I just received some quotes for the 06 MDX in Philly area.

    Prem - $31,070
    Touring - $33,617
    Touring with Navi - $36,095

They look good according to the other posts. Is it worth the extra $ to upgrade?

Anyone in the Saint Louis area looking to purchase a new MDX with NAV/DVD in the saint louis area? I have been waiting for some time now and hoping that with the current incentives that the dealers are willing to give some better quotes. Anyone willing to share their experience in the area would be appreciated.

I am also in Philly and looking for a decent car.
I just visit Sussman and got a quote for $30,850 (Prem).

If you make it better, please leave a message here.

What dealership in Philly was this? This price includes destination too, right?

    Thanks
  • jonl2jonl2 Member Posts: 2
The dealer was Tischer Acura of Laurel, MD
  • tombonztombonz Member Posts: 16
This was montgomeryville acura with the above prices.
    Yes it included destination.

If anyone has better prices let me know....Thanks! I think I'd like the touring package...
  • tombonztombonz Member Posts: 16
could you do me a favor and ask your contact at sussman what they want for the touring and for the touring with Navi?? I asked and was given a much higher price for the prem than you mentioned.

I think I can do better, but please let me know what you all think.

$38,400 for Touring with Navi/DVD with 52% residual and .00225 money factor. I was hoping to get the price closer to $37,000--any possibility?
  • mysterymystery Member Posts: 5
That is the same thing that I am hoping for, but it looks like right now the dealerships are hoping to get there hands on part of that $2500. I know that getting the price to $37000 the dealership is still making money.

With the new incentive info in hand I got quoted $36,700 (including Dest, wheel locks, tint & door guards) for an 06 MDX with Tour & Nav. I was happy with this number and went ahead with the purchase. Happy to officially have pulled the trigger as I had been looking for a while. Had to sit there through the "after sale" stuff for a while, but made it outta there with no extra purchases. Thanks to all on this board for their help and advice. Let me know if you have questions.
  • brooklynrockbrooklynrock Member Posts: 20
Wow--that's amazing. I'm jealous. What did their quote start at?
  • mysterymystery Member Posts: 5
Good job, months ago the best that I had seen others getting was 37,600. and that wasn't with all the options that you got. So good job, now if I could find a dealer willing to do that.
  • mdxer6mdxer6 Member Posts: 8
Quote started at $38,300 from the internet sales manager. Kept working on the numbers with him and then made sure he didn't charge me for the tint, locks...etc. I started the negotiating about 10 days ago and then after i read that the incentives had gone up in the last few days for them to move the vehicles, i really layed into him to give me a better deal. Got it done with a good amount for my trade too. Sales guy really did want to make the sale and I could tell so I figured I could push it.
  • mdxer6mdxer6 Member Posts: 8
Also wanted to say to clarify that the Tint, locks, guards were already on the car so I made sure to specify I didn't ask for them to be put on. This dealer seemed to have all their MDX's with these options on them so it wasn't something I added after the deal. Just made sure with him I wasn't getting charged for it as their sticker price did have them added on the price tag.

Acura 101 just gave me a quote on a touring with Nav for 35,529 including dest.
  • seifseif Member Posts: 48
I am in NYC (north jersey works, too)and looking to find out what people have been paying for MDX leases (36 month, 12k). I am ready to get it done probably tomorrow if the deal is right.

One dealer, Paragon Acura, sent me something for the Fully Loaded '06 MDX (nav/dvd etc.) claiming "$7000 off MSRP" of $44815. They said it is even negotiable from there. I have not talked lease yet - I just want to work on the car price first then get into payment talk.

Also, I am not married to the "loaded" model. If it is a great deal I may take it but am probably leaning towards just NAV or no NAV.

Anybody have any quotes? Ideas? Help?

    Anything is appreciated.
  • steve777steve777 Member Posts: 41
The quote I got was 35k for the touring before the incentive increased to $2500.

I'm assuming they can be had for $33.5K now.
  • rochestermn1rochestermn1 Member Posts: 3
The most I have gotten is $34100 for touring in the Twin cities area.

The other 2 dealers are still at 34900.
  • huellinghuelling Member Posts: 8
How much did you pay for the MDX at where? I am in the bay area and trying to find a 2006 MDX fully loaded. Thanks
  • pharm1pharm1 Member Posts: 5
Is there going to be a 2007 MDX? Or is there only going to be a RDX? I saw on some web site that they talk about the 2007 RDX, but nothing about a 2007 MDX? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  • tombonztombonz Member Posts: 16
there is a 07 redesign due out in the fall, thus the $2500 marketing incentive for the 06 mdx
  • chesterzorrochesterzorro Member Posts: 3
How much more is the money factor for a corporate lease - I'd like to lease my MDX through my business. Do they bump the money factor without the first month's payment up front (like they do for a consumer lease)? Is the residual value any different for a corporate lease?

Am I correct in that my lease payment can be calculated by:

[(Total Price + Tax + Fees) - (Residual Value and Downpayment)] x Money Factor

    Thanks!
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 266,942
(Cap cost - Residual)/ Term = Monthly depreciation
(Cap cost + Residual) X Money Factor = Monthly finance charge.

Monthly depreciation + Monthly finance charge + tax = Monthly payment

Just noticed that yours wasn't with RES, so my comments are a little off. The best price that I had seen on here for an MDX with NAV/RES is 37,600. I am assuming the price should be lower now with current incentives.

I am shopping in the same area and got a few quotes from dealers from LI/Westchester/NJ. From what it seems like, you should be around 36K for MDX w/touring/navi. If you act like you know what you are talking about - and you do :) - you can spare some time by avoiding talking silly deals... I had one dealer quoting 36,200 within 5 min. At this point I am convinced that holding out longer will get you better deals(if you have more than one color you could live with), but as wonderful NJ governor is raising sales tax this Saturday, I am sure I'll go for one of the quoted deals. The lowest I have so far: 35,800

    What is Acura 101?

Is any one having luck with dealer kicking in some/all of the $2,500 for base or touring model?
  • steve777steve777 Member Posts: 41
Which dealers did you get quotes of 36k and lower from?
  • brooklynrockbrooklynrock Member Posts: 20
Wow--who quoted you $36,200 and $35,800? I would be ready to buy at that price.
  • huellinghuelling Member Posts: 8
Is there anyone who get a deepen quote from a bay area dealer for 2006 MDX yet?
  • caoyijiancaoyijian Member Posts: 16
Closed a deal of $37740 for touring, Nav and RES in Acura of Valley Stream in Long Island, NY. But color selection is limited.
    Hope this helps.
  • brooklynrockbrooklynrock Member Posts: 20
That's about the lowest I'm getting quoted. Dealers are not being receptive to me trying to get them down to the neighborhood of $36K.
  • playstationplaystation Member Posts: 15
Acura 101 is a dealership in So Cal. It's in calabasas
  • tombonztombonz Member Posts: 16
I was just quoted $37,442 which includes destination.

I told the sales mgr I have seen posts for the same vechicle at $36.7k. He replied that's impossible.

Anyone who has gotten the $36.7......u think they took it out of your trade?

First of all, this Forum has been great in gaining insight regarding the MDX, getting feedback, pricing, incentives, and different dealerships. What a great resource!

Question: I am going to purchase a 06' MDX and a friend is to buy one also. It appears to make sense to purchase them together to hopefully obtain stronger buying power and to provide the salesperson with better sales numbers - however would the salesperson have more flexibility in cutting prices in dealing with us on individual car sales??

Also FYI, I have not seen much on this forum regarding the 2.9% financing they advertised on TV regarding the MDX.

    Thanks in advance!!

IMO, group deals rarely get you anywhere.. You know how difficult car buying is, when you are the only decision maker? Now, multiply X 2..

On top of all the pressure you normally feel, you'll have the added pressure of your partner, who may either want to make a deal that you aren't comfortable with, or won't want to make a deal at a number you like..

Having two buyers just gives the dealer another avenue to complicate and confuse....

It might excite your salesperson, but to the sales manager and dealership? Two sales is no big deal..

    regards,
    kyfdx

$33,500 including destination sounds like an excellent deal. Can you share with me which Acura dealership in NJ provided you with that price? I also live in NJ and looking to purchase an '06 MDX Touring with Navigation. I would be interested in talking with the dealership you received your deal at. Also, did you happen to receive any quotes or negotiate on the Touring Package with NAV.

    Thanks....

Hey the dealer is Mongomeryville Acura outside of Philly.
  • brooklynrockbrooklynrock Member Posts: 20
Why $2000 out of pocket if tax is included in payment?
  • seifseif Member Posts: 48
they told me $1300 for fees etc. and worked the numbers then I said I could put down an additional $700 to bring payment down a little bit. i don't know if i will go that route, though.

Acura of Manhattan just gave me:

    Touring
    $761.33 due at signing
    $528/month (incl. taxes, bank fee)

    Premium
    $710.19 due
    $477.69/month

    good? bad? any thoughts?
