We would need to know the selling price in order to model a payment.
We do not recommend making a down payment in a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
The MSRP is $34,600 and the reason I'm making such a large Downpayment is because I cant have a high monthly ($3500 down) but I wanted to know how much lease cash is offered this month. This will be my first car I ever have I will be 17 with my mom signing both of us don't know a lot about negotiating, and we don't want to get ripped off. (I will be paying the monthly bill so I wanted it to be under $305 to $320 a month which is lower than my income.
Your first car shouldn't be a 34k car. Get a used one. Your logic of putting down a high down payment so your payments are lower goes against leasing 101. Get a used sccord or camry.

You can lease a new Accord or Camry for under $300/mo with less than $1000 out of pocket pretty easily.

Yeah it would make a lot more sense to buy a used car but my Mom doesnt want me to drive a used one so this was the next best option. My original idea was to buy a used subaru with the dual sunroof which is something I really want in my first car. Since my family wants me to get a new car and I wanted a Panoramic/dual Sunroof under $305 a month I came up with the Kia Optima but idk how much i should put down now but i know i have to be in or under the low $300's a month, preferably under $280.... Any info will help
I like both the Kia Optima EX with/premium and tech packages as well as the SX-Turbo with the same packages but I would like the power of the SXT but prefer how much cheaper the EX would be, any idea how much lease cash they are offering currently so I can have an idea of what i would have to pay? -- EX = $30,000 3/36k -- SX = $34,600 3/36k How much should I put down? ( I can go up to $3500) under $305 How much lease cash are they giving right now? In Sacramento, CA this will be my first car.
Residual value and MF for a 2015 Optima LX for 24/12 in Wisconsin, please.
A dealer here is advertising $99.00 per month for 24 months--including $4500 lease cash (and a $500 military and $400 college grad, neither of which would apply to me).
$0 down, $0 due at signing, $0 first month's payment. "Sign and drive."
If I tack on the $900.00 for the inapplicable military/grad, and divide by 24, that adds $37.50 per month to the $99.00 base payment (before MF and state taxes).
$136.50/month for an Optima LX for 24 months before interest and taxes is still a great deal, no?

Thanks for your help!
.00060 MF and 58% residual. $4500 lease cash.
Yeah... if you can drive that car for $160/mo. for 24 months, it's a great deal.
Not sure what the catch might be. I'm approaching my second lease, so I know how to crunch the numbers--and I don't see how they can slip anything in when they're advertising the $4500 lease cash, and their verbiage is "$99.00 per month. $0 down, $0 due at signing, $0 first month's payment."
There's no verbiage in their ad about a cap cost reduction, etc.
$595.00 acquisition fee is requested up front--but could be rolled into the lease, I'm sure (raising the monthly payment, of course).
If the MF/interest is .00060/1.44%, and a residual of 58%, what could I be missing?
24 payments at $136.50 equals $3276.00, meaning the 58% residual is only $3276.00 less than the negotiated price. But $4500.00 lease cash would bring down the MSRP...
Thanks, again. I'd prefer an AWD (I'm in WI), but to drive a decent car for just 24 months at $160.00/month, all inclusive, might be too good to pass up.

The one thing you don't have is CAP cost or selling price..
And.... if the acquisition fee is extra, they've already contradicted their own ad, so anything is up for grabs, there. If you are truly interested in that model, go check it out and be ready to deal. (or, call and ask for the CAP cost of the deal in the ad.. but, good luck with that).
In order to achieve the $99.00 per month, they're citing the required "tax, title and license" fees to be $2,100.00!
Can you believe it???
(Of course you can... You're a pro at this...)
Tax, title and license! $2,100.00! OMG...
I was under the impression that WI taxed the monthly payment, not collect the tax for the entire lease up front (or tax the entire selling price of the car, as is the case in a number of other states).
You are correct about that. I'm presently live in WI and am finishing up a lease that commenced in WI.
You pay 5.6% sales tax only on your monthly payment, after money factor/interest is applied.
I simply thought this dealer was applying their verbiage randomly, to serve them--not that it's actually based on anything legitimate.
Having written that, I would think that title and license fees are State mandated--and can't be stretched, willy-nilly. The cost of a title for a vehicle is the cost of a title for a vehicle, and the cost of license plates for a vehicle is the cost of license plates for a vehicle...
Wonder how they're getting away with burying $2,100.00 under the terms "tax, title and license fees"...

Sounds like some additional questioning is in order.
Even though the Sales Manager informed me that the $99.00/month requires a $2,100.00 tax, title and license fee, I revisited the site, and see that it actually reads, "Tax, title, license AND DOC FEE extra."
If push were to come to shove, I'm sure the $2,100.00 falls under the "doc fee" verbiage.

Yeah.... if you've done a lot of local shopping over the years, you get a feel for the ads that are straightforward and which ones are BS. Even the straightforward ones have to be examined for gotchas.
Is the lease cash over and above the negotiated selling price? I've always thought that you should negotiate a selling price regardless of the decision to purchase vs. lease. thanks

Correct .. negotiate your best price, then have the dealer subtract the lease cash from it. It's important to realize that there are different incentives for buying versus leasing ... and that they aren't compatible.
Can you give the lease numbers for 2015 EX for Southern California for 24/36 and 10K/12K? Thanks.

Add 1% to the 12K residuals if you would like 10K miles per year.

Interesting that the MF for SoCal is not the same as NJ. Usually in SoCal we get the best and lowest MF when there is a range for period.
Thanks a lot with your help. Just got the Optima LX. 24/12k Lease $230/mo, $0 out of pocket, and the dealer paid the first month payment MSRP was $23,325 Not sure how the numbers broke down at the end but seemed like a good deal.

Nice deal - enjoy your new Optima.
If the same deals are available next fall, I'll have to seriously consider an Optima as my next lease.
