I get $582/mo + tax with those numbers; if your tax rate is around 8%, you are right in the ballpark.

So to lower the payment I would either have to negotiate a better selling price or put some money down - which I believe is not a good idea on a lease - correct?

Correct - lower selling price or money down. And we do not recommend money down on a lease.

Hello again - I asked the dealer about the sales tax and he said it is 3% and applied to the monthly base payment. So my payment should be $599. What could have been added to the cap cost for me to inquire about? Thanks!

If not paid up front, there is the bank fee, the dealer fee, the license or tag costs for your state and other miscellaneous gov't fees.

Thanks. Reached out to the dealer and found out that the net cap cost includes $595 lease origination fee and $429 for three dealer-installed accessories consisting of splash guards, wheel locks, tri-fold cargo try. They are willing to remove the protections package to lower the payment to $617 but the origination fee has to stay.

The $595 bank fee is mandated and cannot be removed, as you've learned.

Heading to the Dealer tonight to test drive the NSX with Tech Package here in Scottsdale, Arizona. We are comparing to a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x2. Has anyone owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee then traded to Acura to give us some intel?

Also, what is the typical MF, Residual, and Negotiated price, fees, etc. for our area? We are looking to do a 3 Year/15K mile Lease and don't mind putting some money down to get the payment down.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lease numbers are 59% for 36/15 and .00110.

We recommend against putting money down on a lease; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

There are only two variables in a lease - the negotiated selling price and the MF. You want the lowest price possible and ensure the MF isn't marked up by the dealer.

Thanks for the response, this for NJ. 7% tax. Have asked the dealer on the 3k breakdown. He gave 32,902 a s residual, I did the %, basically 32902.4/51410.

I'm turning in my 2013 Acura MDX (base model w/running boards & roof rack) I have 4 pymts left at $439 /month with 31700 miles on it- They said my appraisal is $27500 and my residual value is 24378.75. They said it is a wash. I wasn't sure about this part, so didn't feel wise enough to negotiate.

I agree with the MF and residual numbers.

Using your MSRP and $46,400 as the cap cost, I get $559.44/mo with tax (7%, right?).

Pretty close to the dealer quote. If you back out the $1500 of accessories, the payment will drop about $40-45/mo.
