard about. Will keep an eye out.

You are in the same boat I am in. I am going to wait and see if I get any last minute calls from dealers with "additional incentives" on the last day of the month, otherwise I will risk going into July.

I may not be able to get mine before the end of the mo th for personal reasons, so I'm really hoping that at least the same incentives stay in July
I got the payment at 585 including tax for car MSRP 66325 3years 36m miles with 7MSD and no cap reduction. Acquisition fee rolled into lease. Drive of is the MSD first month payment and registration.
I paid 760 for the same car 3 years ago. The residual was 56% at that time.
I looked at the Lexus GS and payments are not much cheaper. Seems like a good time to lease a 5 series.

Please check with your dealer, I think if you put a credit app in now, you may be able to pick between June and July's program even if you buy in July.

I wouldn't deal with a dealer who marks up the money factor. Just my opinion.

Moderator, can you please help with the RV and MF for 2015 and 2016 (may not be available yet for 2016) BMW 550xi, for 12k,15k,18k miles per year for the best term of the lease. I think for BMW the sweet spot is 36month, correct me if I am wrong.

    No 2016 numbers.

Got it. I didn't know sales tax on a lease was different. So does that make this a decent deal?  I actually think I can get the sale price down a bit more based on TrueCar values for this car. Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

I am trying to ask for a deal from local bmw dealer here, and wondered if its reasonable or not.
    2015 BMW 535i
    MSRP $67,070
Could I ask a 10% of MSRP? Add $3,000 down to get to $58,000(with ac fee)
So if yes what would be monthly lease payment for CA 36m/10k

    I got a quote on a $55,150 528i with 3k down for $692.03/m ( MF .00168; Gross Cap $54,645; Net Cap $53,022.25).

For me a 692/m seems way to much.
    Please help.

back up for a second, the money factor should be .00130, the dealer appears to be marking it up. If you have good credit, run, don't walk away from that dealer. If you look above you will see a post for a 535x where the poster is paying under $600.00 a month with MSDs which MSRP is close to yours. What part of CA are you in?

    San Diego, CA

If terms are 36/10 & max 3k for down payment or MSD's on the 535i what should the car cap cost/price be to have a $500/m payment or less.

For example: Car Price $65,000, Car Cap Cost is $56,000 w/ $3000 down(cap cost reduction), MF 0.00130 & RV 63%($40,950) w/ CA tax ~ 8% ----> monthly with tax is $493.40. Is this a correct calculation?

I am shooting for a under $500/m payment so I try to understand what car price I need to get that monthly. Thank you very much.

I wouldn't put additional money down, what happens if the car is totaled? You may lose that 3K. Use the money to reduce the money factor through MSDs. What about the acquisition fees, documentation and registration fees? You have to have all your numbers down pat. I doubt if you will get below $500.00

You can do much better. Look at the numbers I posted. Use that as a reference and shop around. Dont put any money down. Do MSD to reduce your MF. Try to do the Drive for Team USA event. They have several in San Diego area this weekend. Just show up at dealer and register there.
I got my previous lease at Encenitas, they were good. Get in touch with Pacific BMW as well.
I'm going in to finalize my lease today, will update once done

What i don't see is any incentives or credits, and can someone calculate this with base MF please? Also 1 MSD is $1000?

The incentive is included in the "savings" on this quote.

Base payment before tax drops by $36/mo. with the base MF.

    Moderator,
I checked with my BMW dealer and there is no way to build 2015 550xi any more, even though the BMW website still lets you do this.
Do you have MF and Residual for 2016 550xi for 36 months, 15k or 18k/year? Any incentives?

No 2016 5-series lease info is available this month.

Wait for Pacific's quote, I bet you they beat them. Have you tried to see if there is a drive near you for the 1,000 off code?

No, the MSD depends on your monthly payment and is rounded up. My monthly payment is going to be below $600.00 so each MSD will be $600.00. I am posting the maximum of 7 which is 7 x $600.00.

There are a few app's in the ITunes store (and I assume Google) which will allow you to add everything in and to calculate the monthly payment. I used Leasematic for mine and I think I cam within $1 of the dealer's monthly quote.

They ceased production of the 2015 5 series at the end of June. I think the factory is closed for two weeks and then they will start on the 2016 models. I don't think they do 18k leases. Have you ever thought of an European Delivery? You can save some money on a 2016 and use the savings for a vacation driving your car in Europe. I think BMW forgives a one month lease payment but it may take 6 weeks or more to get the car back.

I am thinking now that I might not afford a 5 series :(  since I am looking to be under $500/m.
Until this dealers give me quotes I want to calculate something on a 428i gran coupe. I know this is wrong forum but 4 series one seems dead.
Could I get MF,  RV on a 36/10 428i GC please?
I configured one on bmw usa and come up to $52,520(m,drv asst, prem, tech, hk).
This looks a lot more reasonable if I could get this on for invoice price - 3k down and a credit incentive I should be in the $450/m range, correct?

    Picked up my car yesterday
535i with Msport, Premium package and Driver assist package and a few other things
    MSRP 67100
Cap Cost 59920 with 995 Acquisition rolled in
1000 Drive for team USA event.
    36mo 12K
    Drive off 5826
7 MSD 4200, Cap reduction 387, Licence 484, first month payment, Doc Fee 80, Tax 106 on cap reduction
    585/month including 8% California tax

My calculator gave me around 577, but I wasn't about to argue about $7
    Hope that helps..
Thanks for all the help in the forum.
