Congrats for sticking to your guns. Did you have to give anything else up to get the base MF? Dealers tend to not discount the selling price as much to compensate.

AudiCare is a prepaid service program. Even on a lease, you have to service your vehicle. AFS increases the residual by 1%, if you purchase AudiCare. That results in an increase of about $10/mo. to add AudiCare. $360 is cheap for three years of service.

Can't estimate a payment without the MSRP and proposed selling price.

I've never commented before but I've been following a lot. I just leased a 2016 Q5 2.0q. I feel like I got a good deal. The dealer provided great service.

They showed me the invoice and I paid $400 over. I think the MF was .00042 over what was shown here too. I'm ok with them making a buck. Sometimes on here it seems like a game to try to make sure that they make no money at all.

It didn't seem worth it to me to go around to different dealers shopping to save what, like 6 or 7 hundred bucks over 3 years when the first dealer was transparent.

I used 56% residual. Adding AudiCare would add 1% to the residual, and reduce the pre-tax payment to $526/mo

If it's Premium, the residual should be 60% for 36/12, with AudiCare.

I have a general question. An audi dealer is trying to entice me into a lease starting in January, saying that they can get me a lease through an external bank with much better numbers. My questions are:

1. How common is this? (leasing via an external bank versus Audi Finance)
2. What are the potential downsides?
3. The dealer claims that the lease via the external bank only runs through January, and will not be available in February. Is this possible?

1. Dealers can choose banks to fund leases. Sometimes the numbers are better, sometimes not. You need to get all the data and compare the deals side by side. 

2. Third party banks are often not as generous about waiving damage at the end of the lease. AFS wants you to lease with them again. And, as noted above, you have to compare the numbers. 

3. All offers have an expiration date. Can't tell you if the deal will get better or worse next month. Dealer doesn't, either.

MF is marked up the max; base is .00112.

Using that base MF, I calculate a payment of $487/mo + tax. Inflated MF is adding about $35/mo to your pre-tax payment.

The dealer sent me this message when I said I wanted to $0 down. I don't understand the last paragraph. is he giving me the run-around?

Bank fee (Audi FS) - $875.00
Total Initial Pmt - $1,950.96

If you do not want to put any money down when you sign the lease, those monies have to be collected. The Drive Off amount, $1,950.96 is added to the selling price of the car. When the price of the car is adjusted, then the tax, license, registration increase due to the higher selling price. So for the benefit of no money down you will pay $79.02 in additional taxes and fees.
