The money factor is used to calculate the finance charges. No need to convert it to an APR. Also, it's applied to an average of the CAP cost and residual, not the depreciation amount

We do not recommend a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled you lose the money.

What would you think as a fair purchase price would be? I thought some people paid the entire lease price up front to lower cost. GAP covers the difference between what is owed (payoff on the lease) and the ACV of the totaled vehicle. It doesn't reimburse you for any amount you might have put down.
Not sure I'd ask my insurance rep about lease/buy decisions, but he does have a point about rates. Audi lease rates aren't that great. On another vehicle, a lease might be a smart move, but on an Audi Q5 it is pricy.

1) .00165 MF and 58%/57% residual. Add .00040 for B-tier or .00065 for C-tier.
2) Not real familiar with Audi's MSD program. I think it's .00005 reduction per SD, with a maximum of 10.

Buying multiple cars doesn't help as much as you would think. Maybe, if you were buying 10 or 20. If you get a killer deal on one car, then that's about as good as you could expect on the next two.

MSDs are almost always a good idea. I've used them twice on leases.

MSD monies are returned to you at the end of the lease. In return, you get a lower MF applied to your lease deal. If the lease terminates early (stolen or totaled car), you still get that money back.

2) Not real familiar with Audi's MSD program. I think it's .00005 reduction per SD, with a maximum of 10.

They have the residual wrong. That's the correct money factor, but the residual is 57% for the Premium Plus. 60% is the 2.0T Premium residual for 36/12
So are you saying that the price won't be honored if I decided to go through w the lease?
If that is the residual they are using for a Premium Plus, I think it will get kicked back, or they will catch it beforehand.
So if the residual gets knocked down to 57%, what would the payment turn into according to your numbers?
What is the MSRP? The difference in the payment will be 3% of that number, divided over 36 months.
