I cannot believe you would come on this forum and lie about getting the deal you received. College grad programs are just for getting a better approval with little to no credit, they have NOTHING to do with bonus cash or other special programs. Infiniti isn't like Ford or GM, they don't offer bonus cash with their CG plans, nice try. lol

I laugh because for some reason everyone feels the need to outdo the next guy, and god forbid another person actually gets a car for $200 cheaper. I have an Infiniti G37 and Fx50. I paid fair market value of Sticker for both cars, because I can afford to with out stretching obove my life style to own them. I was the first to have them and don't regret my choices for whenever I need help with the nav or blue tooth I don't even have to ask for assistance.

As the saying goes: "You don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", especially when you have sign up to do it. Did you ever think that maybe the salesman was giving him the salesman BS by telling him he was getting special financing for being a college grad?

Thanks though for paying sticker on your cars. It helps us that are not going to pay sticker work better deals since the dealer knows he will have people like you walk on the lot.

Thanks for joining up and sharing your experience with us...

Actually, the main point of the Prices Paid forums is to share information, so that our members can negotiate the best deal possible. That way, they have more money to spend on their CarSpace membership fees.

It would be great if you could share the dealership name where you paid sticker for two Infinitis... Now that they have made their month, some of our other members could probably get a good deal there!

I have been following this forum for some time and it has been very helpful, so thanks to all who have shared their experiences. I can get an Acura TSX (toast with no navi.) on an employee purchase (my brother works for Honda R&D) price of 26K even. but am convinced the G35 is a superior car, so I am working hard to get the best deal possible so my husband doesn't think I am spending $ just for the fun of it.

I just received a quote of $30,198 on a G35 Journey with premium package. This includes the 2K cash but no loyalty money and does not include tax (3.17 %) tags ($65) processing ($299) and freight ($715) for a grand total of $32,169. So what do you experts think, good deal or no? I am prepared to pull the trigger on this tomorrow or wait until the end of the month.

Also, am I wrong in thinking the 1k in loyalty cash means Infiniti may have another 1k to throw at the "rest of us" at some point in the near future?
  • peekay1peekay1 Member Posts: 75
    Irishpony:

It's not a bad deal at all. Based on my calculations it looks like a few bucks less than invoice:

    $30,076 vehicle invoice
    $2,155 prem package invoice
    $32,231 total invoice (per Edmunds)

So, less your $2k marketing support that puts you at $30,231 before taxes and fees.

They may be making money on the 'processing' line item, so I'd ask to find out what's included in this 'processing' fee.

Also, I agree, the G35 is a superior car to the TSX. Actually, I think it's superior to the TL in most respects.

I wish I could help you with the loyalty cash question, but I don't know if Infiniti will be throwing more incentives in the future.

The TSX and the G35 are not even in the same class. If you can swing the G35 over a TSX don't even think twice about it. After all the TSX is quite literally an Accord, as that is what it is sold as in Europe.

With regards to getting a TL over a G35, still no comparison. I had an 05 G35 for three years. My lease was up so I started searching for a new car. There are smoking deals on TL's right now since they are coming out with a new model for 09. I had a lease deal for $380 a month with $600 down. I test drove a friend's brand new TL for 10 minutes and knew it was not for me. Three days later I leased a new G35 that cost me considerably more then the TL and I don't regret it a bit.

I just got a call from my dealer today (8/21/2008) stating that IFS has just introduced 0.9% APR financing on the G35s up to 60 months. I was leaning towards leasing, but with the lending rate getting better by a point, I think I will purchase the G35.

My question is this: Does IFS require a down payment of any kind on its special financing rates or are they willing to finance 100% of the cost (including taxes, doc fees, etc)?

    Thanks.

I dealt with Akeem in sales and Chad in financing. Apparently they're the largest volume Infiniti dealership in Texas (or was it the country?).. they beat out the next lowest price for my car between Dallas Austin and Houston by 1500 ... gotta say though, given how low the price was, I was expecting the same sleezy salesmen in North Houston Infiniti... but they were great - professional, personal (Since I was running late coming from Houston, they kept their doors open past closing, and ended up staying there 3 hours after close), and not at all pushy.

It didn't matter to me, but they don't include some of the dealer add ons that some of the others do - you may not be getting wheel locks, illuminated kick plates, etc...
  • deepvdeepv Member Posts: 8
Wow... totally misread me. I have better things to do than to inflate my ego on a forum.

I was just posting my experiences for everyone else, especially the guys in texas that are wondering what kind of deals they can get locally. I spent 3 weeks considering my options, and if I can save the next guy some time by helping them out then I will.

I took the 2k cash instead of the special 1.9% APR they were offering - bringing my price before TTL to 31k. When it came time to finance the deal, they weren't able to get me anything below 12% (since I recently graduated, I had a 'thin file'). Mentioned that I recently graduated, and the finance guy said they have special financing for college grads. I agree, I hadn't heard of this before, generally you'll get $500 cash, but even that's only for entry level cars, not a g35. Finance guy came back the next day saying he was able to get me approved for the financing deal, as long as I can provide proof of my income.

Anyways, it's not like it matters to me whether I convince you or not, judging by your antagonistic nature, kyfdx was probably right in tagging you as a dealer. I was just posting my deal to help out everyone else out there.

Just thought I'd share b/c this has been such a helpful forum. Probably not the BEST deal out there, but decent. I dealt with Infiniti of Lisle here in the Chicagoland area and they were very above board in everything. I was in and out of the finance office in about 7 minutes (and that was b/c I was skeptically reviewing everything I was signing).

Plat. Graph G35 Journey Sport Pkg, Prem Pkg, Cargo Net
    MSRP - $37,675
    Invoice $34,464

    Sell Price $34,500
    Doc Fee $175
    Tax (7.25%) $2,513.94
    Lic/Reg $143
    Loyalty ($1,000)
    TOTAL $36,331.94

Took advantage of the 0.9% APR for 60mos they are offering and my payment is at $619.50/mo. Was planning on leasing, but the cost of money is so low, I couldn't pass it up. I literally didn't put any money down...walked in, and drove off with the car without putting a penny down.

Now to buy a set of winter wheels!!!

Hello all again, I just got a call from a local Infiniti dealer and the salesman told me that Infiniti is now offering $1,000 in "Conquest" cash they just need to get a photocopy of my old car registration to show I am moving to Infiniti from another brand. Maybe this is just bs, but I will see later today. It may answer my question about "Loyalty" cash being available for the rest of us...

New offer on an 08 Journey with the premium package is 29,695 (this includes both the 2k original cash and new conquest cash) but does not include tax (3.17 percent) or freight ($815).

Have seen a G37 Jouney internet ad for 34.545 MSRP 36415
Thanks to Edmonds it looks like invoice is 33595. Dealer is out of blk on blk, but does have same car with moonroof blk on blk. Has any body had any luck getting dealer to sell the car with moonroof at close to invoice of car without moonroof. I am in SoCal. I would appreciate any advice that someone can offer.

Have you tried Infiniti of Mission Viejo? They offered me such a smoking deal that it almost made me drive from Phoenix to lease from them. Part of me wishes I had since I would have saved close to $2000 during the term of the lease.

Thank you I will call them. I have been talking to Infiniti Tustin. I have been using the Infiniti payment estimator on their website, is this accurate?
  • xoveyxovey Member Posts: 7
Which so cal dealer quoted you that price? I'm also looking for a g35 with the same configuration, premium ,nav, splash guards and cargo net. Whats the current market price?
  • arod3arod3 Member Posts: 4
Here's the deal I got from a local dealership in Michigan. 08' G35x w/ premium for $34,900, minus $1,000 (conquest) plus TTL. I did use their 0.9% financing as well. Not sure if I got a very great deal or not but $1,000 under invoice and .9% financing I can live with.

Here's the kicker. The sales man and I agreed on invoice price but he never told me about the $1,000 conquest cash. My girlfriend and I previously owned an Acura TL-S but it was in her name only. When I went to purchase the infinity the salesman kept pushing me to have her name on the car as well but never told me why. I really didn't care that much so I went along with it since we were transferring a plate from the TL (in her name). While we were in closing the sales price kept coming up with $1,000 more than we had agreed upon but $1,000 more than my down payment. I finally pushed him on it and got him to pass the conquest cash onto us which put us at $1,000 under invoice. The sales man actually never told me about the extra incentive and was going to try to push it past me at closing.

I think if I ever decide to get another Infiniti it will definitely not be at that dealership.

    Love the car though!
  • arod3arod3 Member Posts: 4
One more thing about that last post. Right before I rolled out of the dealership, the sales man actually had the guts to ask me not to mention the omission of the $1,000 rebate when they called about the customer satisfaction survey in about a month. What an a-hole!! This guy tried to cheat me the whole way. The dealership was closed by the time the delivery was over so no one else was there besides us, but I think I'll be calling the sales manager soon to complain. As you can tell, I'm a little bitter about the whole experience. Acura = best buying experience. Infinity = worst buying experience. The dealership is Pfeiffer Infiniti in Grand Rapids. Still love the car though!!

i spent the morning and early afternoon at my local dealership negotiating and testing the new g37. The sticker on the car was 39,850 and the invoice was 35,900. i told them that i wanted the car for the 35900 minus the 1000 conquest cash, then the 2000 bonus cash the sales man told me about. and then i wanted the .9% apr financing on the 32900. They told me that they would not give me the bonus cash and the financing i could only use 1 of them. so my question is has anyone on here gotten the rebate the conquest cash and the financing? or was the dealership actually telling the truth when they said they couldnt do it
  • 1nickatnite11nickatnite1 Member Posts: 16
they're not lying to you, if you read the terms you may only combine the conquest cash with the special apr financing. These two can't be combined with the marketing support of $2000.
  • buddyleee5buddyleee5 Member Posts: 3
yeah but my question is are the dealers combining them due to lack of sales?
  • dfwhondadfwhonda Member Posts: 45
I'm considering the above car, of which there are only 3 in TX (or so I'm told) because of the manual tranny. First offer from dealer is below for a car with premium package but no navigation. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    MSRP: $36,635
    Selling Price: $35,435
Invoice: about $33,500 on Edmunds, with TMV being $200 under invoice for these models.

Dealer offering conquest rebate of $1,000 with 0.9% financing. If anyone knows of any other incentives I missing out on, please let me know. I think the selling price for this vehicle should be below invoice considering the G37 sedan will hit dealers soon (I think), but haven't responded to initial offer just yet.
  • dat2dat2 Member Posts: 251
I have no recent experience, but that seems overpriced to me. With the G37 on the doorstep they should be selling these at invoice or below, minus rebates. Either hold out for the G37 (worth waiting for) or try to get them to come off at least another grand. Good luck!
  • arod3arod3 Member Posts: 4
    dfwhonda

There is no reason to pay anything over invoice minus conquest. You do have the option of the .9% financing or the $2,000 rebate as well. I called several dealerships before I bought mine this past week and they all said they would sell for invoice.
  • dfwhondadfwhonda Member Posts: 45
Thanks for the input. So if invoice is $33,500 in my case, I should be shooting for $32,500 (invoice - conquest cash), right? Sounds good to me. I guess I'll find out tomorrow if the dealer will hold out on me due to the scarcity of manual transmission G35s in TX.
  • mvs1mvs1 Member Posts: 462
From the posts on this forum and my experience, Infiniti dealers have been dealing at or below invoice for quite some time now.

A manual transmission G35 may be scarce, and there's a reason, most buyers opt for the auto tranny.

Stick with your offer of invoice minus the rebate. Extend your search further to locate the vehicle you want.
  • dfwhondadfwhonda Member Posts: 45
I know most buyers opt for a auto, but is there more to it than that? I've read a few less than glowing reviews about the G35 manual tranny, but the 2008 version which I drove seemed fine to me. May be not as buttery smooth as a 335i, but BMW's gotta have some reason to charge $9k+ more for a 335i, right?
  • stkntrafficstkntraffic Member Posts: 172
That's funny. A couple of years ago I was shopping for the same car in Austin and got the same story- only 2 manual tranny sedans in all of Texas. The Austin dealer was willing to have one shipped in, but they were going to stick me with all of the "BS" from the original dealer (lojack, paint sealant and I forget what else). I decided to pass, and ended up with a MazdaSpeed6 instead.
  • dfwhondadfwhonda Member Posts: 45
Interesting. Are you happy with your selection of the Mazdaspeed 6? I ask because one of the other cars I've considered and test driven is a Mazdaspeed 3 (which I think has the same turbo-4 cranking out 265 horses as your Mazdaspeed 6). I know it's in a different class than the G35, but the below $25k price caught my eye.

And I can't say I'm surprised about the lack of manual transmissions here in Texas. Most people I've talked to think they are a pain in the rear, and consider me a weirdo for preferring to drive one. Oh well.
  • stkntrafficstkntraffic Member Posts: 172
Overall I'm pretty happy. I've had it nearly 2 years and 22K miles, no mechanical problems. The MS6 is AWD, but yeah it's the same engine as the MS3, and the turbo is a hoot to drive. What I'm not impressed with is the paint (very easy to chip), the sheetmetal is thin (very easy to ding), etc. I would give the edge to Infiniti on quality of materials.

    dfwhonda:

Here in the Chicagoland area there is only one 6MT available...it was in liquid platinum, had prem/nav/tech and spoiler (personally, not a fan of the sedan spoiler). The dealer was offering it to me for $250 over invoice (which I would have taken, had I not bought a g35 journey prem/sport a day earlier).

    Here's the breakdown:

    MSRP - $40,115
    Invoice - $36,591
    Sell Price - $36,841

Moral of the story...I think you can do better on the deal that you're being offered.

Here's a g35driver.com forum discussion that addresses the 6MT for 2008. Also, I remember reading an article where they were basically stating that Infiniti had finally gotten the manual tranny right on the G35 in 2008.

    http://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-07/228352-2008-sedan-6mt-concern-2.html

    Good luck!

PK1, thanks for the info. I'm still in the process of negotiating with the dealer, and for all I know the car may get sold before I get my act together. Thanks also for the link to the '08 manual tranny reviews. I recall reading the same thing about the '08 upgrade, and I didn't have a problem driving it after one or two starts. Quite enjoyable, actually.

Anyone know what's been the HIGHEST cash rebate on the G series Infiniti Coupe? Thanks. I'm waiting on the possible purchase of an 08' G37 Infiniti Coupe. And I think at a $41K sticker there will be something HIGHER than the current $2K marketing support.

So I got the dealership here in Austin down to $34,985.62 OTD for a 08 with premium and sports package plus a spoiler. Is that a good deal?
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
OTD is a worthless number for members here to judge since every state and/or city has a different OTD number. You need to show the selling price of the car and relate it to the invoice price of the car.

Does anyone know when the $1,000 rebate for conquest cash came out? Was it last week Thursday when they lowered their financing from 1.9% to .9%? Or is this an ongoing promotion of theirs. Also, one dealer had up to $3,000 conquest cash. Is it $1,000 for the G, $2,000 for the M......Or does the amount of conquest cash have to do with the previous vehicle you owned, ie: more if you're coming from Acura and less if you're coming from Chevy?
  • 1nickatnite11nickatnite1 Member Posts: 16
For the G35 the conquest is $1000 and it did come out last week within days of the APR dropping from 1.9% to .9%. The conquest cash doesn't change with brands, you could be coming from a BMW or a Kia and it would still be $1000.
  • 1nickatnite11nickatnite1 Member Posts: 16
    Hi,

I'm being offered $35415 - $1000 (conquest) = $34415 + TTL for an 08 G35 with Premium, Navigation, and Technology packages. Do you guys think this is a good deal? Edmunds invoice has it around $35847.

    Thanks!
  • deepvdeepv Member Posts: 8
You may be able to go a little bit lower, but I'm not sure how much the spoiler and sports package comes out to. I got my g35 + premium from Austin Infiniti for 31 + TTL about a wk ago. Throw in the 1k conquest cash that came out since then, and you should be paying close to 30k + sports(1.5k?) + spoiler(.5k?) + TTL ~ 34k?
  • lakeshor_junkylakeshor_junky Member Posts: 17
Any where near Houston? I got a price of $35K @ .9% for just exaclty those packages for a demo. It did have 5K miles on it though but the MSRP for that car was $41,330. FYI.
  • twowheelertwowheeler Member Posts: 89
Deepv, was that with the special financing or the dealer cash? I was offered 32k for g35 + premium with special financing or 30k w/o. But that was about 2 weeks ago. I would think the deals are a little better now, especially with the conquest and 0.9% or 3k. I'm in SoCal.
  • ladino1ladino1 Member Posts: 6
I am being offered a 2007 certified G35 Sedan. Premium and Sports Pkg, Navigation,5k miles for 32k, +$925 for the certification +TTL. Do you think I can do better? 1.9% financing.
  • livinlarge215livinlarge215 Member Posts: 4
I have an offer (email) for a 2008 Infiniti G35 Sedan w/Premium, Nav, Sport packages for:

    Price 34,743
    Destination + 765
    Doc Fee + 299
    Tax (6%) + 2,178.42
    OTD = 37,995.42

Also said if I owned any car I can also get another 1,000 off. Specifically told dealer that I wanted to use the .9% financing. So hopefully this is the price factoring in the eligible incentives.

I think I can do a little better. What do you think?

    Is this a good price?
