Tax?
So tax on one sheet shows 3000 about but on another shows about 1171. Then there is doc fee which in va is 599. My main confusion is is that what is causing it to be 334. Because from my calculations if I'm putting two grand down that should cover those fees so if the car is 26 eight I should be around 300. When you Lease a vehicle every thousand takes off how much of the lease ?

The $1171 seems more likely to be the tax in VA. $599 isn't the doc fee for VA, it's the doc fee for that dealer.
You should get a breakdown of all the numbers. There is also a $595 acquistion fee. $1171 + $595 + $599 +$334... you can see that we are already over $2000.
May I ask for the MF and residual for 2016 WRX M/T: Base, Premium and Limited. 36/15, 42/15, 48/15. 750 credit score in Florida (32081). And how many MSDs does Subaru allow? Any incentives for December?

Just got this info from a buddy of mine sitting at the dealership. I told him to leave and wait for me to get the numbers for this month. I believe he was quoted around 470 but he says he can get him down to 430, which still seems a bit high to me with his downpayment.
Can anyone help me with the current MF and Residual on this;

Much appreciated.
65% and .00185 for 36/12 on STI Limited.
Would need to know the selling price in order to model a payment.
We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, that money would be lost.
Thanks for the info. Apparently the 48k was the all in price they offered him, 42.5 was the msrp. Not sure of the selling price but would hope he would be able to talk them down to 40-40.5. They offered him 400 a month when he was out the door.
I agree about not making a down payment for a lease but it will help him out with the price and his car is quite beat up, he's just glad to get rid of it no questions asked.

What was included in the $5500 that took the MSRP to the "all in" price?
If the $400/mo payment includes taxes, then it looks like a decent deal.

Thanks Michaell, I had a feeling that a 2 year lease was a poor value.
I had a pleasant experience this evening at the dealer, I think I will be back tomorrow to finalize the deal.
Their offer was a sale price of 28934 on a 30288 MSRP WRX premium.
For a 36mo, 12k mi, this came to $393/mo (including 8% NY sales tax) with a down payment of $704 (first month + dmv fees + ???). MF and Residual all matched the numbers given in this thread from the start.

Does this sound like a reasonable deal?
65% residual and either .00175 (6MT) or .00185 (CVT) MF.
With your prices, that works out to $342/mo for the 6MT or $347/mo for the CVT. Plus tax.
Your quote of $393/mo looks a bit high, but if they've rolled in the acquisition fee, it's not too bad.

What dealer is this? We bought my wife's Outback from Groove on Broadway.
Thanks! Awesome! We looked at Groove, but this price is from Heuberger in the Colorado Springs. We live in Denver but they had the best pricing with the a great selection, so we are willing to travel a bit.

We lived in Castle Rock, so I asked my wife which direction she wanted to go when we started shopping. She said north, and AutoNation didn't have anything in stock we wanted, so we went to Groove.
Heuberger is a great volume dealer; hard to beat them on pricing, I've heard.

Hello, I am new to these forums. I need some insight! I am looking to lease a 2016 Subaru STI Base 6MT.
The documents I was given from the dealer state the following: MSRP: $36,395.00 42 months / 10-12k a year. Gross capitalized cost: $42,354.92 Residual value: $25,476.50. Depreciation and any amortized amounts: $16,878.42 Rent charge: $8,831.88 Monthly payments with monthly sales/use tax included: $655.00.
I was not given the money factor or residual percentage.
Located in Miami, FL.
That payment seems to be pretty high. Could anyone confirm whether this is a good deal or not? I could really use some help!

The 42/12 numbers for the base STi are .00230 and 68%.
Why is the cap cost $6K more than the MSRP?
As is, with your numbers, I get $574/mo + tax. $655/mo does seem high - dealer can mark up the MF for more profit.

Hello, thank you for your reply! I had a feeling the numbers were too high. I spent hours with the finance manager yesterday and all that was offered to me was the following:
2016 Subaru STI 6MT Popular Package 01 MSRP: 36,395.00 Price the dealer is giving me the car at: $33.127.00 Payments: $600.00 per month. 36 months. 10k miles a year. 0 down payment. Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
I don't have the exact gross cap cost now because my papers are at home and I am at work but I know it is at about $39k now.
They told me I am a tier 4.
Another option they gave me was: $580.00 per month. 42 months. 10k miles a year. 0 down payment. Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
Another option given: $566.06 per month. 42 months. 1k down payment. Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
And last option: $548.00 42 months. 2k down payment. Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
Another Subaru dealer is offering me the same car but with the sport package 02 with monthly payments under $500 and a $500 down payment for 36 months and 12k miles a year. They are aware I am a tier 4.
What do you think?
Also, I asked why the cap cost was 42k and the finance manager advised me because of all of the "fees" and everything added together.

Tier 4 adds .00080 to the MF, or .00310.
If you are leasing, no reason to get an extended warranty; that is pure profit for the dealer.
The 36 month term is much better for the STi; that last offer seems better, even with the MF hit for tier 4 (36/12 numbers are 69% and .00190, or .00270 for tier 4).

Tha thanks for the information you have been very helpful kyfdx I have been following this forum for some time and you know your stuff!.. So according to those numbers a 42 month lease would probably be the best option?

Sorry a bit new to this. For a base 2016 wrx with MT in MA for a 3yr /36k mile a dealer has an ad for 1799 due at signing and 299 monthly. If I'm doing my math right and its .00185 mf and 68% residue the offered deal is not a good deal after all is it?

I'm looking to lease a WRX Premium 6MT, price I'm quote is around $27800. Lease is 36 months 12k miles. I live in NY and most likely getting it from dealer in NJ, so I'm not sure what tax rate it will be. Can I get some numbers as in terms how much it will be after tax? And also the MF and the residual please. I will be talking to the sales later today through the phone so I want some numbers to compare to his. Lastly I will probably be putting down $2000 upfront.

Heuberger is a great volume dealer; hard to beat them on pricing, I've heard.

the money factor and residual seem off compared to other numbers I've seen on here.
Confirm they are using a lease from Subaru Motor Finance...

The documents I was given from the dealer state the following:
MSRP: $36,395.00
42 months / 10-12k a year.
Gross capitalized cost: $42,354.92
Residual value: $25,476.50.
Depreciation and any amortized amounts: $16,878.42
Rent charge: $8,831.88
Monthly payments with monthly sales/use tax included: $655.00.
I was not given the money factor or residual percentage.
Located in Miami, FL.
That payment seems to be pretty high. Could anyone confirm whether this is a good deal or not? I could really use some help!
Thank you!!
Why is the cap cost $6K more than the MSRP?
As is, with your numbers, I get $574/mo + tax. $655/mo does seem high - dealer can mark up the MF for more profit.
Not a good deal.

2016 Subaru STI 6MT Popular Package 01
MSRP: 36,395.00
Price the dealer is giving me the car at: $33.127.00
Payments: $600.00 per month.
36 months.
10k miles a year.
0 down payment.
Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
I don't have the exact gross cap cost now because my papers are at home and I am at work but I know it is at about $39k now.
They told me I am a tier 4.
Another option they gave me was:
$580.00 per month.
42 months.
10k miles a year.
0 down payment.
Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
Another option given:
$566.06 per month.
42 months.
1k down payment.
Extended warranty included called "Added Security" which costs $640.00.
And last option:
$548.00
42 months.
Thanks and Happy Holidays! :-)
If you are leasing, no reason to get an extended warranty; that is pure profit for the dealer.
The 36 month term is much better for the STi; that last offer seems better, even with the MF hit for tier 4 (36/12 numbers are 69% and .00190, or .00270 for tier 4).

can I get the numbers on a WRX CVT premium 36 or 48 months 12k/year in NJ
So the deal from the other Subaru dealer for a monthly payment under $500 with $500 down payment for 36k months at 12k miles a year is a better deal? Does it sound more accurate?
42: .00230 MF and 64% residual
48: .00220 MF and 57% residual

I'm looking to lease a WRX Premium 6MT, price I'm quote is around $27800. Lease is 36 months 12k miles. I live in NY and most likely getting it from dealer in NJ, so I'm not sure what tax rate it will be. Can I get some numbers as in terms how much it will be after tax? And also the MF and the residual please. I will be talking to the sales later today through the phone so I want some numbers to compare to his. Lastly I will probably be putting down $2000 upfront.
