kyfdx, spoke to a Kia dealer in so cal today. they said the lease cash just went up to 5750 on thursday, and res for sx turbo is 45%, they lowered the mf to .00063, trying to get $330.00 per month on a 10/36, msrp 34,445, we will see!

Sorry @Michaell that I can't answer the call any better than you can.  Does the dealer know?  I'd say you'd have to pay the rebate tax and get it back from MA.  I'd call the MA DMV & ask them.

They may be, but you can only get the numbers for where you register the car, on a lease. So, it wouldn't matter.

sale price $32,500
$5,000 rebate, and $400 military rebate
res 17,522.
we got 981.00 equity from our trade
10k/36
$333.81 per month otd
can't say it was my best experience at a dealership, but left feeling like we did o.k.
they were very blah, and made errors on contract that I had to point out (put 12k, instead of 10k, which i knew would be a trip back to dealership) and I know kia leases include gap, 2 people at dealership said they do not, and 2 people at KMF said yes they do, I wasnt going to sign until I had it in writing.
all said and done, love the car and love the price we paid!

Great, thanks Michaell.  How could I best use the lease cash to save me money per month? Would it be subtracted from the MSRP or cap cost?

Negotiate your best price then subtract the lease cash.

Perfect thanks. So hypothetically if I negotiate the cost of the car down to $29k, I can then ask them to subtract $5000 lease cash, right?  Where can I point to if they question the validity of the $5k lease cash?

Most likely any price they offer will already include the lease cash, so keep that in mind.

Yes $190 with MA sales tax. I know it was a good deal for me but sometimes you leave the dealer wondering if you could do better. I didn't get that feeling this time.

What may have helped the deal is that I was picking up a newly leased 2016 Sedona for my wife and made the deal with the finance manager (took 5 minutes to haggle) while she was taking delivery. 4 hours later I drove the car home. 2 new cars the same day. The neighbors are suspicious.

2015 Hybrid EX 24/12:
.00087 MF and 50% residual. $9000 lease cash.

No 10K/yr allowance for 24 month leases.

Not sure on your follow up question, but I'd say it's doubtful
