Camry V4 LE or SE with following options

I am Looking to buy Camry 2007 V4 either LE or SE in NY/NJ/CT/PA Area with following options
    Exterior Color preference Grey
Interior Color preference Dark Charcoal or Ash

VSC (Vehicle Stability control) Must have
WB (Alloy Wheels) Prefer to have it
EJ (Upgraded Sound system) Nice to have
    EC (Mirror) Nice to have
    Leather Nice to have

I don't care about rest of the stuff

Any idea what should be the realistic price fro it ?
I think LE with above option minus leather should cost about 21K + TTL
and SE should be 21.5K + 1K for leather +TTL

Does it make difference to place order vs. buying from available inventory.
    Any recommendations...

I bought my 07 Camry LE V6 in NYC for $22,507 plus tax and ttl fee. I tried to have the dealer to match the carsdirect's price for $22,407, he rejected, and wanted more, so I gave him an extra $100 for the car. carsdirect link

Oh btw, just got my car installed the JDM HID. ^-^

Anyone looking to buy a Camry in South Florida should check in with me. I found a salesperson that is really great - no games - gave me the price on the Camry that I had decided I would pay and is 'ordering' me what I want. I tried 10 other sales people from 5 different dealerships in the area. Even one that I bought a 4Runner from last year. And I was told NO discounts at all. Also many dealers in this area are charging an extra fee on top of MSRP.

    Toyota of Kirkland, WA.

Had 4 quotes of $250 - $500 over dealer invoice.

I've posted it before on the Camry boards.

if i get $20k for trade-in and the new car i want to purchase is $30k would i only have to pay tax on the difference ($10k) ?

i was told that this was true, but i have to confirm...

also, can anyone chime in on my previous post?

Dealers trade cars to get the one their customer wants.

My sister just got her Sonata from a dealer that traded for another Sonata at a dealer 15 miles away.

My order price would have been the same as the one out of stock that happened to come in the day I was to order.

The easiest thing for the dealer to do is to sell you what's on the lot.

Don't know about your Sales Tax question as I have never traded a car in. It was always a losing proposition versus selling myself beside the fact that it clouds the true cost of the new vehicle.

That's true in some states, but I don't know about all of them. I thought it was state specific. Where are you located?

I just bought a 2007 Camry LE in Blue Ribbon Metallic tonight. The only added items was a pinstripe and mud flaps. I paid 18,500 out the door after allowing 2000 for my trade. Was this a good deal?
I am picking it up Friday, I can't wait! :P
  • fritzafraniacfritzafraniac Member Posts: 1
Was this including tax & tags? I got a quote for the total amount (tax & tags) of a LE Camry, V6 to be in the $24,800 range.
  • njeraldnjerald Member Posts: 689
    Who the heck knows????

Depends on how much they made on your trade in and what your taxes and license are.

Thanks to all who replied about Ohio dealers. I ended up faxing all the dealers in the area with my list of specs and just did a deal with Joseph Toyota of Cincinnati at invoice for a 2007 XLE V6; I'm quite pleased with the deal.

Looking at a 2007 Camry XLE 4 cyl., told that invoice is $23800, and got an OTD price just over $25k. Have not discussed financing yet. Thinking of putting 20% down and seeing what rate they offer at the dealership (Cobb County Toyota, in Georgia) and wondering what to expect from the financing department. Help.
  • dolphingirl3dolphingirl3 Member Posts: 3
Yes that was including tax and tags. It was not V6 though and I was allowed $2000 for my trade that came off the bottom line.
  • dolphingirl3dolphingirl3 Member Posts: 3
Well I don't know how much they will make off my trade but I don't think it will be much. It was a 95 Jeep Cherokee and they allowed $2000 for it that came off the bottom line. I did the figures and my tax and tags were about $1500.

Quote for an XLE 4 cyl with heated leather, traction control and premium accessory package - $25,478.00 before taxes, title, doc fee etc.

Edmunds invoice - $ 24,325. About the same as Fitzmall in Maryland too. Has anyone gotten a better deal in the NYC/NJ/PA area?
  • alamocityalamocity Member Posts: 680
Where in Texas did you get that kind of deal on a 07 Camry LE? The dealers in San Antonio are not going below 20,000.00 for the LE model (5 speed) and21,000.00 for the automatic so definitely would be curious to learn where you purchased your Camry at.
  • littlejohn600littlejohn600 Member Posts: 80
Not a bad price on a $27,703 car with an actual invoice of $24,807.
Please note that the Edmund Invoice listing does not cover the TDA. In the Southeast this fee is called "Administrative" at $672.

I got mine from Stewart in Lake Park (West Palm Beach). I am getting it for $1200 over invoice. Don't go through the internet. My reply when I tried internet was that they don't discount.
  • krae13937krae13937 Member Posts: 6
    Hi,
You are in the same general area as I am. I am in FL. I got my SE V6 at about $1200 over invoice, so we are in the same range. I think going with your own bank as far as financing can often be beneficial. Try that route first and then compare to what Toyota will offer. I have a high credit score number and have never been given a good financing percentage through any dealer. Have always gone through my local bank.

Charles Mound, Austin, TX, advertised this on TV and Newspaper, 2007 Camry LE 4 cylinder $18,999 A/T. They have many at this price.

    See my old post.
  • alamocityalamocity Member Posts: 680
Thanks for the information, plan on calling the local Toyota dealers and if they are unable to match will drive up to Austin.

Anybody have any luck getting a great deal from a St. Louis area dealer. I don't mind buying it in Columbia, MO or Kansas City. Just need to make an invoice deal on a Gold or Silver 2007 Camry XLE
  • martinfmartinf Member Posts: 121
You won't need to go to Austin, TX. Toyota of Orange (Orange County, CA), Mossy Toyota (San Diego), Toyota of Carlsbad (Carlsbad, North County San Diego), Kearny Mesa Toyota (San Diego), Wondries Toyota (Alhambra, CA) will all do the deal for $18,996 or maybe even a little less. Toyota of Mechanicsville, VA has the best pricing on the Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty. Just look them up on the net and call the finance department. They do it all the time for a LOT LESS than the retail list price on the warranty. Good luck! It is a great car!
  • alamocityalamocity Member Posts: 680
Thanks for the information but since I live in San Antonio Austin would be a whole lot closer than San Diego is.

I'm looking to buy an SE V6 with all options & leather but without navigation.

So far dealer quotes via the internet are coming in at $27.3, $27.6, $27.9. Nobody seems to want to budge on the price. But someone posted they paid $26.5 Anyone else shopping? What are you finding in terms of dealer's pricing? Dealer invoice is $25.8 including dest.charge.
  • dannyht2005dannyht2005 Member Posts: 6
The lowest quote I got is from San Francisco Toyota for $26.6.

Has anyone seen an SE without a sunroof? I've ruled out the XLE because the headroom with the sunroof is tight and I want a split rear seat, not a pass through.

All the models listed at Fitzmall and Koons have the sunroof. My conversations with the NJ/PA sales people so far make it seem that it is difficult to order a car without certain options because "they are made that way". I don't believe it.

By the way, to the poster who had trouble finding the options at Koons, click on the listing of the car, the next screen has tabs to the left including one for options. Click on that tab for the option list.
  • njeraldnjerald Member Posts: 689
Try more dealers!!!! go to a buying service!!!

It only takes a few minutes to request more quotes. You make have to drive 75-100 miles to p/u the car..

If you don't want to do that, buy or don't buy from existing quotes.

I get $25,944 with mats, (all the options except NAV) for a manufacturer's invoice price. Add advertising of about $500 on the West Coast so ~$300 over that total dealer invoice would be $26.8. W/o the floor mats $26.6-26.7.
  • bigd58bigd58 Member Posts: 39
I think all of us who want a loaded SE are all in the same boat. Definitely with ya, have no desire for the sunroof, especially when we'll have to add nearly a grand to the price. If anyone out there does find a JBL equipped SE w/o a sunroof, yes, please let us know.
  • bigd58bigd58 Member Posts: 39
When I'm ready to buy later on this summer, I'm seriously considering CarBargains. The concept sounds great, at least on paper. The only problem is, once you've laid down your money, you're pretty much committed, unless you walk away in which case you'd be $200 in the hole when you try again. It's definitely a risk, but for someone like myself who'd rather get major dental work done than spend 4-5 hours or more haggling with dealers, it may be a risk worth taking.

I just bought an SE V6 here in Canada and it is W/O the sunroof! The down side is that there is no leather but the SE upgraded fabric is more than adequate. Here in Canada, you can only buy the SE V6 2 ways.
This is the first car since my 1987 MAxima SE that does NOT have a sunroof. All of the cars in between, I have been forced to buy a sunroof to get some option that I really wanted.
Anyway, have NOT taken delivery yet but after driiving the demo, it was an easy decision. I currently own a G35 Sedan(and I am keeping it) and my wife just said BUY it!
    Have a great day

    >I got this internet quote for 2007 Camry LE in Chicago.
    >Price: $19,250
    >Out of door price: $21,203

I finally got my camry for this price I mentioned earlier. Luckily they didn't try to add anything to this. They did try to sell me the extended warranty and other useless stuff, but I didn't take it.

I didn't see this mentioned on this forum, so I think I should say it. I took a capital one loan (they call it blank check) to the dealer's place. I finally chose the dealer's financing, but I think the capital one thing helped me get a better rate. In any case, it took the uncertainty out of financing. I would recommend it.

Thanks to everybody who replied to my questions. I think I easily saved a couple of thousand because of this forum. I can't even imagine buying a car before there was internet.

In case anybody's interested to know where I got my car from - it is Grossinger city toyota in Chicago. I would recommend getting quote on the emails only.

(My car - 4 cyl, 2007 Camry LE, no options except floor mats, Aloe Green)

I think you got a very nice deal. Could you list what options your car came with?
    Thanks

SE models don't have a split rear seat.

Why not try buyatoyota.com and indicate your zip code and then price out the vehicle in the build a toyota section.

In N. CA all SEs come equipped with the sunroof package.

What are you guys paying for the alloy wheel option on your LE's?? The dealer told me it is about $400 each. Is this accurate?

I bought a 2007 titanium Camry CE Auto. in Southern California for $18,600, $20,377 out-the-door. The only option I got was the floor/trunk mat set, which the dealer insisted I had to buy with the car. The dealer said they would sell me the car at invoice for $18,661 but their invoice was $290 above Edmunds' invoice (with the mats) and they couldn't explain where the difference came from. We finally agreed on $18,600.

I just bought a 2007 Camry XLE V6 for 26285 before tax, tags, and license. It was the only 2007 Camry V6 they had. :shades:

Guill, Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I have to try to get an LE with the options I want most.

I purchased a Camry LE from Wolfe Toyota. They had the best deal on the LE. While it may be different on the XLE I would give them a try.
