Genesis 2015 3.8 RWD Ultimate Package selling price $45,570 15k per year, 4yr lease, 0 down, requesting only 1st payment ($590.00) at signing. Total monthly payment is $590.00 per month. Residual 53%. Hope this helps. I'm waiting to hear from a couple of other dealers on lease payments.
Tax was not mentioned, but our tax rate here is 6.25%.
If you can answer asap, I would appreciate it. I'm almost ready to go forward, but want to make sure this is a good deal. Any help would be appreciated!
@leaseorbuy1 Lease payments are made up of 2 components. One is for the use of the vehicle and the other is the "rent charge" (interest). To get the total monthly pmt you add these 2 numbers together for the pre-tax monthly pmt. From the calculation I get from using online lease calculators it seems that your deal is made up of the following: $397.84 is the base vehicle pmt and $192.16 is the "rent charge" for a total of $590/ mo for 48 months. So it seems like the Interest Rate (money factor) in this deal is 6.4%! From reading other posts that is very very high. The moderator has posted rates of 3.5% which would bring your "rent charge" down to $108.07 for a total monthly pmt of $505.91. I'm not an expert by any means so anyone feel free to correct me if I have misread this.
Hello: I have a Honda Pilot EX-L 2013 And I am interested in the 2015 Genesis AWD with the Ultimate Package. So I went to a Hyundai Dealer and they Appraised my Honda and they came up with a $3500 negative equity which is no good enough according to the kbb but never mind that. I negociated the price to $47000 from MSRP of $52450 now according to my calculation based on the 58% residual and a money factor of 0.00150 the payments should be around $664 with a $1500 down payment, but they told me that I have to give them $3000 and the payment would still be $680. Do you think that $680 for 36ms with 15k is a good deal? I need help.

The negative equity has to be dealt with - either you pay that money up front or it gets added into the new lease. $3500 is about $100/mo more on your payment for a 36 month lease.
You may want to check the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion here at Edmunds to get an independent appraisal of what your Pilot is worth in trade - the dealer may be low-balling you.
With the numbers you are providing, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $576.66/mo for 36 months, so your quote of $664 or $680 seems too high.
Also note that sales tax for leases in NJ are calculated up front and are either paid at the beginning of the lease or added into the cap cost. My calculations do not take that into consideration.
Yes I understand the negative equity is added to my monthly payment and that is what I want. what I am talking about is that with $1500 total out of pocket and $664 is what I am coming with. But the Dealer is coming up with $680 and $3000 total out of pocket for me. How did you come up with $576.66 pretax when I got $620 pretax.?
I am actually adding a $3000 negative equity not $3500 so my negotiated price is $48500 MSRP $52452 Negotiated $47000 Negative equity $3000 Total Negotiated $48500 $1500 Total out of pocket $664 a Month. Am I correct?
Monthly Payment: $620.58 Monthly Payment Tax: $43.44 Monthly Total Payment: $664.02 Depreciation: $18079.00 Finance Fee: $4261.73 Total Monthly Sales Tax: $1563.85 Total Sales Tax: $1668.85 Total Payment: $23904.59 Total Lease Cost: $25509.59
I believe the dealer is adding in the sales tax to the cap cost and that is what is making the payment higher than what you are calculating - there is no "monthly tax" for leases in NJ - it's calculated up front and either paid at lease inception or rolled into the cap cost.
I am looking for information on 2015 3.8 AWD tech or ultimate lease. Can someone confirm any changes to the MF of .00150 and residual of 60% for 36 month 12k lease as was posted in October. Is there a 24 month lease? Thanks for the help.

November numbers are .00068 and 58% for 36/12 with $500 lease cash. No 24 month numbers exist.
The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is a great car and I just read that it took the top spot in ALG's Residual Value Awards for the Premium Full-Size Car segment.
Why is this not reflected in the lease residuals? As much as I want to lease the Genesis, a comparable MSRP BMW has much higher lease residual and incentives that the monthly lease payment is much lower (w/ similar terms).
It seems like the Genesis just isn't a good car to lease from a financial stand point.

Am I missing something there?
No - BMW has had a practice of inflating their residual values to make the lease payments cheaper. It also means that the car will be worth less than the agreed upon residual value at the end of the lease, so very few customers buy the car.
Hyundai probably sets a more accurate (read: realistic) residual value, which makes leasing more expensive by comparison.
Can the $1500 Conquest Lease Bonus be combined with the $500 leasing bonus cash for $2K cash towards leasing? I don't see anything explicit in the fine print for each that excludes the other.

You'd have to check with a dealer.. we don't have that info.
Does Hyundai allow MSDs (Multiple Security Deposits) for a Genesis lease? If so, what is the money factor reduction for each MSD, and the max number of MSDs? Thanks.

To evaluate a lease, we need MSRP, selling price, length of lease, amount due at signing, tax rate/state... at the minimum.

I have a quote for a monthly payment of $547 for a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 AWD, fully loaded (Tech, Premium, Ultimate packages).
MSRP $52540
Residual $30528
12 K miles/year, 36 months
This is with a lease discount of $2000 ($1500 of which is for the Hyundai Conquest Lease).
Is that a good lease quote?
Did anyone get a better quote?
