"Cash back from Kia Motors America, Inc (KMA). Must take delivery from a participating dealer and from retail stock from 1/5/2016 to 2/29/2016. Cash back offer when you purchase a new car only and may not be combined with Special Low APR and Special Lease offers. This incentive is for a limited time offer on eligible Kia vehicles. Not all incentive programs are compatible. See dealer for details."
Looks that way. But I see they have a $500 Model Loyalty Offer that can be combined with lease offers. I have a 2013 Optima so I should be eligible for that plus the Lease Cash. It seems like the 2015's are going for at most invoice and usually at least 1-2k below invoice before any incentives. Add in $7500 Lease Cash for a 24 mo Limited lease and that is about $10-11k below MSRP.
call the finance manager of a local kia dealer and ask the same question. What you are finding is one of the annoying things about leasing; purchase incentives are public knowledge but lease incentives are treated like nuclear secrets. I trust the edmunds data but they are one of the only sources for it...
So are the Bonus Lease Cash offers legit? I trust Edmunds too but I don't trust what a dealer tells me. That is why I want to confirm if they are real before I call the dealers.
i ran the numbers on the 24 mo lease on a SXL for msrp 36.5k, sell 33.0k; the payment was a very high 416/mo using a 6.75% tax rate and 325 for doc/reg. The low residual % makes this a mediocre deal IMO.
As for selling price, the 2015's should be at least $1000-1500 below invoice not including any incentives. The 16' are on the lot so they should be looking to get rid of the 15's.
My calc is different than yours. Im using $36500 msrp, 49% resid, 0.00031 mf, 24 mo. Sell price/cap cost of $25000 which is $1000 below invoice - $500 Model Loyalty - $7500 Bonus Lease Cash ($34000-1000-500-7500=$25000). I get $331 mo and that includes 7% NJ tax.

Well, since you are asking the same people that gave you the info, what sort of answer are you expecting?
How are the numbers on 2015 and 2016 Optimas in MA for 36/10k? I am wondering if it is even worth to look at 2015s still. More specifically the 2016 lx turbo and the 2015 turbo.

Thank you for the info! I actually meant the 2015 SX Turbo. Are the numbers similar? With the 5000 leash cash would you basically negotiate the car down as close to invoice as you could and then subtract the lase cash from that? Thank you again!

Sorry If I am asking too many questions but I am finding this forum very helpful. I blindly negotiated a lease for my Father last year and plan on negotiating one for myself this month. If an Optima SX turbo has an MSRP of $34,330 and is being advertised at a "Final price" of $27,626, what would be a fair lease deal? Would you take the final price and then apply the 5000 lease cash? I have a trade in value at around 2500 from a couple dealers. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the info. I actually meant the numbers on a 2015 SX Turbo and a 2016 LX Turbo (1.6L). It looks like a 2015 might be a good deal with the lease cash plus a trade I own. Do you have any tips in using the lease cash in negotiating?
I apologize for the multiple posts. My internet connection was acting up and wasn't showing me if posts were going through. If a moderator can delete the duplicates that would be helpful.

2015 SX Turbo - .00072 and 49%. $4500 lease cash.
2016 LX Turbo - .00003 and 55%. $1600 lease cash.

We do not recommend using trade equity as a down payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. Have the dealer cut you a check for the equity instead.
Thank you once again! I have never even heard of having the dealer cut you a check for trade equity. My trade in is an older 2006 Passat that I own, which is paid off. Would I basically ask them to cut me a check for the 2200 the car is valued at?

I think a 10 year old Passat is worth more than the $2200 the dealer is offering. Head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion for a fair trade estimate.
But, whatever number you agree on, you can get the dealer to write you a check for that amount. Then you can decide how to use it ...

The only issue is that it has an absurd amount of miles on it, 185k to be exact. I'll take a look at tge Trade discussion as well.
I received my first offer and wanted to see what you guys think.
MSRP: 34,500 "Special Internet Price": 25,995 (with all available incentives) Down Payment: 1000 Monthly: 315 including taxes and fees
This seems like a decent first offer. I was expecting it a little lower because both Edmunds Value calculator and Truecar have the vehicle at around 28500 for average sale price. What does everyone think? Do you think there is some wiggle room to work with. I have also emailed a couple other dealers to see what they offer. Thanks again. This forum is so helpful!

This is for a 2015 SX Turbo. The lease term is 36 months and 10k per year. They are claiming the offer is only good until the end of the weekend but they will beat any other legitamite offer I receive.

I get $283/mo + tax with those numbers. $315 seems a bit high - what is the tax rate?
Might want to confirm the net cap cost - if higher than the "special internet price", find out what's been added.
Sounds good! I am meeting with them tomorrow. The tax rate in MA is 6.25 and you pay it monthly. I'm pretty sure they have to be willing to go down if this is their initial offer.
Quick question, are the numbers for 2015 SX Turbo and 2015 SXL the same as MA? I just found a couple in NH but their MSRP numbers look lower by like 1.5k.

So I stopped by the dealership today to get the full numbers. It looks like there are about 1000 in docs and fees that bring the price up to 315 a month. They valued my trade at 500 plus conquest bonus brought it up to 1000. After talking back and forth I basically asked for the selling price of the vehicle without the rebates so I can compare apples to apples with other dealers. This is where I was a little disappointed. The car has an MSRP of 34500 and they are selling it for 3100 without the rebates. That is about 10% off of MSRP on a left over that is about to be 2 years old in a couple of months when the 2017 cars roll in. Was I expecting too much off? They did mention they would match anyone and if they have to reduce the price of the car, they would. What type of price should I realistically aim for? I was thinking more towards 15-20% off MSRP. Too much? The cap cost with rebates and incentives (4500 leash cash +500 competitors) is 25998.99. These are the numbers which I am not too happy with.
MSRP:34500 Selling Price:31000 Cap Cost with dealer fees: 27120 Down payment: 1000 Trade in: 1000 Monthly: 300.06 with taxes
Is it time to look towards the 2016 models? Thanks for all the help! You guys sure saved me,

$300/mo on a $34k car is not a bad payment. But, if you aren't comfortable with the numbers, you were right to walk.
I have now started looking in different states including CT and NY. NY has some insane advertised deals but they tend to have a FICO of 800 as a requirement. I find that to be quite high, no? I thought Tier 1 was over 720. This reeks of scams.

For Kia Motors Finance backed leases, anything over 700 is considered top tier credit.

800 could be the "auto-enhanced" score.. I think that is on a 900 scale.
I was actually reading many of the reviews on a couple New York Kia dealerships. Wow, were they horrible! Offering cars a really good deals then pulling a bait and switch to numerous customers. They, by far, had the best price advertised on the car I am looking for but after contacting them, I am very hesitant to waste my time.

While I believe that Kia has some great product, the dealer organization seems to be the weak link. Lots of screamer ads, lots of bait and switch, lots of games.
Keep searching - it only takes one dealer to make a deal on your terms.
Yea I am in no hurry at all. I'm just waiting to see if a dealer offers me a deal that will blow me out of the water. Hopefully, since the 2015's are a couple months away from being 2 years old (In the auto world), they'll cut me a really good deal.

The other side of that coin is that the deals are really good right now, and inventory may shrink to the point where Kia decides to stop supporting the lease deals. And, less inventory means you may have to compromise on color or equipment.
You, sir, make a very good point. Unless I get a screaming deal, I am inclined to wait until later in the month. I have actually set my eyes on the 2015 SXL. It looks like dealers are willing to discount it further and there are around 15 of them in the area. I have preference in color, but when push comes to shove, I'd take any color.

With 3 weeks left in the month, that approach makes sense. Might be able to find the one dealer who needs to move that one more unit to hit a volume bonus and is willing to make no money, or even lose money, to make the deal.
How do the numbers in MA look for 24 months and 10k per year for a 2015 SXL? Would the extra lease cash make it a better deal? Chances are I might buy the car at the end of the lease so is the 2 year a better move? Also, one dealer offered me a 500 dollar incentive for being a VW owner and then another 500 for actually trading it in. Are conquest and competitive incentives valid this month?

for you: added another 500 for owner loyalty, changed tax rate to 7%, payment went down to 397/mo for 24 months
8000 bonus cash is taxable (+560)
i also added 325 for doc fee + dmv/reg; not sure what you used for that
