Hi. Can you please provide money factor and residual for R/T in NY 11590? And how likely is it that a dealer would be willing to lower price on a $39k R/T? Thank you.

What lease term and how many miles per year?
Forgot to mention that. RT 39months 10kmiles. Scat 36months 10kmiles.
Dont need more than that. Surprised they actually have a 10k mile lease term.

RT .00042 and 59% $308/mo with your prices Scat Pack approx .00200 and 67% $434/mo with your prices
Get the adjusted cap cost - that should identify the discrepancies.
I'm not sure what to do here. I'm looking at a 2016 Charger ScatPack.
MSRP $46865 Employee Price is ~$42300 IIRC
They're quoting me anywhere from $500-620 a month with $2000 up front.
Are they just trying to screw me or what? I asked for a sales order or a written up lease agreement to see where the money is going.. I'm at a loss. I went in expecting to pay 350-425 a month and was blasted with $500+ quotes.
Residual is 65% and standard MF which equals ~4.5% right?
And to boot I was offered an "Ally Smart Lease" where the residual was 71% and interest was 8%.. He said that was the better deal over the Dodge numbers. My calculations showed them being relatively close and I didn't have a preference nor did I care.
The numbers just don't make sense from them.. I LOVE the car but can't justify $500+ a month.

These aren't inexpensive to lease.
However, the one thing you don't mention is the lease term and miles per year.
The Ally lease usually has incentives that attach to it, which would lower the adjusted cap cost.
I would confirm the adjusted cap cost, then we can run some numbers and see what's what.

I was told there's no incentives on these from Dodge or Ally. Just what I listed, My EP, an Ally residual of 71% and an Ally Interest rate of 8%.
Suggested Ally was the better route than a Dodge Lease due to the much higher residual(71% vs Dodge's 65%) even with the nearly doubled interest rate.
I'm giving them a trade-in, My current Jeep GC, that I am SIGNIFICANTLY into positive equity with and should knock out all of the applicable sales tax.
I'm trying to get all the numbers from them but they seem to hide them and don't want to give them to me, So I'm tempted to move on toward the cheaper quotes. I was expecting to be in the $400-450 range, I'm trading in to avoid the Sales Tax, I have Employee Pricing, and I'm putting down an additional $2000.

Looking at 36/12 leases.
Let's reset.
36/12 on the 2016 Charger ScatPack is standard MF (around .00200, but we don't know the exact number) and 66%.
Using your prices of $46,865 MSRP and $43,200 cap cost, that translates into a payment of $489/mo before tax. If you are paying the tax and fees up front, that should be your payment. If the dealer is quoting you a higher number, then the cap cost must be higher.
If we use the Ally numbers of 71% residual and .00333 MF (8%), then the payment is $530/mo.
Avoid the Ally lease - the higher MF more than offsets the higher residual.
One last point - we do not recommend using trade equity to reduce the cap cost. Use it for up front taxes and fees, but have the dealer cut you a check for the balance. If the new car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
To get to the $400-450 payment, you'd have to put money (or trade equity) down - which, as noted, we don't recommend.
For what it's worth, $489/mo is a pretty good lease payment on a $47K car.
Understood. I was taking the addition equity in a check, not applying it to the lease.(Except the additional $2000 I mentioned)
ONE dealer quoted me $500/mo but that's with an additional $2000 up front. So like I had anticipated, NOTHING up front, my lease should be $489, and with the additional $2000 down I SHOULD be right where I want to be, low-to-mid $400 range?
I understand that the money is lost, and was only doing that to get me to an artificially lower payment, but while rethinking it, I'd rather keep the $2000.
I'm ready to go into combat with the dealer and hash it out, I want this car.

If the $2000 goes to cap reduction, the payment would drop about $55-60/mo. There are still up front costs to consider, as well - acquisition fee, bank fee, license or DMV costs, first month's payment.

I've got employee pricing and can't come anywhere near that.. The cars I'm looking at are sticked around $44-46 though.
Residual for Scat is about 70% most of the time. $5k is big difference. Your payments should be about $496/month assuming taxes and fees paid up front. And thats not calculating employee pricing. How much is employee pricing discount?

"3-5% below invoice" Seems to be close to 4% on these cars. I did expect to be in the low-mid 400 range, given EP, 2k up front, NO tax, etc. I'm now basically being ignored by the dealer I was working with. On to the next I think.
Info here has been helpful, none of them seem to want to explain to me why I'm over 550/mo when I should be below 500/mo and disappear or even "lose internet connection for the day" when I ask and don't even get a text back. Amazing coincidence!
One car in Joliet I would just go in and fire away at them to pick it up, but it's still in transit so I don't want to waste a 2 hour trip to not have the car on the lot.

Search for the best employees. The guy I dealt with was honest and straight to the point. I went in person which makes a difference.
If the vehicle wasn't listed as "in transit" I would go down tomorrow afternoon, but it's on a truck somewhere and the guy also failed to give me an ETA but did let me know there are SPs on his lot that aren't equipped how I want nor the correct paint color I'm looking for and suggested I come in. No thanks buddy, I'm not making the two hour trip twice.
Called in for a different salesman.. Let's hope this guy is better when he shows up on my caller ID.

You can always order a one. Payments will come out around the same. Only time they give better deals is when they're trying to get rid of cars, but that doesn't happen with RTs and Scats.
I was quoted $41,975 with 65% residual for a 2016 Charger Scat Pack. MF is .000026. They told me a 36 month 15k miles a year lease would come to $597 a month. The math seems way off, what am I missing here. Thanks in advance!

That's too much. Even with tax rolled in payments will be in low $500s. Tell them to physically show you all the numbers. The guy I dealt with was nice enough to even print out the sheet with all the numbers, which he really isn't supposed to do. Very straight forward. Don't go to that sales person again if you prove that they're over charging imo.

MSRP is $44,475, Cap cost is $39,975. It's in NC I'm pretty sure tax rates on leases are 3% here.

I think the MF is wrong.. Standard MF for the scatpack and it's probably inflated to .00260. 36/15 residual is 64%.
Even still, with those numbers and your prices I get $513/mo after tax.
36/12 residual is 65% and 36/15 residual is 64% .. What's the payment difference between the two using any base figure you'd like?
Am I the only person that'd be willing to take that additional residual hit to potentially save myself money at lease end with overage fees? I feel comfortable with 12K but you never know ..

Get the adjusted cap cost - that should identify the discrepancies.

I'm looking at a 2016 Charger ScatPack.
MSRP $46865
Employee Price is ~$42300 IIRC
However, the one thing you don't mention is the lease term and miles per year.
The Ally lease usually has incentives that attach to it, which would lower the adjusted cap cost.
I would confirm the adjusted cap cost, then we can run some numbers and see what's what.

Called in for a different salesman.. Let's hope this guy is better when he shows up on my caller ID.

I think the MF is wrong.. Standard MF for the scatpack and it's probably inflated to .00260. 36/15 residual is 64%.
Even still, with those numbers and your prices I get $513/mo after tax.

Am I the only person that'd be willing to take that additional residual hit to potentially save myself money at lease end with overage fees? I feel comfortable with 12K but you never know ..
