2016 Q5, premium plus, 3.0, tech package, sport package.
36/12 Gross capitalized cost is 49035 Getting 1250 for "rebates and non cash credits" - i believe 750 of this is for the competitor acquisition rebate Monthly is 638 Drive off 2077 Residual value is 31305
Is this a good deal? I'm told the MF on this lease is .0016. Is this correct?
What is the new MF for April?
Thank you!
.00143 and 57% for 3.0T premier plus in April.
What is the net cap cost?
Hello. Net cap cost? Not sure. I have the lease agreement in front of me. I don't see a "Net Cap Cost." Adjusted cap cost is 47865. If I request they rewrite the agreement for April will the terms be better?
I asked them outright about April and they said the MF is the same (.0016) but the acquisition rebate goes away.
Thanks for your help.
.00160 MF and 58% residual for March .00143 MF and 57% residual for April.
Adjusted CAP cost is good, but also need MSRP to calculate the lease.. The 1% drop in residual, along with the slightly lower MF for April, would mean about the same payment.
Edmunds gurus! I got quoted by my dealer for MARCH the following: 2016 Q5 3.0T Premium plus MSRP $54,554 with 12K miles per year, with Audi Care included, 36 months lease, $1600 out of pocket Monthly payment $550.00 Tax included. Is this a good, average or bad deal?? Thank you for your help

And, thanks for sharing your deal details with us.
I've been reading the posts, but I am getting different numbers from my dealer in Houston, Tx. They ran it with a trade-in for my current 2014 Audi A4 lease, in which I have negative equity. But I've backed into my numbers and calculated these numbers without the trade-in. I have the detailed fee sheet from my salesman, so I can verify every number except the MF, which I backed into. (This isn't final deal, just where we are on a first round.) 2015 Audi Q5 2.0 AWD Quattro Premium Plus MSRP: 48,195.00 Cap Cost: 49,580.50 [Minus incentives, but Audi adds in dealer services fees, TTL, acquisition fee, taxes, and document fees. Did not include AudiCare in this quote.] Term: 42 mos [I'm told this is the sweet spot term] Mileage: 15k Residual: 49% [from salesman]
If I back into my numbers, I'm showing a MF of .00075. Which is higher than the .00030 being quoted in the other posts. Resulting monthly payment of $673.11. [If I drop the MF to .00030, I get $640/mo.]
Curious if these numbers seem unusual or odd?
Note on other Residuals for same car: 36/15k: 53% and 39/15k: 51%, also from salesman If I back into the MF using these residuals, I get .00056 on the 36/15k and .0008 on the 39/15k.
Interesting side note: I also looked at the new 2017 A4 Premium and backed into extremely high MFs. 36/15k: 57% Res; .001975 MF 39/15k: 55% Res; .0021 MF 42/15k: 53% Res; .00222 MF
It is obvious that Audi is pushing the 2016 2.0 Q5s right now. I suspected they were inflating the MFs to deter me from the new A4, but maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist.
Would be curious to know what you're seeing on the Residual and MF for a 2016 Audi Q5 3.0 Quattro Premium Plus in Houston, TX. Thanks!

The MF on the 2.0T is .00030 for up to 36 months - for 39/42 months, the MF jumps to .00050.
I confirm the 53% / 51% / 49% residual for 36, 39, and 42 months, 15K per year.
I don't believe you can reverse engineer the MF from all the other numbers in the formula, however.
Using the prices you've given (and, I'm not surprised the cap cost is higher than the sticker, given the tax situation for leases in TX), I get $655/mo for 42/15, $678/mo for 39/15 and $690/mo for 36/15.
I have a quote for a Q5 Premium Plus 2016 36 \15 MSRP 54520 Net Cap - 50000 Residual .55 MF .00143 Base Monthly - 682 Tax 59 Total Payment $742 CA - Tax Rate 8.5% Out of Pocket - $742

is this a Good deal?
That is the base MF for the 3.0T.
I get a slightly different payment ... base of $670 and total payment of $727.
I would confirm the net cap number - might be slightly different than what you've given us.
Hello, I received he following lease quote for the 2016 Q5 2.0T Premium, 36 months/10k miles in CA-Los Angeles. It seems like this is a good deal - can you confirm please?
MSRP: $43,450 Cap cost: $38,967.18 Cap reduction: $1,000 Net cap: $37,967.18 Residual value: $25,635.50 Money factor: .00030 Out of pocket: $400 (goes to 1st monthly payment) Monthly payment: $395.98 (includes tax)
All fees included in cap cost (bank doc fee $795; tax on doc fee $102.60; DMV fees $384; CA tire tax $8.75; advanced payments $395.98)..totaling $1,766.33.
Would it be more worthwhile for me to pay these fees at signing, rather them being baked into the cap cost?

36mo, 10K/yr, right?
I get $362/mo.+tax, so looks good
But, if the $795 is in the CAP cost, it isn't taxed (and, that's the acquisition fee, not a doc fee). Maybe the tax is on the $1000 rebate?
I would pay the DMV and tire tax fees upfront, as those are non-taxable fees, and by putting them in the CAP cost, you are essentially paying tax on them, by virtue of the taxable monthly payment.
Other than that, it looks good. Paying that $393 upfront will knock about $12/mo. off the payment.
I received the below quote for a 16 SQ5 Premium Plus. I should be a tier A lessee with ~815 credit. MSRP is $63,595 with a negotiated price of 60,415.
1. One pay lease without Audi care: $27,057 2. Lease 36 months, 12k, $0 down = $865 per month (all taxes and fees rolled into payment) 3. Lease 36 months, 12k, $2465 down to cover taxes = $762 per month
*If you want to add Audi care it will bump each payment up $10 per month
*We don't have MSDs
Residual is 58% of MSRP = $36,885.10 MF = .0017 Rebates applied already = $1750
Questions:
What is the Base MF and Residual for April in PA and VA? What is the MSD policy with Audi, is it dealer dependent?

2016 SQ5 Premium Plus, 36/12 - .00120 and 58%. Add 1% to the residual for AudiCare. .00100 deduction in MF for one-pay lease.
Audi MSD allows 9 total, each of which lower the MF by .00005. Not dealer dependent.
Hi All, I am interested in 2016 Q5 Premium plus Quattro with Technology package. Last night I was in a dealership for a Q5 with $48500 MSRP. They offered $2000 off sticker price with $1750 rebate. With around $1000 fees and including 8% tax, the monthly payment became $589 with first month payment sign and drive. Salesperson told me the least MF they can give me is 0.00069, and RV was 51% for 42/12K term. I was wondering what is the MF and residual value percentage for 42/12K in NY? Is $2000 off sticker price reasonable or they have more room? This is my first time leasing a car. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

.00050 and 51% for 42/12
MF is marked up.
For Audi, 4-6% off sticker, before incentives, is a good target to achieve.

.00143 MF and 57% residual for April.
Adjusted CAP cost is good, but also need MSRP to calculate the lease.. The 1% drop in residual, along with the slightly lower MF for April, would mean about the same payment.

2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R / 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige
2015 Audi Q5 2.0 AWD Quattro Premium Plus
MSRP: 48,195.00
Cap Cost: 49,580.50 [Minus incentives, but Audi adds in dealer services fees, TTL, acquisition fee, taxes, and document fees. Did not include AudiCare in this quote.]
Term: 42 mos [I'm told this is the sweet spot term]
Mileage: 15k
Residual: 49% [from salesman]
If I back into my numbers, I'm showing a MF of .00075. Which is higher than the .00030 being quoted in the other posts. Resulting monthly payment of $673.11. [If I drop the MF to .00030, I get $640/mo.]
Curious if these numbers seem unusual or odd?
Note on other Residuals for same car: 36/15k: 53% and 39/15k: 51%, also from salesman
If I back into the MF using these residuals, I get .00056 on the 36/15k and .0008 on the 39/15k.
Interesting side note: I also looked at the new 2017 A4 Premium and backed into extremely high MFs.
36/15k: 57% Res; .001975 MF
39/15k: 55% Res; .0021 MF
42/15k: 53% Res; .00222 MF
It is obvious that Audi is pushing the 2016 2.0 Q5s right now. I suspected they were inflating the MFs to deter me from the new A4, but maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist.
Would be curious to know what you're seeing on the Residual and MF for a 2016 Audi Q5 3.0 Quattro Premium Plus in Houston, TX. Thanks!

MSRP: $43,450
Cap cost: $38,967.18
Cap reduction: $1,000
Net cap: $37,967.18
Residual value: $25,635.50
Money factor: .00030
Out of pocket: $400 (goes to 1st monthly payment)
Monthly payment: $395.98 (includes tax)
All fees included in cap cost (bank doc fee $795; tax on doc fee $102.60; DMV fees $384; CA tire tax $8.75; advanced payments $395.98)..totaling $1,766.33.
Would it be more worthwhile for me to pay these fees at signing, rather them being baked into the cap cost?
I get $362/mo.+tax, so looks good
But, if the $795 is in the CAP cost, it isn't taxed (and, that's the acquisition fee, not a doc fee). Maybe the tax is on the $1000 rebate?
I would pay the DMV and tire tax fees upfront, as those are non-taxable fees, and by putting them in the CAP cost, you are essentially paying tax on them, by virtue of the taxable monthly payment.
Other than that, it looks good. Paying that $393 upfront will knock about $12/mo. off the payment.

1. One pay lease without Audi care: $27,057
2. Lease 36 months, 12k, $0 down = $865 per month (all taxes and fees rolled into payment)
3. Lease 36 months, 12k, $2465 down to cover taxes = $762 per month
*If you want to add Audi care it will bump each payment up $10 per month
*We don't have MSDs
Residual is 58% of MSRP = $36,885.10
MF = .0017
Rebates applied already = $1750
Questions:
What is the Base MF and Residual for April in PA and VA?
What is the MSD policy with Audi, is it dealer dependent?
Thanks a ton!
Alex
Audi MSD allows 9 total, each of which lower the MF by .00005. Not dealer dependent.

I am interested in 2016 Q5 Premium plus Quattro with Technology package.
Thanks
MF is marked up.
For Audi, 4-6% off sticker, before incentives, is a good target to achieve.
