Seems like you are $27/mo. higher than that.

Current numbers look like this:

39 month
10K mi/yr
$1750 in "rebates"
They're having him put down $3876.89 Cap cost (!!!!!)
Monthly payment is $487

When I run the calculations using information I see on this thread (.00126MF and 57% residual for the 39/10 and 59% or 60% for 36/10) minus his cap cost reduction, I am getting payments of $446.08.

My question is: Are my numbers wrong? Is 57% residual an accurate figure to be using? Or is he being overcharged?

(If the numbers I'm using are correct, it seems that they are effectively pricing the car at $50K). Unfortunately I don't know the "negotiated price (cap cost)" that was (or wasn't) negotiated because I was not there when the deal discussed.

39/10 lease numbers for the Q5 Premium Plus are .00146 and 55%.

.00126 and 57% are for 36/10.

We do not recommend making a cap cost reduction on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, he would lose that money. There are some up front charges associated with a lease - bank fee, dealer fee, first payment, license or tag costs.

Without knowing the cap cost it makes it hard to model a payment.

.00126 and 54% for 36/15. Extra miles have to be bought up front at .15 per mile.

Minimum MF is .00005. Audi, I believe, allows 9 MSDs at .00005 each

Individual options do not affect the lease numbers, only the trim level (premium vs. premium plus vs. prestige)

.00126 and 57%, so they've marked up the MF on you.

We don't recommend making a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. First payment, bank fee, dealer fee and tags are all you should pay at lease signing.

Assuming $0 down, the base MF and the discount price is the net cap cost, I get $543.49/mo + tax.

You should target 6% off sticker price.

The Audi single-pay lease has a .00100 MF reduction from the original rate. The lease is calculated with that lower money factor, and then the payments are added up to get the single-pay amount.
