    MF=Money Factor. Multiply by 2400 to get interest rate ie. .0009 x 2400 = 2.16%

There isn't enough information here for us to help you.

First, you need to call Honda and find out what the payoff is on your Accord - it's possible that the Lexus dealer is lowballing you on the trade value by saying that they 'will pay it off'. To get a decent idea of the trade value, head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion and ask our experts.

Second, what is the MSRP and the selling price of the Lexus? The current numbers for the IS250 are 72% for 27/10 and .00090 MF.

Third, I have a hard time believing this would be $0 out of pocket. On any lease, you have to make the first payment, the acquisition fee, the dealer fee and any state mandated tags or licensing fees.

Once you get this information, come on back and we can model a payment for you.

I don't see any residuals or money factors on here for the convertible. Does anyone know the #'s for the IS 250 C RWD? 10k/36months. Thank you!

Thank you. What do you mean standard MF from Lexus? I see much lower rates quoted in this thread. Like, . 00090. Thanks again.

    Standard = non-discounted.

The convertible doesn't have the same program as the sedans.

ok, so it sounds like you are saying you can't negotiate a better than .00170 MF on the convertible.

Thank you. Can I get confirmation on the MF of 0.0009 and whether the residual for 24m/12k on an IS250 is 71% or 73%. The dealer is telling me it's 71% but kyfdx above is saying it should be 73%. I want to be certain I have my facts straight before I start asking the dealer for something unreasonable.

If I put down 8 MSD's would that then lower the 0.0009 MF to 0.0001?

The numbers we have show the 24/12 residual on the 2015 IS250 as 73%. These numbers are set to expire on 3/31/15. You sure they aren't quoting you a 27 month term?

Yes, 8 MSDs would lower the MF to the minimum of .00001
How does 8 MSDs lowe the MF to 0.00001? I thought each MSD reduced MF by 0.00008. 0.00008 x 8 = 0.00064 and 0.00090 - 0.00064 = 0.00026. Also is each MSD 1 payment at base MF or the new discounted MF? Thank you! Also, any incentives on Lexuses? Does Lexus have a loyalty rebate?

Sorry, your math is correct on the MSDs. I believe the new payment is used to determine the size of each security deposit.

No lease cash that I see on the IS. Use the "Car Research" tab at the top of the page for any customer incentives available.

We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease --- $422/mo for 24 months on a $42K car is quite good.

We don't yet have the March MF numbers ...

    36/15 residual is 63%. Add 2% for 12K miles.

    72% residual for 27/10 and .00090 MF.

We would need to know the cap cost and the breakdown of the $1475 up front to fully comment.

Thank you for your response. As I remember the cap cost is 42500. 1475 goes to cap cost reduction. There is no title, registration, license included. Those arw separated. They said I have to go to the DMV for that due to NE law. The 1st month is waived.

I'm getting $404.52/mo pre-tax with your numbers. Dealer might be inflating the MF or they could be slipping in some fees to increase the payment.

Wanted to see your thoughts if this is a good deal? My credit isn't great, 650-690 depending which one they pull.

2015 IS 250 AWD Fsport fully loaded with navigation and the works 36 months / 12k miles

    MSRP 46,303
    Cap Cost 44,534.47
    RV 30,096.95 (0.65)
    Fees: 2929.53
    Breakdown;
    Taxes: 641.03
Initial Title, License & Reg. Fee: 314.50
    Acquisition Fee: 700
Excess Wear and Use Coverage: 875
    Doc Fee: 399

    MF ?? I'm not sure -

    1,500 down (Cap Reduction - now I see I shouldn't have done this.) - 489/month
516/month w/ the 875 for excess wear & tie wrapped into payment.

    Thanks!

@cahn2126 - I just ran similar numbers for a good friend and this seems like a good deal.

    Here's my breakdown:

    • 36 mo, 12k mi lease
    • MSRP = $44,820
    • Sale Price = $40,385
    • Residual = 65%
    • MF = 0.00070 (1.68)
    • $0 down
    • Sales Tax = 8.725% Central California

TOTAL = $393 month, includes tax

Leased a 2015 IS 250 MSRP $38,500 over the weekend.

0 Out of pocket (applied the $1000 grad student rebate)
    $350/Mo tax included
    36 Months
    10K/year
    Sale price approx 36K
    RV 25K
    MF (self back calced) .0008

    How did I do ? ;)

How is the dealer using MF of 0.00070 when the national rate is 0.00090? How much was the drive off fees (DMV, acquisition fee, etc.)? Since Lexus pays first month then it would be 35 payments of $393 left?

    Hello,

I am new here but, I am looking to lease a IS250 with Fsport package. Even though I have another lease with another company and never missed or made a late payment my credit score is not that good still.
I was wondering what is the lexus tier list, so I can see for what MF I qualify and see if I can get the monthly payment I am looking for

    Thanks

Hey guys, I am new here, but have been following this thread for months now. My lease is almost up on my Hyundai and I think I want to upgrade to the IS 250 AWD.

When I walk in there, what info do I need to take home with me to figure out that I am getting a decent deal. I have had trouble in the past because I look very young, even though I am in my 30's. They tend to brush me off, and I want to maintain my sarcasm and act normal when they ask where my parents are. =)

I am sorry if I am asking a repeated question. I appreciate any help. I live in PA.

    Thanks,
    Janelle

There are 4 numbers to a lease:

MSRP - bottom line of the window sticker
Cap Cost - negotiated selling price adjusted for any fees & taxes
Money Factor - used to calculate the rent charge of the lease. For the IS, that number is .00090
Residual - dependent on lease term and miles per year

You negotiate the cap cost just like you would for a purchase; read back through the past few pages in this discussion to see what others are paying. You can use the Edmunds pricing tools at the top of the page - the "make / model / year" pull downs.

Great. Thank you. I will report back. I may go tomorrow when it is snowing here. They may be hanging around needing something to do.

I did see you recommend nothing down due to risk with totaling...I think that is great advise.

    Msrp 40970
    Residual .66
    Gross cap cost 38993
    Money factor .0011

    36 months, 10k miles

    Upfront charges: 1345.55
    Initial payment: 1790.94
    Cap reduction: 4.45

With your numbers, I'm getting $404.66/mo pre-tax, so not too far off from your dealer quote.

MF is marked up .. base MF is .00090. My payment drops to $391.45 using the base MF.

If you have equity in your trade, do not use it to reduce the cap cost. Have the dealer cut you a check for that balance.

Thanks. I actually have an inequity...not an equity... thats my issue. I didnt want to put any money down either. I may just wait until my lease is up in my current car in 6 months and walk back in with clean hands and try this again.
