Somehow it popped up when signing up for edmunds.com price promise. I am not sure what prompted it. The certificate expires on August 31.

Does anyone have info if Honda will be increasing any accord incentives after September 7?

I think the incentives are already at maximum. I've never seen them this high that I can recall. Also, many dealers are beginning to run low on their inventories of 2015s....

I agree with you. I suspect the killer deals folks have been getting are going to go away very soon, as supplies dwindle and dealers can hold out for a bit more money on the leftover '15's.

Honda incentives are good through 9/7, so if you're in the market, now is the time to make a deal.

    carhobby1,

You got a great OTD price. Good for you. I am still looking for the "$500 Honda Accord preferred Customer offer " Ad :-)

jerry2k2, Goto Edmunds.com and search for Honda Accord 2015 model on the first screen when you go into Edmunds website. You will see different Ad poping up on the screen. You might see it immediately or have t0 refresh few times. One of them will be like this..."Q: What is the most durable longest lasting car in its class & gets you an extra $500* special offer?" and there will be three option and "Get Answer". When you click on that it takes you to Honda Finance website and show you an unique offer code with $500 discount. Print it and take it to the dealer. If you have AdBlock, please allow it for this site.

If this is a non-navi, I think you might get an EXL for less right now, depending on your market. Have you sent emails with this price to other Honda dealers, asking if they can beat it?

    brian125,

starting to shop 2015 Accord LX in Tennessee. So far best price:

    Vehicle: $19,187
    doc fees: $598
    taxes: $1620.70

    otd: $21,405.70

i would like to get to $20k or under OTD. Do u think this is possible if I wait until end of the month?
Your deal is : $2599 below invoice minus 598 doc = 2001 below invoice. Another $1400 off vehicle price will not happen. If you play hardball and negotiate thru till months end you may save a few more dollars. The very high doc fee charge may be your only room for negotiating on this deal. .
Drove home 2015 Accord LX yesterday

    Vehicle: 17,900
    Doc Fee: 599.50
    Sales Tax: 1339.18
    Title Fee: 43

    OTD: $19,881.68

I got the $500 discount/code from this site but am unsure how exactly to use it when I go in to make the purchase. Does the dealer have to know about it or be associated with Edmunds.com? Can't they just refuse it or pretend to not know about it since $500 is kind of a lot when you look at how low they are already selling me the vehicle (around $3100 below invoice on an EX-L). What is the best strategy on getting this discount applied?

After you and dealer have agreed on a price is when you tell them about the manufacture's discount. Pretty simply this cash incentive does not come out of the dealerships profit margin.

Read thru the past 5 or 10 pages here to get pricing and dealer info in your area. Your target price in Socal is :

Low end 1800 below Invoice to as high as 3k below Invoice price. The higher end target price will depend on your negotiating skills and dealers supply.

Subtract your Target price from your desired models Invoice then call and email dealerships letting each dealers Internet manager know....................................... For X price I come down and buy today.

Your price is at the top end of good deals in CA......................................... Make this deal.

Note: ............. If the dest/ charge of $820 was not included in this deal then above deals is what most buyers are getting in CA. on the Accord..

MAKE SURE YOU ASK AGAIN BEFORE GOING TO DEALERSHIP AND BUYING.

No issues on the 2014 Cvt model. . Its a very good vehicle. Try these dealers in VA. I have used a lot of them and sent many buyers to all of them. Some months some of these dealers sell cheaper than other months . Its hit or miss depending on supply and demand and your negotiating skills.

Pohanka, Joyce koons, Valley, Colonial, Priority, Casey, Checkered Flag , Brown

    Good luck

    thanks

    mike

Otd fee's consists of your states tax, dmv fees, and dealers doc fee charge that is the bulk of it . Dealers wont play around with these final numbers. CA doc fee = 80 dollars

    Tax @ 8.5%
    Plus Fees
    OTD $27,968.86

Hey guys couple of the dealerships I've been negotiating with sent me this " Honda just announced  an additional $ 500 off towards the down payment on all accords except the hybrid if financed through Honda "  they call it down payment assistance.
Has anyone heard of this. That's great news to all shoppers if true

yes, I just heard about it today from a dealer via email. No details were provided. I wonder do you have to keep the loan til the end of the terms. or you can prepay the loan without penalty. This is good news nevertheless if you are in the market for an Accord

    Thanks Brian,

I was able to get some movement on pricing and took advantage of the $500 Down Payment Assist that Honda started offering (probably same as the Edmunds coupon) Was not planning to finance, but financed the minimum amount. There is no pre-payment penalty so I will just pay it off immediately. Here are the final numbers (I fudged these a bit to remove my trade info, mainly impacts taxes).

    Price: $24,592
    +Splash / Wheel Locks, installed: $254
    +Tax $1,449
    +Tag fees 142
    +Doc 134
    -Honda DP Assist - 500
    -Dealer Price Match - 250
    OTD $25,821

Dealer used advertising funds to match price of other dealer, so was applied to DP. This was Conicelli Honda. It was a horrible buying experience - took 7 hours to complete the deal, waiting on god knows what since negotiation was completed quickly. I think I probably left some money on the table with my trade, but overall happy with the price for this area. I envy the deals some of you are getting in other parts of the country!

    Guys,

Just got done buying my Accord and think I got one of the best deals out there imho. Here are the details:

2015 Accord EX-L V4 (non navi) with Wheel Locks and all season mats
Sale Price (negotiated through email) = $23,480
    Doc Fee = $279
    Registration/Plates = $135
    MA Taxes = $1484.94
    Total = $25,378.94

The above was financed for 0.9% over 60 months. Here is where it gets interesting. My dealership actually had a $750 rebate for financing the EX-L (both with and without navi). In addition to that, I got them to apply the Edmunds $500 coupon. No mess, no fuss. My finance guy came right back and applied the total $1250 towards my total.

Final OTD = 25,378.94 - $1250 finance rebates = $24,128.94. My monthly payments for 60 months works out to $412 but I fully intend to pay it off within the year to get the most pennies out of my deal! Man am i glad I waited till this weekend!!

Here is the deal I got in Louisville, KY for the 2015 Honda Accord EX Sedan, I4, CVT. I offered $20,500 (incl destination)+TTL. Here is what I received back.

Sale Price: $21,250 (including $820 destination)
    $1,245 KY Taxes
    $479 Doc Fee
    $90 Title Fee
    - $500 (Honda 0.9% Financing downpayment assistance)
    Grand Total of $22,564

I added the all weather floor mats for $140. The doc fees are kinda steep (lowest was $199 in the area). I had a slightly better OTD deal at an out of town dealership, but took this deal to reduce hassle. Thank you all for posting prices and hope this helps someone.

    Looks like a solid deal.

Regarding doc fees, that amount seems to be the norm in states where they aren't capped. I've seen fees as high as $799 in Florida.

I can't believe those doc fees have made it to KY. That's outrageous.

Here is the deal I got in Louisville, KY for the 2015 Honda Accord EX Sedan, I4, CVT. I offered $20,500 (incl destination)+TTL. Here is what I received back.

Sale Price: $21,250 (including $820 destination)
    $1,245 KY Taxes
    $479 Doc Fee
    $90 Title Fee
    - $500 (Honda 0.9% Financing downpayment assistance)
    Grand Total of $22,564

I added the all weather floor mats for $140. The doc fees are kinda steep (lowest was $199 in the area). I had a slightly better OTD deal at an out of town dealership, but took this deal to reduce hassle. Thank you all for posting prices and hope this helps someone.

Good deal. If I may ask, what dealership is this from. As long as you don't mention you salesperson's name, I think it's fine to say the dealer's name. Sam Swope?

No. Sam Swope came at ~$750 higher. This is from Jeff Wyler Dixie Honda. Don Jacobs in lexington also offered a slightly better deal but they wanted to charge me for the mudguards and stripes already in the car. You could probably negotiate a little bit lower. Jeff Wyler offers alternate free oil changes with ANY car you maintain (the salesman made it sound like he was offering to sweeten the deal). Don't go for the polyester protection package (glorified scotch guard). I had a decent buying experience, except for the 4+ hours to get the documents signed and car readied. I bought my last car at Don Jacobs and I got out of there within an hour. If you want the sales person's name at either location, email me guru15@hotmail.com

Unfortunately, seems like it is kinda the norm around the Louisville area except in a few dealerships that charge around $200.

Does your $500 dealer reabate have a name or reference to go with it? My dealer can't find anything like that.

How did you get the Edmunds code? Who did you call and what did you say?

Received offer for my '07 ex cvt sedan, 105k miles, for $8300. Ready to buy, now and received quote for $20638 for '15 ex cvt sedan, which includes destination. A closer dealer, Schaumburg Honda, promised price match but breached on their promise. Planet Honda in Matteson promises to beat any valid quote by $200, which they've breached, also. Is this something to be reported (attorney general) for deceptive sales practices? I'll submit my dealer name for received quote, after my purchase. It's within a 15 mile radius of Schaumburg.

Me and my Salesman were about $400 apart on where I wanted to be (under 20K)
That was on last Tuesday night so I walked out and said to call me before the end of the month as I am ready to buy and I also reminded him of his huge amount of stock. Well sure enough he called me yesterday morning (Sat.) and said that Honda just came out with a new program to get us where we need to be. He would not tell me what it was and I did not care as long as it got us to under 20K.
So, I am sorry but I have no idea what program it is, but it is real as there is a total of $1000 in rebates on my receipt / deal paperwork. ($500 of which is the Edmunds link).

Now in regards to that, I was searching very hard for the mysterious Honda pop-up ad and actually found it several times. But when I clicked on it, it simply refreshed the page as if nothing happened which pissed me off as I knew that this extra $500 would be a great way to top of the deal. So I took a shot and left me a message with Edmunds telling them that there was a problem / glitch with their website and they called me and acknowledged that it was not working BUT the person was awesome and gave me a code in reference to that program (which apparently was sponsored by Honda Financial services or corporation).

The code worked along with the dealers Rebate as I picked up the car today and so far I love it!

My thoughts are that if your dealer has alot of stock, then waiting until Sept. 9th or 10th, I feel incentives are going to be even better. Just look at your local dealers stock numbers on accords and if there is huge numbers on the lots - deals will be better especially going into a Holiday weekend soon.

Hope that helps and Good Luck.

Any suggestion how to look at local dealers stock numbers? Is there a specific website or just look at their website?

Dealers web sites may not reflect the true number of vehicles on lots . If a dealer has 20 listed there's probably less. A call or drive by certain dealers may help you make a better deal.
