I dunno, seems like PA Honda dealers may be a bit stiffer than those in MD/VA, but it seems like there should be more room to deal on this one. It's not often that we see CR-Vs going for more than TMV. Best go to my link and recheck my numbers.
Maybe tell the dealer that you are concerned about resale, even though you know how to drive in the snow, most people in your area would prefer AWD and you'll lose a bit more when you go to trade it in.
Hey @brian125, feel free to pop-in and tell me I'm out to lunch.
Goodluck
So, the 2016 numbers are $23,042 invoice, $24,475 MSRP and $23,567 TMV.
Now your deal is just about right at invoice.
I dunno, I still have the feeling that there may be more room to negotiate, but we're almost at year end, and this is when the best deals usually come down. Guess I'd try to get a couple more quotes to see how this deal compares.

2016 CRV FWD EX OTD price is 26K. Is that the price or should it be lower?
OTD is a great way to negotiate but we have no way of knowing what the taxes are in your zip code or what fees you are paying in your quote.
I don't have the exact figures: the sale price is few hundred more of 24K (including destination fee); the OTD price is 26K including all fees and tax (6.25%). Zip code is 75234.
MSRP: $26,867.00
Dealer price : $ 24,000
Doc. fees, tax, registration $ 2,500.44
OTD price $ 26500.44
I think is a good price but the dealer mentioned the MSRP is for financed only, and their APR rate is higher than i expected even i have extremely good credit score.
(and you can always refinance).
MSRP: 28025
net cap cost:26300
MF:.00175
Residual-.65
lease price-285.17 before tax
was quoted the following on a 2015 cr-v EX-L AWD for same period and miles:
MSRP: 30275
Net cap cost- 26495.62
MF-.00175
residual-.59
lease price-294.00 before tax.
no money down except first month, bank fees and dmv charges. Will roll taxes into payment.
i thought that the money factor was .00165 but was told that you get that only if it is a true no money down deal where you roll all fees into payment. Not sure if that's true but both prices based on what I have seen seem ok.
Any thoughts?

2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R / 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige
Destination: 835.00
Subtotal: $26266.00
PA Sales Tax: 1575.96
PA Motor Vehicle: 265.00(approx.)
Doc Fee: 249.00
Total: $28355.96
Invoice is $26,365, MSRP is $28,025 and TMV is $26,610 (all those numbers include destination).
That area isn't as competitive as MD or DC and your $26,266 selling price is just average. Seems like you could do better this time of year.
The OTD is $32,203 (31,823 + 380 dmv fee).
Can you please advise if this is a good deal? Thank you much in advance & happy holiday
There's also a $312 ad fee wrapped up in the invoice number. Guess that's a West Coast thing, don't see many of those for CR-Vs. It's a "legit" fee but I'd still try to take it out of the negotiations since its a cost of doing business kind of thing.
So let's say invoice is closer to $32,000. That puts your quote a couple of hundred dollars below invoice. Not bad but we see $500 to $1,500 deals in some markets, especially at month end.
You're doing fine but you may want to email Salem or another nearby town or two and shop the quote.
Good luck!
Per Honda's website, MSRP is 29195 (includes the $900 destination fee).
Based on Truecar, the invoice is $27,728. So with that in mind, and no extra options/accesories, if I am quoted $700 off invoice = 27728 - 500 = 27,228
and then x 1.1 (approx % for TT&L) = 29,950.8.
There - If i am quoted $29,950.8 OTD all fees/, TT&L inclusive. Is this a good deal? Or should I strive for more than $500 off invoice?
Basically in my previous experience is that if you can get the OTD price (inclusive of all fees, TT&L, no accessorizes/options) = MSRP price....you should be at an OK deal.
thoughts?
Thanks!
I will continue to negotiate for that target price and keep you posted in the result. Thanks again and happy holiday
Selling price: 22462

Thank you for our help.
I reside in Virginia Beach, VA (zip code: 23452)
I have done plenty of research, but am still having difficulty determining what constitutes a good deal on the car. The invoice is $23,042 on it right?
Today I received a quote OTD $25,220. It sounded really high to me (especially the $600 processing fee!) and I walked out, as the manager was not budging.
What is a good target price OTD?
Thanks in advance! I think what you guys do here is awesome!
Trim: EX AWD
Selling price with destination: $24,200

I was quoted a price of 26000 (OTD).for 2016 Honda CRV EX 2WD trim
MSRP + D&H $26,745
Dealer Price $23,577
Dealer Fee $699
Other Fees $188.45
Tax $1,540.87
Total $26,000.00
I did a test drive on EX-L (no navi) and liked the leather seats better.
So based on the MSRP difference in both cars (2,500)
Dealer is saying OTD price for 2WD EX-L will be 28,500
Is this good price.????
Also one more question at this time if I pick up any in stock 2015 CRV EXL 2WD, how much less can I expect to get from 2016 EX-L.
Thanks
I am in south Florida, the tax rate is 7%.
Strange thing is tax rage of Florida state is 7%. Some dealer calculate the tax with 6%, some with 7%.
The lowest OTD price I got is 24,000 for CR-V LX, FWD.
Is this a good deal?
If there is a room to negotiate, how much will it be?
Thank you very much!

Is this a good price??
I just purchased a '16 Honda CRV EX 2WD (no add ons) on 12/31.
MSRP: $26,725
I paid $26,800 OTD
Price before tax (9% Los Angeles County) and fees: $24234.91
How did I do?
Thank you for your help in advance.
And congrats!
I was quoting OTD price for 16 Honda CRV EX 2WD . I was in Phoenix area, Arizona with about 8% tax rate,
Is $26500 a good OTD price to bargain with dealers? (if dealer ask for my bottom line price)
I recently got a quote as below. However, it seems it is much higher than I expected:
MSRP Price: 26,700
Sale Price: 24,600
Window Tint: 300
Tax (estimate): 2000
Tag fee: 20
Doc Fee: 400
Lieu Tax : 450 (for car registration)
OTD: 27,770
Thank you for your help in advance.
I get invoice of $25,749, MSRP of $26,725 and TMV of $25,392. Not sure why your MSRP is rounded down $25.
So your sales price quote of $24,600 is good right off the bat, $1,100 off invoice. TMV is ~$400 less than invoice. That's lower than usual, usually TMV on CR-Vs is close to invoice give or take $100.
The other thing going on is that our numbers include the destination of $880 and get this - $600 in advertising fees. Even with the ad fee, you are getting a good number.
So, tell the dealer to pay for their own ads and tell 'em that their doc fees are about $350 too high. The tint is fine (you gotta have that, and the taxes are what they are). That would get you another $1,000 off.
Okay, the dealer likely isn't going to go that low, and my guess is that they already ate most of the ad fee in your quote. But there may be room for another $200 or $300 without too much hassle. That would get you to $1,000 off TMV or about $1,300 off invoice.
I was just over your way visiting friends and hitting the light show at the gardens, and I didn't see a whole lot of bargains in Phoenix. Your quote seems pretty aggressive - makes me think that there may be some "hidden" bonus money that is still good for another day or two.
Keep us posted, and good luck!
