I'm trying to lease Mazda CX-5 GT with Tech & Iactivesense 12k/36 months.

MSRP :$33,755

This is what i got from the dealer.


$1900 due at leasing (including 1st month + all fees +registration )

$357/month including taxes

I'm in NJ.

Does this looks like ok deal?

To evaluate a lease deal, you need to know the selling price of the vehicle and/or the net CAP cost.

.00013 MF and 60% residual (if AWD).

680+ = 1.90% APR up through 63 months.
660-679 = 3.40%
640-659 = 4.90%

With today's interest rate environment you are better off going through the manufacture.  Eg Mazda has as low as .9. In high interest rate environment go to a credit union.  Good luck!##!

Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of about $269/mo.

FWD Touring - 58%

Tiers 1-3 is 680 and higher. 4 is 660-679; 5 is 640-659; 6 is 620-639; 7 is 619 or lower.

I am looking to lease a 2016 CX-5 in Georgia. I am looking at the Touring with Tech/Moonroof package. I am being quoted a price of $26,326, MSRP $29,325 after Georgia taxes (which have to be paid in full) I am told by one dealer the monthly lease rate (36 months, $0 down, is $358). Does this look like a good deal? What should I be expecting for money factor / residual on a lease in Georgia?

You've confused some terms
MSRP is the sticker price of the car.
I'm assuming that $26,236 is the selling price. Does that include the GA tax, or is tax on top of that number?
If tax is added, what is the total price?
When you say $0 down, is that $0 due at signing, or do you have other costs upfront at lease inception?
How many miles/yr?

I confirm the 58% residual and .00013 MF. Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of $390/mo - with tax.

Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is - your comment "plus fees" may be the difference. Get the details.

I'd get a full breakdown of the $1000 due at signing; the $21 difference between your quote and my calculation means there is $750 unaccounted for.

Hello, I was at local dealership today in PA, zip code 15601. I am looking to lease a 2016 GT awd that stickers for $32,155. I offered them true dealer invoice and am eligible for the current $250 Graduate Incentive Program, but I'd like to verify some of their info. They stated the MF = .00055 with residual of 60% for a 36mo/12K. Can you verify it that's the same info you have, please? I plan to go to a different dealership closer to home on Monday and would like to be sure I've got the facts. I sure wish there were more dealer incentives. The low markup over invoice doesn't allow for much haggling! Thanks!

I show 60% and .00013 for the 2016 GT AWD, so the MF is being marked up on you.

I show 60% and .00013 for the 2016 GT AWD, so the MF is being marked up on you.

Is this info unmistakable? I don't want to go in tomorrow morning and suggest he's lying about the MF. How would I confirm the MF for sure? I don't doubt you're right, but aside from going to another dealership to see what MF they tell, me, is there any way for me to confirm he's marking me up, other than asking you..with hard evidence? Thanks!
